Every time I choose a scene mode and go back to manual mode the settings gets reset. (i.e. focus mode, ISO, metering mode.) It is annoying to set it everytime. Why can't the app remember my settings.

Given the arrogance you (Sony Mobile) are showing towards your customers I am gonna assume you are still not going to listen to your users, and you are not going to reply to this thread, you may even delete it to avoid unnecessary attention to the subject.
After the V2 upgrade taking so long, and still no manual exposure, I find it highly unlikely we will ever get manual exposure settings on the Sony Xperia series. I will sell my Xperia Z5 premium and get myself an LG G4.
When I use manual mode in camera, tripod icon and macro icon doesn't show when i use tripod or shoot a macro object. But the icons show when i use superior auto mode. Did all you have the same behaviour ? or it's just my phone ? My device is Z5 Premium Dual ....
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm positive this has been brought up before, the camera button is only able to load up in auto superior mode which is great for basic quick camera needs but for users who want to use the camera to its full potential (20.7 MP) you need to shoot in manual mode. It seems like a simple addition to the camera which would allow everyone to use the camera app how they prefer. Is there a fix coming for this, is there a setting I'm missing? Seems silly to put a good camera in a phone and have it so inaccessible.

OIS works with Auto Focus
OIS works when we manually set focus to infinity
But OIS doesn't work when Focus is on Manual.
However In Video mode,
OIS works in all 3 cases, i.e. OIS works whether focus is Auto or to infinity or Focus is Manual.
Let us request Nokia to look into this matter and release an update to Nokia Camera app to fix this issue.
My E72 light time out is currently set to 5 seconds, I have tried everything to change this to a longer period, but all i get is a message telling me that it is unable to change, due to power saving mode active.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have used Sony Ericsson phones for years and all my previous phones have had a feature on the camera whereby you could zoom in on a photograph you've taken, and then save the zoomed/close-up image as a seperate photograph.
If this feature exists on the Mini Pro, I certainly can't find it. I took a photo with the camera of something quite far away. The camera will let me zoom in on the bit of the image I want to see, and will allow me to view it, but I want to save the zoomed image. The far-away image is useless to me.
While browsing I have stumbled on two sets of settings, that i can't find any more:
1. battery saving settings...not just "make sure to turn off unused apps". I mean "go to menu options and select..." .
2. internet browsing settings...similar to above, but geared toward browser settings.
A friend is having troubles with his Z3 : He used to take pictures with the quick camera launch button, but since a recent camera or system update, when he use this button, the camera is set to automatic mode instead of manual, with poor resolution and quality settings. If he launches the camera with the standard button from the phone menu, everything is fine and perfectly set up.
When the camera is used from the quick button and set back to the correct quality settings and manual mode, after closing it, it goes back to auto mode with bad settings. Same thing when he slides the camera icon from the locked screen. The only way to get the proper settings when launching the camera is to use the icon from the phone's menu.
He tried a lot of things, from uninstalling the camera updates to searching everywhere on the internet, there is no information or messages about this problem.
I have an unlocked Rogers Wireless LTE Playbook,now when I put a Rogers or Telus Data Sim Card it auto configures the APN settings but when I put a Bell or Koodo Data Sim Card, it picks up 4G or LTE but Data doesn't work. So any have a clue how I can get into APN Settings to see what's going on?

I experimented with these settings, but could not notice any change in any app or screen of the phone.Then I started the navigation app. Within this app (to start to navigate) you're ask to twist and turn the phone to set map rotation. I tried it many times, having the sensor setting set to ON, every time finally a window appears saying that map rotation failed.I wonder if the 2710c-2 has a sensor that can be activated. Does anyone know (for sure)?

I have been using the Situations App (formerly Nokia Situations) to automatically put my phone into offline mode, and power saving mode over night. 9pm to 6:30am.Recently the phone as started refusing to leave the offline mode in the morning. Even if I try to change the profile manually it says "Unable to change profile". The only way I can get out of offline mode is to reboot.I uninstalled Situations, and manually put the phone into offline mode and power saving mode. By the morning I had the same issue, stuck in offline mode until reboot. So it's not the App causing the problem. I've tried a soft reset, same problem still.
I also noticed that over-night (from fully charged before 9pm) to 6:30am I used about 70% of my charge. (A combination of power saving mode and offline mode is killing my battery!)I would have to go to work and immediately put my phone on charge! I.e.. 12 hours of offline + power save has drained my battery almost completely.Last night I decided to use the Situations App to put the phone into offline mode, BUT NOT activate power save mode.This morning the phone had virtually full charge and it had no problem returning to online mode.So it's ONLY if I use BOTH power-save and offline. (Tonight I will try using power-saving mode and NOT offline mode to see if it's only the power-saving mode causing the issue!)If I manually enter offline+power-save mode, and then try to return to on-line/non-power-save mode, relatively quickly, i.e.. Not over-night, everything is fine. It's only over night the problems start!

Next is when you take picture. When u go to photo albums. You see a link below saying open in Nokia camera. How come pics have that link and others don't? I took some smartcam pics too look at later and can't open it up and do the action shots and other stuff.
I manually upgrades my phone to 6.0.1 and since I can't use camera. Tried clearing cache and rebooting. Nothing. Tried other camera apps and those also are not working. Just black screen.

I've setted fingerprints as lock, with a pin (clearly, for backup).
And it happens that when I need to take a photo rapidly, starting by a black screen (in standby so), through dedicated camera button, I can't modify some settings into Camera, just like modality or resolution or whatever, I can only modifiy Flash or Noflash et similia
I don't understand this choice and I don't respect It too
It's simply crazy to let open camera and we can't modify some settings, just because phone's locked ...
It's better to let modify for taking photos as simplier as possibile, because we can't firstly unlock our phone and then press on our camera button
And I don't think It's for security because I don't think that a thief who moves some settings in Camera can do more damns that He could do

I have USCC, but I don't think that's the problem Under Data, there's the HA(A12) user id and password, and its supposed to look like this (from what I've read): XxXxXxXx@uscc.net (x's being the pESN).I set that up and click write, but it instead shows up as XxXxXxXxXxscc.net (x's being my phone number, and yes, it is missing the @u part.) It doesn't matter how many times I write it to the phone, it just doesn't save.
I'm doing the editing with my phone powered on... could that be the issue? All the other settings wrote fine with my phone powered on.
When I press the sweep panorama in camera settings the camera app stops. Every time. I haven't been able to open this setting even once.
