Now that Google Photos is offering free unlimited storage, I'd like to switch from OneDrive to Photos, but I can't find Photos anywhere on my phone. I could have sworn - in fact I KNOW - I used to have it. I checked Titanium Backup and disabled apps and cannot find this app on my phone anywhere. Searching for it on the Play store yields NO results.
View 4 RepliesI'm very new to an Iphone, even though I've had this phone for over two years. I'm not sure how to actually do anything on it besides text/call/internet/photos+videos. My storage is full (I have over 2000) pictures and I'm needing to transfer them pictures to my computer. I can't use Icloud due to having to much and I'm not paying the extra. So, when I plug my phone into my computer it isn't even recognizing it on ITunes. I'm not sure if that's what I'm even supposed to transfer them to.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI use my s2 as a storage device to transfer files between home and work but the free space on my usb storage seems to be lower than it should be.The total space says 11.50gb and between pictures, audio and downloads etc its says i am using 3.19gb but it lists my free space at 3.67gb so where is the missing 4.64gb? If i recall i used to have over 6gb of free space so im not sure why this has dropped. I havent added any more files since then because once ive transfered my files between home and work i delete them.

Usually when I clean out the files, everything will be all fine and dandy, but recently (which means, 30 minutes ago), I tapped the "Device Storage." and I did something, and It processed and everything seemed to be fine, because usually when I clean something out , for instance"videos", "Audio." or "Documents.", my photos and such are still there. But when I came back from a quick errand, I went into gallery to see that ALL my photo albums were completely gone. they had vanished, and to where I have no clue. I do not have an sd card, but I do have micro SD Sim installed into my galaxy s5, and I know for a fact that everything in your phone is there for eternity whether or not you deleted it, so right now how to gain back ALL of my five albums filled with photos. I had some beautiful photos that I would hate to lose.

I read that if I remove my original pictures from my S6, all those pictures will be removed from my google photos as I am interacting with the cloud--instead of just my android phone. But I need to clear up some space on my 64gb phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the international SM-G920I version of the S6, running the latest 5.1.1 update.Recently, it has started giving me issues in the Google Photos app. I am unable to back up any photos. When I go open the app and go to the Assistant tab, it always shows "Backing up 1 item out of XX".
When I go to the "Backup & Sync" settings of the app, I get constant toast notifications saying "Backing up 1 out of XX". I factory reset my phone and tried again, however the issue persists. I am able to upload photos onto Google Photos using my computer, so it does not seem to be an issue in my Google account.
How can I change the name of the taken photos from camera, cuz every time I upload my photos to a cloud storage and empty my phone, the name of the photos retune automatically to DCS_0022. So when I upload the photos again to the cloud I have to rename them because there are other photos with the same name.

All the pictures from my Nexus 5 are on Google Photos. I have Google Photos selected under my sync options for my account, but I can't seem to get them on my phone. I would like them on my phone so that I can select them to send to people and such in my gallery when I want to send an image using Google Messenger or something.
I was also wondering if there was a way to use my contact pictures from google or other places (Facebook maybe) on the S6 stock Contacts app.
When I back up to the cloud, all the photos in the gallery app copy. Pictures listed in the photos album do not. What should I do.

On all my previous Samsung Galaxy phones I could display my Picasa photos in the gallery, but I cannot work out how to do this with the S6 Edge (or even if it can be done)? I liked the feature because it meant I had access to all photos in 1 place... if this can be done on S6 Edge?

Is there a fix that I am simply overlooking? Because it's not even close to be honest.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI will start by saying that I did/do like the service/price of Red Pocket. I mean you $49.99 for "Unlimited Everything" except data, No Contract etc... Very appealing to me that was for sure. However, I recently found out that there isn't always TRUTH in Advertising!!! After weeks in the field training Soldiers for Combat, I finally got a Weekend off. So Naturally my phone got a little busy especially since it was also my Birthday Weekend (we call this "Peek Traffic"). Being a Single Soldier I had multiple "Lady Friends" communicating with me that wanted to spend time and celebrate with me during my minimal time off. However, unknown to me Red Pocket has their system set so that if you send/receive 1,000 texts in a 24hr period the system will automatically turn off your texting ability. When I called in to figure out why text wasn't working the Operator (can't call them Customer Service Reps as they don't have enough training and that would require them to actually Resolve your issues and make the Customer happy) said that it was cut off because I had 1,000 texts in a 24 hour period and that is considered "Unreasonable Use (UU)" according to their "Terms and Conditions (TC)". She just kept repeating that phrase and talking about the 1000 texts like I was so wrong and I was a horrible person for it. When the fact was I usually don't use it that much but had been in an Army Exercise for weeks and was my first day off and out of the woods in weeks. yes I was talking to several women at once and having "individual"conversations with each of them. Isn't that what men do? Especially men that have been in Combat Training for weeks with no chance to socialize and talk to any ladies?
I read the TC para III (b) and no where does it mention anything about 1000 texts in a 24 hour period and it says that texts are allowed unlimited provided that it's for conversations between individuals. This is what Red Pocket's definition in the TC is: "UNLIMITED text services are provided solely for live messaging purposes between two individuals" (this was taken directly from their TC). This was exactly the type of messages that I had during that period. This is what the TC says can allow Red Pocket to disconnect your text: "UNLIMITED text services may not be used for Premium SMS which utilizes short codes, SMS chat programs, monitoring services, data transmissions, or other connections that do not consist of uninterrupted live messaging purposes between two individuals." Can someone Please tell me how these two phrase equate to an Operator telling me that my use was Unreasonable? Especially since this is their definition of Unreasonable? It also says that prior to RP taking any action that they would notify the user. I wasn't ever notified and they just turned it off the afternoon before my Birthday and during conversations with my lady friends. Then the operator said it was impossible to turn back on unless I purchased a new plan. A new plan??? This one was only 13 days old... Why would I pay another $49.99 just to get text messaging? She also said that there was no one else to speak with about it and that there was no supervisor. Now I can understand why they wrote the TC like they did. They wrote it so that Companies and idiots can't purchase one of their plans and spam people with advertisements and such and send out thousands of texts for business purposes etc... But These texts were not for any business purposes.. They were for Socialization Coordination Efforts commonly referred to as "booty calls"... All they had to do was look and could have been able to tell that easily. But at least as a Customer Service Rep, you should at least be able to resolve a customer's issue and make them happy to keep them as a customer. Especially something as simple as turning text back on and offering a warning or something. So beware All.... Unlimited to Red Pocket means find a reason to turn off your service and force you to Purchase an Additional Plan. So maybe their definition of Unlimited is an unlimited scheme to get your money. I am writing this for two purposes: 1. Because Red Pocket needs to be aware that their Employees are incompetent at Customer Service and Because there doesn't`1 seem to be any leadership when you call there. 2. For the amusement of others to laugh at such a lengthy post regarding the loss of Text messages. Because on the grand scheme of things this is a small thing. But hey if no one ever says anything about them or to them, then they will continue to treat others like that.
