Why is the SD card disabled when I put the phone is USB 3.0 mode. Wouldn't I want to be able to transfer things off and onto my SD card with the fastest possible speed? Is there a way to transfer with USB 3.0 and have the SD card enabled?

In setting it up I realized that as soon as my corporate email syncs with the device the SD card and the WiFi settings are disabled permenantly. Is there anyway I can get around this? Or is there something our IT department has to do differently to support this phone? I did not have this problem with my origninal droid.

However, It appears that you can only access the internal memory of the phone in this mode. Strangely, it does have a folder called external_sd, but this seems to reference a folder on the internal space. How I can access my external (32 gig) card.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI finally got my phone set up the way I wanted it using nova launcher and some icon themes. The first thing I tested was the tap to wake/sleep as I was disappointed to find out doesn't work.
I'd be willing to get a different launcher if it works with the tap feature but my first choice is to get it working with nova.
I've noticed that out of nowhere moto voice assist disables itself. Once in a while I would use my wakeup phrase and there would be no response. Then I'd check the moto app and it would be asking me to tap the microphone icon to setup moto voice assist.

It is like it completely disables my adapter. I have to unplug the phone, remove the adapter, then plug the adapter back in to get my internet connection back. I just want to update my phone!

I know I can hotspot, but when I hotspot it, disables the WiFi an uses my phone data... is there a way that I can b connected to WiFi and share the WiFi connection not my mobile data...
I had this on my iPhone 4s on iOS 6 with MyWi an it was called WiFi sharing. Is there a way to do it with my Nexus 5? I have foxfi, but it disables my WiFi an uses my mobile data.
Every time I run an update it disables my texting abilities. I have called my carrier, who in turn gives me over to there blackberry techs who cant figure the problem out. Every time this happens they have to do something on there end to get my text messaging going again. I KNOW this is not the answer.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI use my N5 to hotspot connect to my car mounted tablet. It does this automatically using Tasker (great app!). It has been working great for a year. But recently, when I make a call, I get a message saying "Disabled Wi-Fi hotspot due to SIM subscription change".I can get it on again if I manually go in an toggle it back on after the call. But this is obviously not preferred to do while driving.

I want to get this back to original stock firmware based on the G920i. The only problem is that I cannot get into Download Mode to be able to use Odin. I have tried all of the hardware combinations and the only thing is does is take me to a Factory Mode, where the options are Auto Test, Manual Test, Item Test, Test Report, Debug Test, Clear eMMC, Version, and Reboot.

I always use the onboard Music player and I always have the Shuffle feature ON.Before the Anna update, I could press "Back" pick a song in the list and continue listening in shuffle mode.
After Anna update, every time I press back and pick a song shuffle gets disabled. I really don't like that and the fact that it does something I didn't ask it to do. I just picked a song, I didn't pick "disable shuffle as well".
Not sure what the problem is, but I think it's a problem with my AV software or something else on my PC or an app that's on my phone, rather than a hardware problem.A few days ago I started having problems accessing the memory card via my PC when my phone was plugged in. A restart of both fixed it on all occasions, now even that doesn't work.It shows up in My Computer but when I try to open it my PC tells me to insert a disk into drive I.It has worked without fail in the past , because my AV software used to flash up a warning that Autorun has been disabled for that device.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI would like to do a factory reset on my Galaxy s5. While attempting to back-up files on my SD card I realized...I don't have an SD card. The problem with this is that my device shows many apps installed on the SD card (Settings->Device->Applications->Application manager shows apps on SD card).
There is nothing in the microSD card slot above the SIM card slot on the back of my phone. Is there another location for an SD card that I am not aware of and not seeing? If not, how is my phone reading that there are apps stored on the SD card when there is no SD card?
It was 5 weeks old and developed a screen issue, went back to repair centre, came back fixed.....All good.....Well no.Now, when the silent icon on the drop down curtain says silent, its not, when you select to change this from the long press of the power on/off button (It gives you a turn device off option, deactivate/activate data, Airplane mode and Silent off and on)The turn on silent mode actually does the opposite?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Bionic is connected to my Exchange Server @ my Firm. My Firm requires Device/Storage Encryption, which the Bionic supports just fine. Now that our phones/SD cards are encrypted when the phone is connected to a PC and the SD card mounted the pics are no longer readable because they are encrypted. Windows is unable to read them, if I email that pic from my phone to my gmail I can open it just fine. If I try to open it direct from the SD its a NO GO. I already ruled out that its my PC I tried 5 other including my personal PC at home...NO GO! So how to I access the pictures direct off the SD?

When it tells me to tap to enter KNOX mode it asks for a password, what it might be as I never created one.
So i recently switched to a new rom from my previous rooted one. Unfortunatly, i forgot to enable developer debugging or oem unlock in developer options before i restarted, so now my phone is in a boot loop. It wont go into recovery mode, or boot into the system. I can only go into download mode. My knox is tripped, and it shows frp lock. So far i tried flashing the stock 5.1.1 firmware using odin, and it fails on nand write. Tried flashing a new bl and cp, but frp blocks it.

Seems to be when i was trying to flash the original firmware, i got an old one, F6, when the correct one is F8. Went through with odin and seems like everything is back on track!
I've been reading through every post I can find online, but I can't find anything about getting DM Mode functional. So far, I know it can be enabled by using ##366633#, but for some reason it's still not working. On the S5 you could enable CP Logging and that would make it functional, but this option is conveniently absent on the S6. I have an SM-G920V.

Tried to turn on today and it only boots to download mode, everything else just reboots the phone. Also it will only turn on when connected to USB so i'm guessing the battery is dead also.
My main concern is I have photos that I really want to try and recover and yes I know I know, always have a backup, as a desktop technician I really should have had that setup on my phone but here we are.
So my main target is to somehow get into recovery mode and then use ADB to pull files from the phone.
I've tried to flash many different recovery files but they always fail in Odin v3.10.7, log for Odin is:
