Galaxy S5 :: How To Recover Messages And Contacts From Broken Device
Aug 5, 2015
I have a Galaxy s5 which I bought from Sprint and my screen has turned black and nothing I have tried fixes it. I already bought a new s6 but now I want to recover my messages, contacts, and pictures from my old phone. My s5 is already n usb debugging mode but since it is rooted I have to click allow to use any third party app to recover my files but mt screen has zero functionality. Is there anyway to recover the my contacts and messages at least ?
My phone fell on the floor, and the screen cracked and when I go to use my phone the screen is black and flashes white at me. I cant do anything with it, is there any way to recover my photos? I've tried plugging it in and looking for my photos but it says none can be found. I also have taken the SIM card out already and put it in my new phone, does that make a difference....
I dropped my phone today. It smashed the screen and it slowly became black. I can see a tiny bit at the top and it appears to be receiving messages and notifications but the screen is ruined. Before I hand it in for repair I want to remove all pics from it. How can I do this? I do not have a pinlock on the phone.
I bought a Samsung Galaxy s5 and then I was walking and using it and slipped and it fell out of my hand and the LCD screen cracked, The glass did not and the phone works i can see the LED light and feel the vibrations when I turn it on. I also had external memory that I have already retrieved from the device but i want to get the pictures that are on the Internal memory off. But when i plug the phone up to my computer using the USB cord there is not an option where i can find the pictures.
My brother recently broke my Galaxy S6 Edge; he threw it on the floor but it looks as if someone ran it over. Both the back and the front screen are shattered and it wont turn on. I do have insurance and am being sent a new phone, although I was wondering if there was any way that I could retrieve pictures from my broken phone being that there are no memory cards for the edge. I have not recently backed up my pictures onto Google.
I was trying to make more storage room on my Galaxy S5 & I deleted EVERY folder in the device history. I really don't care about anything but my pictures...they are all gone! can I somehow recover all my pictures!!! I am new to Android devices & now I can't quit crying....
I broke the screen on my S5 and my provider was able to get me a new phone however since my screen is broken - completely black (broken LCD) they were unable to transfer contacts, pictures, data, etc...
I am trying to back up the S5 to my PC but the software that I have been finding all needs some sort of authorization on the phone - which I am unable to do.
I have reseted my samsung 6 edge, and deleted all information. not able to recover google or samsung account. is there any chance to return back all information with fingerprint, as i have used only mine on this device.
I accidentally deleted whole conversation of text messages instead of 2 specific messages. How do I recover my deleted messages? They were not backed up by cloud. Will the SIM card support?
I have been traveling for 8 weeks and have hundreds of photos and videos on my s5 internal memory. Unfortunately I went swimming with my phone. I plan on buying another s5. Is there any way of transferring the internal memory module to a new phone and hoping that it's not also water damaged? I really want the photos from my trip. I am confident repairing phones.
My screen is broken on my Samsung5, completely black. The phone works but I cannot see anything. I thought my contacts where synced to my gmail account but they are not there!! Can I import my contacts from my phone via computer if I cannot see the screen?
I laid phone down today on a table. when I came back it would not recognize my fingerprint and I could not remember my code for when that happens. I usually write them down but forgot this time. so I did a hard reset of the phone and now I cant go any further in setting up phone. I put in my email address I used and it tells me to use an email account from which the phone had been synced before.i always use the same email but it still tells me that message had to change passwords etc to get into account but it still wont let me set up my phone..
Last night, my daughter accidentally put my samsung Galaxy S6 restore the factory settings when I was taking a bath. All my data is gone, how can I do, especially the contacts, I need to recover accidentally deleted these important contacts.
The port on my iphone 5s recently broke. I haven't backed my phone up in weeks and since I can no longer plug my phone into my laptop, I'm not sure how I can retrieve my photos, notes, etc. that were placed on my phone after the last time it was backed up. I have no clue how to recover my info since my phone no longer works. I know my phone has a sim card but I've never manually saved anything to it so I guess my second question is does my phone automatically save info on the sim card and if so, what type of info does it save on it?
Does any one know how can I recover the pics from an old phone that its broken in half? Its a Samsung SGH-T509 and it wont turn on. Does it have like an internal memory or something I can use?
My sister uses an Android phone but when she receives a message from our sister-in-law who has an iPhone, it arrives broken down into multiple shorter messages. Apparently the same thing happened when our late brother would send a message to my sister from his iPhone. I don't use text messaging (in fact I have it totally disabled on my iPhone), so I've never experienced this.as to why this happens? My sister says it doesn't happen with messages sent from non-iOS phones.
Same old song - I accidently deleted text messages from my Sprint Samsung Galaxy s5. I see a post from 2011 saying this cannot be done with Sprint. Now in 2015 has anything changed? I'm waiting on hold forever with Sprint, got disconnected, now on hold again.
I just bought Samsung Galaxy S6 today replacing my just one month old LG G4. One funny thing about restoring contacts after device factory reset on the S6 is that the contacts restored are not from my my G4 it's from my older device, LG G2. So I lost some contacts which I added during my short ownership of my G4. My Android Device Manager shows that I have G4 on my device list, but when I tried to recover the contacts the S6 notifies me that I last updated 6 months ago... That cannot be right... As I just back up all my google account contacts just before I wipe my G4.
I need a hard copy of my contacts, or at least an electronic copy that i can access. I am preparing to turn in my phone and don't want to lose my data.
The screen of my Samsung S5 has stopped working but the phone powers up but the screen is blank. Is there any way i can get my contacts off the phone? I have tried to connect it to a computer but its not recognizing it.
I just got a brand new N900. I wonder whether wifi is broken - I cannot see any access points when I click on "Internet Connections". (There are about 5-10 in my neighbourhood and I have my own wireless router.) Also, if I go to "Setting" -> "Connectivity" -> "Internet Connections" and then try to setup a new connection and scan for "available wi-fi networks" it doesn't find any. Even if I enter the setting by "hand" (i.e., my SSID etc.) I cannot connect, nor does it show the connection as available.Does anyone have an idea how I can find out whether that's a hardware problem?
I have xperia z2 with broken screen but still and functions well when connected to pc .... I really need a way to get my contacts out of the phone how is it possible?? or in what folder would i find the contacts savedĀ ....
