View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone fell on the floor, and the screen cracked and when I go to use my phone the screen is black and flashes white at me. I cant do anything with it, is there any way to recover my photos? I've tried plugging it in and looking for my photos but it says none can be found. I also have taken the SIM card out already and put it in my new phone, does that make a difference....

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy brother recently broke my Galaxy S6 Edge; he threw it on the floor but it looks as if someone ran it over. Both the back and the front screen are shattered and it wont turn on. I do have insurance and am being sent a new phone, although I was wondering if there was any way that I could retrieve pictures from my broken phone being that there are no memory cards for the edge. I have not recently backed up my pictures onto Google.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently installed OS 5.0.0.442 which was posted on the very first thread of the forum. I haven't had any issues with it until recently.
When I try a soft reset, I get the red indicator light as usual, but instead of resetting, I get a message on my screen that says something along the lines of "Media card installed. All media will be copied onto the device." After this dialog box goes away, the device does NOT reset. Any ideas on why the soft reset no longer works?
I was trying to make more storage room on my Galaxy S5 & I deleted EVERY folder in the device history. I really don't care about anything but my pictures...they are all gone! can I somehow recover all my pictures!!! I am new to Android devices & now I can't quit crying....

This is an employer-provided phone, so I cannot root it.
I have been traveling for 8 weeks and have hundreds of photos and videos on my s5 internal memory. Unfortunately I went swimming with my phone. I plan on buying another s5. Is there any way of transferring the internal memory module to a new phone and hoping that it's not also water damaged? I really want the photos from my trip. I am confident repairing phones.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI dropped my phone and cracked the screen and now the screen is all black. I went through insurance and received my new phone. I've deactivated the old phone and activated my new phone. I've been reading other responses for a similar problem but it seems like most of them have not activated the new phone yet and were able to wipe the phone using the Android Device Manager. Since I've already activated my new phone, if I use ADM it finds my new phone and not my old phone.
Is there a way to wipe the data off of the old phone with a broken screen after I've already activated my new phone?
My screen on my SGS2 is shattered. Before I have it fixed, I'd like to backup everything via Kies (I haven't backed up in a while before my phone fell). My phone goes on when switched on, the soft buttons light up like usual - I'm taking this as signs of normal functioning. But I simply cannot seem to get my phone to talk to Kies via USB connection through my PC. Also, am I right in assuming that the 'touch' on the screen wont work if its cracked?
Is there any way I can backup my phone before I send it in to be repaired?
The port on my iphone 5s recently broke. I haven't backed my phone up in weeks and since I can no longer plug my phone into my laptop, I'm not sure how I can retrieve my photos, notes, etc. that were placed on my phone after the last time it was backed up. I have no clue how to recover my info since my phone no longer works. I know my phone has a sim card but I've never manually saved anything to it so I guess my second question is does my phone automatically save info on the sim card and if so, what type of info does it save on it?

I am trying to back up the S5 to my PC but the software that I have been finding all needs some sort of authorization on the phone - which I am unable to do.
Is there anyway that I can save all of my data?
When I turn my Samsung Galaxy S5 Verizon phone on there is blackness all over the lock screen, where the numbers are is completely blacked out. There is no way for me to enter my password. I want to connect it to my windows PC via USB cable to backup contacts/text messages/emails/documents I've created/photographs. My verizon cloud is full so there are some things on the phone that I need to backup. It seems like every software I have tried needs you to enter the phone password first and enable USB debugging mode. I cannot do this because the screen is so blacked out I cannot see any of the numbers, the OK button, or the delete button.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI ended up breaking the LCD screen on my S5 a few days ago and now that a replacement is on its way, I would like to retrieve the pictures off of the internal memory. However, when I plug my device into the computer (still turns on and works, just no display) it says no files are on the phone. I'm used to this because I've always had to unlock the phone itself in order to get into the memory on a computer. I can't enter the code since the screen is broken and not taking input as far as I can tell. So. Am I just out of luck here? Or is there another way to access this photos? Which if not it is no big deal since there weren't any IMPORTANT images on there.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy beloved Galaxy S2 is currently with T-mobile for assessment as a result of a broken screen (under the glass) and the view of the shop was that as it was a broken screen it was automatically my fault.I am at a loss as to how they can know this without even seeing the phone. Hence why I was unprepared to pre-authorise a repair without knowing the cost first.I have no issue with paying if it is my fault (like I did when I put a phone through the washing machine or when I dropped one on a sharp stone and shattered the screen or when I left one on the car roof and drove off only to see it bounce in the rear view mirror!) but this time it was very different as the screen went black as if power had gone and it needed to be switched back on - i initially thought it was a power fault. The next day I discovered a crack in the screen.

View 2 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know of how I would possibly be able to retrieve photos from my Samsung Galaxy S2 that has a non-fuctioning screen? The rest of the phone works - it charges, turns on (the 4 buttons light up as well as the light on the top) and the speakers for the ringtones and alerts works as well. I am desperate to get the pictures and am seeking all advice possible.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy puppy cracked the glass on my Galaxy S5. There are some very impt pictures from construction damages to my home. When the glass was fixed the phone was given to me without my password and then I noticed it had been wiped.
It had been at a previous store for some time while they waited on the screen and then went to another place where it was replaced overnight. Both places are claiming they did not wipe my phone. Now I have a blank phone with no proof of thousands of dollars worth of damages. It was not backed up on google.
Device is BB9000 Installed latest BB Desktop Manager and Roxio for managing image files Initially I had 5 pictures loaded into the BB9000 and could see them just fine in Media, Pictures, All Pictures I then took 2 pictures with the BB9000 Camera and saved them. They showed up just fine in Media, Pictures, All Pictures I then used Roxio, launched from the BB Desktop Manager to delete these 2 pictures from the BB9000 and all appeared to be fine as Roxio showed the 5 original images as present in the Home, User, Picture folder When I disconnected the BB9000 and accessed Media, Pictures, All Pictures, there are now 5 images and 2 broken icon thumbnails. Next I enabled Mass Media from Home, Options, Memory I then connected the BB9000 via USB (not running BB Desktop Manager at this point) and opened up the drive (in my case G:) in explorer. I can clearly see the 5 original images in the folder and each one can be opened using explorer. Next I disconnected the USB cable and this time there are 4 broken image icons in Media, Pictures, All Pictures while the original 5 images are still all there. One image has also been duplicated (called trail.jpg) and if I delete one using the BB9000, likely both will disappear but for now, have not done anything. If I select one of the broken image icons in Media, Pictures, All Pictures and select Delete, a prompt comes up "The selected file is read only. Are you sure you wish to delete it?". Selecting Yes does nothing. The image remains as a broken image icon. How is this corrected?
