Is there any way to disable these highly annoying emoticons in text messages etc.? My phone always freezes for 5-10 seconds when the smiley "loads" after I've typed, for example, "" and this problem is making messaging rather difficult. I've updated the phone couple of times in the past month so that's not a working solution.

This is like the 10nth time this has happened. The sim service menu(one with the sim card icon) does not open when clicked which is annoying as I use it alot.I usually have to do a full restore which deletes all my data to make it work again which really sucks. Then a few weeks later the problem reapears again, and that sucks even more. Im really fatigued at this point. Whats the point of saving stuff when you have to delete it every other week? Is there any other way to fix this without losing my data?
New member frustrated with paucity of help from user manual. Anyone familiar with the above message - occurs when I touch "contacts " on the screen. It may have resulted from copying contacts from sim to phone, ot vice versa, but cant recall.
So for the past couple weeks my LG G3 phone keeps disabling my password. I will set it up and on a pin or knock code and after about 10 minutes it will be back on swipe. It is not freezing or lagging or anything like that. It just keeps getting rid of my password.
Is there a way to permanently disable the gmail app (or better yet, delete it)? Basically, I want to use my gmail account for gtalk and google voice only. (By way of background, I don't use gmail for email, but i do have some email accounts that will forward mail to my gmail account, so I do wind up having "new mail" in gmail every now and then.)
I already have the sync setting turned to OFF under settings -> accounts & sync -> auto sync is OFF and under "manage accounts," my google/gmail account is set to OFF for sync. This seemed to be working fine until I downloaded the update for the HTC one, and upon installation and reboot, all of my apps did a global sync and gmail started ticking again.
I know that I can turn off gmail notifications as a (temporary) workaround, but I'm hoping there is a more permanent solution.
On Sprint Stock OC9, and rooted.I am wondering if there is a way to disable some of the system notifications like "Charging... xx minutes Until Full" or the "Location Set By GPS". These are rather unnecessary. The GPS icon can stay but I don't need a notification along with it.

1) I have trouble disabling notifications Such as Facebook and email and twitter. I wanted my device to show new messages only when I open it, not constantly pushing it to me! Anyone knows how to do that? 2)When I tried to open My World from App World, it took soo long to initialize it.
I'm trying to disable the 3G functionality on my brand new, recently purchased, beautiful T715A and surprise, surprise, the menu option is not there ( Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Mobile networks > GSM/3G networks > GSM Only). My guess is Fido (my wireless provider) installed a custom firmware that simply hides this option. So, my question is: does anyone know one of those secret codes that can turn on/off the 3G?I'm trying to do this because the battery gets drained pretty fast (about 4h talk time with 3G on compared to 10h with GSM only).I called the provider, but they can't do anything about it and directed me to Sony Ericsson.
Is there a way to do this? I've searched the settings and didn't find anything. I also tried Silent Boot from the Play Store and that didn't work either. What am I missing?

It's really annoying when the phone chhoses what you want to write, or rather misprexicts your intended word, causing you to waste time deleting and retyping.Sometimes the text window obstructs view of the text you want to copy! Every time I unlock my Z2 and not connected to the internet, there will be this ‘Not connected to Internet’ notification appearing in the middle of my screen. And when I enable mobile data, this ‘Mobile data enabled’ notification appears. This notification appears on top of anything and it is blocking my view especially when I want to use the keyboard to type. Part of the keyboard is blocked by this notification. Even though the notification only last for about a second, it is still irritating. This notification only starts appearing 3 days ago, previously there isnt' this notification.
I would like to know how to disable this notification.
I had no issues with this at all until the Lollipop update. I have 1 WIFI network that my phone will connect to and sometimes stay connected with no issues at all, but most of the time it will connect for a couple of minutes and the the network changes to a 'Disabled' status.
