View 3 RepliesOn Sprint Stock OC9, and rooted.I am wondering if there is a way to disable some of the system notifications like "Charging... xx minutes Until Full" or the "Location Set By GPS". These are rather unnecessary. The GPS icon can stay but I don't need a notification along with it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to disable these notification in the drop down tray? If I have everything going like normal, there are 5 notifications that I cannon clear off that take up the entire drop down. Makes everything look cluttered.Cable charging, connected as media deice, power save on, 1 device connected for tether, and then the select keyboard. I am rooted, and if it matters, the phone is an ATT G920A.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI know a lot of you here would love the battery life i am getting so i do not mean to sound like i am complaining! I am mostly just curious! Basically i was amazed with how good my battery life was initially. I think on my second full charge i managed 8h30mins screen on time and probably averaged somewhere between 7hours - 8h30mins for the fist few days (needless to say i made tweaks to achieve those results as i always do when i buy a new phone)
I have since disabled anther 2 or 3 apps and i have also turned off location and used black themed wallpapers purely just to test if i could get even further from the battery! However the opposite has happened! Suddenly iam doing well if i make it to 5h30mins
I know that may not seem bad .......... but its not great considering the amount of tweaks i have made and i am at a loss to understand how i was getting 7-8 hours screen on time for the first few days/week!
Iam wondering if i could have disabled an app that could be behind this?
When i viewed my battery usage before i would often see chrome, facebook etc using a little battery where as now its screen, android system, android os, cell standby, device idle etc and recently peoplestripe is appearing as using 1%...
I have a Samsung S6 Edge. Every time I turn on GPS, either High Accuracy or Battery Saver.. whenever I lock my phone... i lose that GPS signal. Everytime time I wake it back up or unlock it..i will see a "searching for location", then a "location found". This happens for ALL application, Google Maps, Verizon Navigotor, MapMyRun, etc. This is very frustrating as I use these apps all the time and I cant keep my phone 'unlocked' as then the screen is active and I would accidently click things.
ADDITIONALLY, after using the GPS, I will then shut off the location feature and then my phone will continually say "searching for location", even with location off. I close all my current applications etc.. and it still says searching. This message does not go away until i turn back on location or restart my phone.
When I go to location settings, i see "recent location requests" of "Google Play services" and Location Services of "Google Location History".. that is it!
I am about to the point of wiping out my phone and starting over. (which i dont want to do). I have not battery saver or app killers downloaded on my phone so that cant be it.
Trying to reset back to 4.4, I factory wiped my phone. However, voice-to-text now says "automatic" and I can't switch it off, forcing me to hold it on my keypad, just to get to the emoji's. How can I turn it off and/or set my emoji's as the default button on my keyboard? I'm using the Samsung keyboard, and I had no problems with this until I factory wiped it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Galaxy S5 phone is always on vibration mode. If I have a notification and I don't remove it, it keeps reminding me every few minutes (two quick vibrations, three and a half times in a row) and I would really like to make it stop.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got the Galaxy S5 and cannot figure out how to suppress the red Facebook indicator bubble (this probably has a name) that shows on the Facebook app icon on the home screen when there has been some sort of activity. Under Application Manager, Facebook...the Show Notification box is unchecked.
I've also tried Settings, Sounds and notifications, Facebook and turned On the Block all notifications. Still getting the bubble!
Is there any way of stopping audible notifications when playing music on the S2? I find the pause in the music and beep really annoying, but can't find a way of switching it off.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo for the past couple weeks my LG G3 phone keeps disabling my password. I will set it up and on a pin or knock code and after about 10 minutes it will be back on swipe. It is not freezing or lagging or anything like that. It just keeps getting rid of my password.

My phone always freezes for 5-10 seconds when the smiley "loads" after I've typed, for example, "" and this problem is making messaging rather difficult. I've updated the phone couple of times in the past month so that's not a working solution.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to permanently disable the gmail app (or better yet, delete it)? Basically, I want to use my gmail account for gtalk and google voice only. (By way of background, I don't use gmail for email, but i do have some email accounts that will forward mail to my gmail account, so I do wind up having "new mail" in gmail every now and then.)
I already have the sync setting turned to OFF under settings -> accounts & sync -> auto sync is OFF and under "manage accounts," my google/gmail account is set to OFF for sync. This seemed to be working fine until I downloaded the update for the HTC one, and upon installation and reboot, all of my apps did a global sync and gmail started ticking again.
I know that I can turn off gmail notifications as a (temporary) workaround, but I'm hoping there is a more permanent solution.
My daughter has this alarm that looks like a radio that keeps going off at 4am everymorning. I am not familiar with the Curve and would like to know how to disable it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to disable the 3G functionality on my brand new, recently purchased, beautiful T715A and surprise, surprise, the menu option is not there ( Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Mobile networks > GSM/3G networks > GSM Only). My guess is Fido (my wireless provider) installed a custom firmware that simply hides this option. So, my question is: does anyone know one of those secret codes that can turn on/off the 3G?I'm trying to do this because the battery gets drained pretty fast (about 4h talk time with 3G on compared to 10h with GSM only).I called the provider, but they can't do anything about it and directed me to Sony Ericsson.
View 7 Replies View RelatedIn a effort to make my WHITE Z5c "behave", I am trying to clean up my almost empty phone even more.
When I go to SETTINGS>APPS>DOWNLOADED, I have uninstalled any apps that I rarely use.
What I would like to to is to DISABLE some of the apps I NEVER use that came pre installed on the phone.
Apps such as AR EFFECT, HANGOUTS etc.
I am reluctantly going to peal off my expensive screen protector as well.
Is there a way to do this? I've searched the settings and didn't find anything. I also tried Silent Boot from the Play Store and that didn't work either. What am I missing?

And when I enable mobile data, this ‘Mobile data enabled’ notification appears. Even though the notification only last for about a second, it is still irritating. This notification only starts appearing 3 days ago, previously there isnt' this notification.
