Call volume seems pretty low, my older s4 seemed to have been a little louder at full volume, but when full on the s6 im struggling to hear people sometimes.
Also, there is an option called 'extra volume' and when i press this on, there doesn't seem to be any difference in volume?
I am finding that when i am talking on the phone and even though i have it set to full volume, it seems lower than my S4 was, there is an option i have seen called 'extra volume', but when i have turned this on, i havnt actually noticed much difference in volume?
Any way to make the in call volume louder permanently? Mine is very low even with the volume all the way up and there doesn't seem to be a difference when i hit the extra volume command.
I find the call volume very low even in a quiet environment. If outside, I find it very difficult to hear what my clients have said. One fact business people love blackberry is because it has got good call and ringtone volume.N900's ringtone volume is good, but the call volume is just too low. (I have already used the side button to max the call volume, the strange thing is, 50% and 100% make very little difference...)
Just got my new M8 on Friday, and the only problem I seem to be having is when I am using the phone as a phone (no bluetooth, just phone to ear), I can barely hear what the other person is saying. The volume is just way too low. Volume sliders are all set to max, and using the volume up button during the call doesn't work. Call volume is ok over my bluetooth, though I wish it could be a bit louder.
I've seen on internet tons of people complaining about the sound quality during calls on HTC One X.Do you guys have this issue too, because I have it and ...is there any fix for that?I can hear people's voices in my ear-set only in quiet environments, no chance to hear them in a bit louder ones.Any chance that HTC makes a patch for this expensive device we bought , so we can actually use it as a proper phone it should be?
I feel like my iPhone 4's call volume (when holding it to my ear) seems very low. Maximum volume feels like close to the same as minimum volume on my old phone (not an iPhone). Anything lower than maximum volume is not a comfortable volume and I've always been one to keep it pretty low anyway (not this low). Speaker/iPod volume isn't so bad. But if people are saying that their speaker/iPod/ringer volumes are so loud they need to keep it somewhere in the middle, then I can't say mine is anywhere near that loud either.
I have just realized that when making/receiving calls, the volume is really soft even after I crank the in-call volume to 100%. The experience is as if the person on the other end of the line is covering the mic when talking (like a muffled sound).I did the service test (Menu-Back-Back-Menu-Back-Menu-Menu-Back) on the earphone, and the volume is way much louder at 100%. Is there anyway for me to reach a similar (as in the service test) volume level when making/receiving calls? I don't mind if the volume at 100% is too loud for my ear to handle, I can always adjust it to a lower volume. But, when the volume is still soft even at 100%?
I have a strange problem on my iphone. It was mentioned in this forums but none of them solves my problem.1.Problem:While making a call, I can barely hear the voice from the headset. Call volume is max ( also the system volume ) yet it is still too law. There is no plastic cover on my iphone. I have restored the phone to IOS 5.1 yet problem stands still and it is really annoying.2.Problem: While recording a video with the default camera app, sound is not recorded. That is very strange because my mic works quite fine during the calls. When I use a third party video recording or sound recording app from the app store sound is being recorded without any problem yet with the default camera app I can hear some noise only when i tap on the mic with my finger but no sound. This should be a software problem yet restoring or upgrading to the new firmwares hasnt solved the problem.
3.Problem:Speakerphone: As mentioned on the 1.st problem I couldnt hear the voice from the other side during calls, so I tried the speakerphone. Now this is very strange, Spekerphone during a call works fine with the speaker on the bottom of the phone, yet the other side can not hear my voice! :I That is really strange because as I mentioned before my microphone works fine with the third party apps, during normal calls, skype calls, etc.All of these problems since to be software related problems. My Iphone 4 was a gift to me, my uncle bought it from Qatar and its global warranty is unfortunately not valid in Turkey
all of a sudden the call volume on my iPhone 4s has dropped to just a whisper. This happened this weekend unexpectedly. I have checked the forum for similar issues but not found anything that is applicable since
A) I don't have the plastic cover on the front or anything else blocking the speaker on the front.
B) I have tried to increase the call volume while in a call without success.
C) I have had the phone for months without any call volume issues
The only solutions right now are to use an earpiece or put calls on speaker (which I can't do at work). I have tried a hard reset and that did not help. Tonight I will try a reinstall from a previous backup to see if that helps.
I have an iPhone 4 which I've had since last summer. All of a sudden (within last few days), the volume during a call is so low that I can hardly hear the caller. I have checked that my volume is up full during a call. There is no protective film over the phone. The earpiece looks clear of any debris. I have tried restoring settings but volume remains low.
New to Android, coming from a blackberry passport and all blackberries before that.
My in call volume automatically changes to about 75 percent whenever I answer the phone or call out, and I have to turn it back up. Is this a bug? Or am I just missing a menu somewhere in settings.
My mom has a 1520 and every time she calls I can barely hear her but she can hear me quite well. Same thing happens when she calls others and they all complain they can hardly hear her. After 5 or 6 secs into the call the volume gets a little louder but not as loud as it should be. She even set it to full level at 10. I asked her to connect a headset/earphones while on the call and that actually worked and the volume was loud and clear but as soon as she unplugs the earphones, the volume drops to a very low level.
Since a couple of weeks ago, some people have tell me that my phone's volume is too low. I test it and it's really low. When I switch to speaker, it sounds great. What could be happening?
after update to 5.0 (or after reset) is volume during call very low. Although the volume button is on 'maximum' I am not able to hear someone if I am outside. Ofc in quiet room I can hear something. Nexus 5 like this is unusable now.
I love my N6, but the in call volume is atrocious. I can barely hear anyone on the end. I can't see why google wouldn't have a immediate fix for this, its ridiculous.
Hi I have an iPhone 4 and when any calls are received or made the volume is very quiet so quiet that I need to be in a completely silent room to hear it properly even though the volume is up full.
Bought Nokia 603 yesterday and im very pleased with it. however im having a problem with it searched for it and on internet and found nothing. 603's in call volume is way too low. i have set volume to max but still if i call someone or they call me earpiece (not headphone) volume is very low.
The in-call and ringer volume on X10 is way too low, I can hardly hear the other party on a call at a shopping centre or food court. This is very frustrating as making a phone call is the most basic function of a phone but X10 fail in this aspect badly. I am sure a firmware upgrade can increase the volume on X10, its just a matter of whether SE will implement it....can everyone who had low in-call and ringer volume problem of your X10 report here?
Recently i have noticed a strange problem with my X10. During a call the volume drops to practically minimum and i have to boost it up again only to have it dropping which is a huge inconvenience. I tried to byepass this by installing "Volume lock" while this helps it does help in keeping the volume at a fixed level it does not address the root cause of the problem.
I would like to know the official comment from Sony on the low in call volume of the X10. There are load & loads of people on the web complaining about the issue, on my X10, I can only hear a phone call if I am indoors in an extremely quiet location.. if I am outside, near a road etc I cant hear, and it is even worse on speaker phone. I would estimate the volume needs to be boosted by 50 to 100%, seriously the lowest volume of any phone I have ever owned.. which is a shame, as the rest of the phone is great.
Is there an official fix / patch in the works for the volume issue? or is this not being recognised as a widespread issue.. or is the hardward simply not able to do it?
It seems if I use "Poweramp", as a music player, I can adjust the EQ and boost the volume of Mp3's etc to a fairly decent level (much louder than the phone volume), so I'm sure it could be done with software...
I am only after an official Sony response, not people's opinion's, there are lots of other Posts like that, but I cant find any response from Sony to the issue.
There was an article Posted in August 2010 on xperiax10.net.. but I have heard nothing since. [URL]
I have a Nokia model 1661. Is there a way to turn up the volume when talking on the phone (or even before the call)? What is the symbol to right of the signal strength mean? It looks like 2 circles with a line connecting them at the bottom.
When I am outside and I receive a call I can barely hear the person!! I've pushed the volume button up to 10 during a call but I still can barely hear a thing! I've had to resort to selecting loudspeaker to be able to hear anything. Obviosuly this isn't ideal!
I am experimenting a very weird and annoying problem with my Lumia 900. Since last night the volume level during the phone call became suddenly very very low. I can hardly hear the other speaker. Apparently this is only happening during a phone call in normal mode. If I press the loudspeaker button, for example, I can hear the conversation perfectly as usual. Same using the earpiece: I can hear and talk without any problem. Moreover, the audio output appears to be OK outside the phone call itself: when using apps, music, games or any other feature except the phone call, I can't spot anything abnormal in the volume level, everything appears to work properly.
I would like to point out that:1) the volume level during the call is set to the max. level as usual (10/10)2) the master volume of the device, as set though both right-hand buttons, is set as usual to the max. level (30/30).3) I turned off and on the device at least five times since last night. Unfortunately the problem persists4) I made several tests by dialing different numbers, with no success: the volume level is still very very low during a call.5) I did not notice any other problem in the last days nor the device suffered any "catastrophic" event. In other words, I can only hear a speaker during a phone call either keeping the loudspeaker always on or using the earpiece. It's like my call volume were set to 1 or 2, while it is actually set to 10!I am really surprised, I bought my Lumia 900 end of June and I was very, very satisfied so far
When I make a call there is a box near the volume that has 5 x's in it. It reminds me of dice. Any clue what it can be? I was going to go Verizon store tomorrow.
