Dec 19, 2015Samsung Galaxy S6 im trying to change the settings in the phone and i need the idle time a little longer. so i went to the settings > Display > Screen timeout i can change the screen timeout from 15 seconds to 30 seconds just fine but if i try to select the 1 mins, 3, mins, 5 mins, and 10 mins a dialog box will appear

Screen will be turned off when screen is locked. Secured lock is currently set to 30 seconds. I need the phone idle time longer.
Galaxy S6 :: Shortcuts Not Landing On Home Screen Despite Settings?
Aug 20, 2015I have about 5 screens, with the middle one set as a home screen. I've set in google play app to put a shortcut of new apps to home screen, but it actually add them to the very left one. The same is happening when trying to create a shortcut for contact - pin to home screen and I find them all on the very left screen instead.
Double-press of home button takes me correctly to my home screen...

May 14, 2015Here's the problem - I pull down my notification screen and as I'm reading the notifications, my phone locks after 3-5 seconds of inactivity.
I can't for the life of me find anything in settings to change this so that I can view my notifications for a longer period of time before the phone locks. It's not so bad during the day because I'm able to check my phone regularly before getting a large build up of notifications, but it's frustrating when I wake up and have a long list that I want to read through to decide which notifications I want to read first.

Galaxy S5 :: Lollipop Lock Screen Quick Settings?
Jan 23, 2015I've just upgraded to the Galaxy S5 (I've defected from the 'other side'!) and updated the OS to Lollipop. There's apparently a new feature which allows you to access things like the flash light, wifi etc from the lock screen (Screen shot below). But I'm swiping down on the lock screen and nothings happening. Is this something that needs turning on in settings somewhere? I've been hunting round on the net and whiles there's plenty of articles covering the new feature, theres nothing on how to enable it.....if it needs enabling.

Dec 3, 2012i like the screen display nice and bright so when i go into - settings - display - brightness - menu i untick the automatic brightness box and move the slider almost all the way to the right and press ok to exit - leaving the automatic brightness box unticked .but the next time i go to use my phone either to text or make or receive a call somehow the automatic brightness box has a tick in it and the screen goes into the automatic brightness settings by going dim again .whatever i do and however many times i untick the automatic brightness box it still manages to tick itself the next time i use the phone?

Says to go to setting>lock screen>unlock effect...Problem is that unlock effect is not there! I'm on AT&T and my friend is on Sprint and she has it in her settings. May 13, 2012When I want to manually set the screen brightness (or change the "mode", called "sk�rmtilstand" in Danish), changes have no effect. The brightness bar is greyed out. Also, I have noticed that turning of "system battery saving" (the first of the two options offered under energy saving in the settings) changes have no effect.
I am running the SII with ICS.

Feb 10, 2015Got the update last week and not enjoying it so far (have yet to do factory reset). My main problem (besides lag) is that my phone keeps going to Mute either when I grab it or whatnot, I'm not sure. I keep on Vibrate and keep it in my shirt pocket typically (at work). It seems that handling my phone I somehow change the speaker modes without knowing it. Is there any way to lock the mode so that it won't change when the phone is locked? I don't mind being able to change the volume of audio output when the screen is off but for it to be able to switch to Mute or On is not something I want.

Oct 19, 2012since i update my phone to ICS 4.0.4 i experience camera issues. When in camera or video mode the screen is black (cant see nothing). But it works. If i take shot it flicker for split of second and shows image taken for that spit of second then goes back to black screen.

before ICS update it was on gingerbread. I tried with KIES but phone developed a fault. It wasn't allowing me to pass "Samsung Galaxy SII" screen. I went to local shop and they sort it out. So i don't know how they did it. Two days later i find that camera is faulty.

I want to get this back to original stock firmware based on the G920i. The only problem is that I cannot get into Download Mode to be able to use Odin. When I connect my device and try to see the media using the music, pictures, or video buttons on the desktop manager it says I need to turn on mass storage mode however when I check the device settings under options/media card/ the settings are as follows:

Mass Storage Mode Support ON
Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected YES
I'm at a loss as to how to make this work as everything I read says the settings are correct.

According to HTC: Note: IfData connection is selected, HTC One automatically disconnects from the mobile network after 15 minutes when the screen is off and the data connection is idle (no download activity, streaming, or data usage). It reconnects and then disconnects periodically when the data connection is idle to save battery power.
Do these affect mobile data, Wifi, or both? Do they affect anything else?
I've left these off because I don't know how they work, and am getting fairly short battery life (10 to 15 hours, depending on use).

Feb 9, 2015I updated my GS5 to Lollipop, I haven't been able to transfer files to or from the phone through USB. When it connects to my computer all it does is charge now, and the computer doesn't recognize the GS5 as a mass storage device, as a phone....nothing. This used to be simple before the update, and as much as I searched through the phones settings and options, I can't find any settings regarding MTP.
