Jul 3, 2010I have removed all screen protectors and it still the same. Screen will go black in a call it won't reactivate 90% of the time and it's only a week old.

Google Nexus 5 :: Hotspot Disables During Call Then Stays Off
Nov 4, 2015I use my N5 to hotspot connect to my car mounted tablet. It does this automatically using Tasker (great app!). It has been working great for a year. But recently, when I make a call, I get a message saying "Disabled Wi-Fi hotspot due to SIM subscription change".I can get it on again if I manually go in an toggle it back on after the call. But this is obviously not preferred to do while driving.

Dec 16, 2010has anyone tried to change the default phone call screen? I find it rather annoying because it's easier to touch with my ear the two top edges and the result is that the call get muted or i get the speaker on.

Jul 3, 2010I recently sent in my Z3 to the Sony repair center for some reception issues. When it came back, My phone is locked with the message on the top left of the screen saying "SIM Is Perso Locked". I now have to enter a SIM network unlock PIN which I do not have. I have called Sony and they could not provide a code. I have received one from my phone carrier (Wind Mobile) but that did not work.Is my phone now locked to Wind Mobile? And how would I receive a proper unlock code?

Apr 15, 2015As a fairly new X2 owner (I just switched from an X1 a few weeks ago), one thing that really bugs me is that when I'm on a call that I originate, the phone does not remain on the "call in progress" screen. Instead it goes back to the home screen and if I want to access any "call in progress" options, I have to pull down the notification shade.
Is there any way to change this? Do I have any options?

Mar 25, 2015If I want to make the Z5 a call and dial the number and pick up the phone, the screen goes black and I can do nothing more. It then responds to anything, not even on the Power button until the other ends the call. Then, the screen lights up again and it goes back all normal.

Oct 30, 2015So just got my 6p yesterday but it seems as though ambient display although turned on is not working ND when I answer a phone call my screen stays black during the call and won't wake up.
So apparently it's because the tempered glass screen protector is covering the proximity sensor. I still have to actually test that theory out once I get a new protector but from doing some digging that most def it. Just a heads up I used the one by super shieldz so don't buy that one until they make a cut out for the sensor.

May 6, 2014THE most annoying bug for me so far - I got the phone set to automatically lock (pattern unlock) after 2 minutes of the screen being off. If I receive a call, proximity sensor hits the screen off as you'd expect. 2 minutes later I have to wake the screen manually with the power button, unlock it just to be able to end the call.

Aug 1, 2015My Xperia Z2's screen work perfectly fine until I need to make a call. The second i hit the person's name on the call log, the screen becomes black, eccentially shutting off and not allowing me to turn it back on until the call has ended. The only way for me to end call is to press the power button. And if I do not have the setting on to do so, the power button still does not allow me to turn on the screen.
Now, I thought it was something wrong with the proximity censor (as in a Hardware fault, explained in the back story) until yesterday when i woke up and suddenly I could make a call with the screen on, but now the person on the other side was not recieving my Audio (but my phone mic was still working). After turning my phone off and back on, it reverted back to being able to make a call, but not being able to use the screen.

I have to unlock using the side unlock key, and answer the phone. I now set the Any key Answer function on, so I can answer by pressing the white key or the unlock side key. But I am afraid that the side lock key is going to give after prolonged use. And it's kind of inconvenient especially when I don't want to answer a call. I have tried soft reset, hard reset, and taking out the battery and everything. Nothing worked. Can anyone give me advice on this issue?
