How to use manual mode for pictures and video? Obviously I don't know much about photography. Also, how to take good pictures when the subject is in motion? Auto mode definitely isn't working for that...

1) In Camera Mode:----
OIS works with Auto Focus
OIS works when we manually set focus to infinity
But OIS doesn't work when Focus is on Manual.
However In Video mode,
OIS works in all 3 cases, i.e. OIS works whether focus is Auto or to infinity or Focus is Manual.
Let us request Nokia to look into this matter and release an update to Nokia Camera app to fix this issue.
I'm positive this has been brought up before, the camera button is only able to load up in auto superior mode which is great for basic quick camera needs but for users who want to use the camera to its full potential (20.7 MP) you need to shoot in manual mode. It seems like a simple addition to the camera which would allow everyone to use the camera app how they prefer. Is there a fix coming for this, is there a setting I'm missing? Seems silly to put a good camera in a phone and have it so inaccessible.

My problem is in the video recording mode..when i'm in the middle of recording,the motion in the screen moves slowly for about half a second..and sometimes it stucks before it went back normal and then again stuck...i'm terribly angry when i'm recording the precious moment of my child's first step walking...i'm using the high quality setting and when i used the normal setting,the problem is gone but the picture is not good as the high quality setting.......

I also couldn't turn it off because my lock button is broken.I was advised to restore it.I used the option keep all media. After the restore it asked me if I wanted to backup from the icloud which was last done at 9:30 that morning! However no pictures or video have gone to the camera roll.
Pictures have appeared on photostream so they are ok. But from my understanding Icloud does backup video but just not onto photostream. how to get the videos back.?

Suddenly, out of nowhere, without any obvious reasons, my phone started to enter camera-mode, focusing in and out, and taking pictures.
It does not matter if I use the phone, or it's lying on the table. If I'm using software, or not.
I slept an hour this afternoon, it had taken roughly 50 pictures during 25 minutes, 10 during one random minute, then 1 picture 5 minutes later, so it doesen't seem to be any system behind it.
I've a problem in z2 whenever i use time shift video mode the camera turn much darker than the normal video mode in same light condition .. I tried alot of times but the results are the same....

This problem only occurs when I have the microSD card in the phone because when I take it out and record a video, the video is smooth and does not lag. Sometime I carry with me a tape measure and I lay it along the lenght and/r height of the item just to get a rough measurement of the item's dimension.Is it possible for Nokia to develop a camera with a built-in measuring tape that shows up in the pictures taken? The measuring tape should be able to adjust to the distance between the camera and the object so that the actual dimension of the object is measured accurately. If I take a picture of crawling snake from 20 feet away the picture taken should be able to show the actual lenght of the snake.
