Google Nexus 5 :: Tasker Automatically Turning Media Volume To Max?
Feb 10, 2014Tasker or any other program to automatically turn the media volume to max? This is convenient as I want the volume maxed out when I connect to my cars bluetooth (otherwise I really have to crank up the stereo volume), but I don't want media volume on max when not connected. In the past I have used one of two apps (Tasker or Bluetooth Connect & Play). Both of these apps are having issues adjusting the media volume when they worked perfectly on my pre kitkat phones. Sometimes it works correctly and maxes out the volume, other times it doesn't change it at all.

May 29, 2015Can I manually remove the safe volume warning? Im rooted. Also how about the screen that comes on everytime Bluetooth is toggled on? And lastly, the Google location consent everytime GPS is toggled. All 3 of these things are super redundant and super annoying.

Galaxy S6 :: IR Blaster Not Working Because Of Tasker
Apr 17, 2015So when I just got the phone I set up the Peel remote app and had it working great. After I got all my other apps setup the way I usually do, I found my IR blaster no longer worked no matter which remote app I tired, not even the Peel app which worked at first.
By using another camera, I realized the IR led was not even firing when a remote button was pressed although the notification led would flash the usual blue. After awhile I finally figured out it was tasker causing this. With tasker disabled, the IR blaster worked just like it should but the instant I enabled tasker it would stop working.
I value tasker more than the IR blaster but it would be very ideal if both worked...

Galaxy S6 :: Recent Apps Popup?
Jul 15, 2015 I use my phone now. The recent apps/multiwindow thing keeps popping up, no matter what I'm doing and even if I quit all my running apps. Despite restarts and complete phone drainage, this problem keeps occuring for the past month or 2.
I use my phone to play games a lot (like several hours a day), have active Line group conversations, use Facebook app frequently w/its Messenger app, and I also use Dodol Launcher for my phone too. I really don't want to go to the factory default method of fixing things, especially since it's a major pain to reinstall all the games that I have installed. However, a quick search through google doesn't seem to show any results about this continuous recent apps popup bug.

Whenever he gets an email come through there is a little popup that comes from behind his contacts icon on the main screen. This does not happen with my phone (I do not want it to and neither does he). I have compared settings in both phones and it looks to be the same. How to stop it?

Nov 19, 2015There are 3 location settings,
1. GPS, Wi-Fi and mobile networks - this lets Google use any of these to find your location even if Wi-Fi or location is turned off. When this is switched on, you'll often find Google Play Services is one of the biggest issues.
2. Wi-Fi and mobile networks - this disables the GPS chip inside your Galaxy S6 Edge and is probably the least useful of the three options. Relying on just mobile networks and Wi-Fi will allow you to find your location quickly but will then use a lot of data and battery as it relies on your Wi-Fi and mobile networks to keep track of your location.
3. GPS only - this is actually the mode I use as it prevents Google scanning in the background (more on that below). It has its pitfalls in that it can take a while to find your location but the battery savings from not having Google scanning are plentiful.
We know that option 1 and 2 could lead to extreme battery drain because Google uses the location manager and wake up the device. When you attempt to turn on either the first or the second option, you're greeted with a prompt from Google to "Improve location accuracy". The option means that anonymous location data can sporadically be sent to Google even when no apps are running, and as a result, this can have a large impact on your battery life, especially when using Google Now or widgets that depend on location. If I choose one of these options I do not see the dialog anymore. Maybe I accidentally clicked "don' t show again".
How can I get the dialog back? When I enable the locations, it is always set to option 1, even if I had 3 the last time.

Apr 10, 2015Since Lollipop update to 5.0 on my S5 Galaxy, whatsapp floating popup keeps showing up when i am using the phone (not unlocked) , no matter if i put on whatsapp config to do not show popup it always appears, it´s kinda annoying since when it is up, u cant hide it, or u click it, or u wait..

Jul 30, 2015I am having a serious problem with my Galaxy S6. The keyboard and any pop up menu for selection are not visible. I can see the keyboard and any selection menu when I rotate the screen then it vanishes very quickly.
I have disabled keyboard, cleared data and cache then restarted but it doesn't seem to work.
I have wiped all the cache partition, done a factory reset, flashed a stock 5.1.1 but the problem still exists.

Nov 2, 2015I have been using Tasker for quite some time to handle tweaking audio settings for sleep, work, etc. I have it set to mute all notifications except phone calls and alarms at night. I put my phone on the headboard at night so I have it handy in case of that dreaded late night phone call.However, it still vibrates. When I get a text message or email, it vibrates enough to wake me if I am sleeping light (early in the night, or almost time to get up). It's rather annoying.
I have messed around with Tasker settings, and Vibrate On Notify is not an option for this device for some reason. I have even downloaded a few "turn vibration off" apps, and none of them seem to do what they are supposed to do either.Even if I have to manually adjust some settings before bedtime, I'm ok with that.

Jul 31, 2015I'm finding my GPS settings have a significant impact on my battery life, with High Accuracy draining it too aggressively and Battery Saver Mode not working for navigation or my running app (RunKeeper). Can Tasker be set up to change my GPS settings to High Accuracy when I launch either one of those two apps, then back to Battery Saver when I close them without having rooted my phone?

Am I missing something? The 6P is rooted and I know these tasks works because I imported them over from my last phone.

Aug 1, 2015I just got my G4 recently and I am very new to Android. So when I was surfing the web using Chrome, I bump into a website that show popup ads and only "Ok" option available, so I just keep clicking "ok" and "ok", sometime my phone vibrate and there's few times it also download some file and went to my 'Downloads' apps, but I didn't open/click the files, will my phone got virus or any prob?
Btw, I immediately download file explorer app and delete the files inside the 'Downloads' folder, but the file still exist in 'Downloads' app.
