View 2 RepliesLast night a contact in my phone was set to one photo. The next day the photo had been changed to a completely different photo on it's own.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use gmail for my contacts. I noticed when I got my new S5 and logged into gmail some of my contacts had photos and some did not. When I went into edit contact on my desktop there was a photo that I had put in there before.
I checked to make sure that my phone was using my gmail acount for my contacts and it is.
If I set a Contact Photo for myself, does it show up for other people?
View 1 Replies View RelatedHow do I stop my contact photos appearing in Gallery on SGSII/Android 2.3.3? I know from various sites that you can add a ".NoMedia" file to any folder and it will apparently prevent it from displaying in Gallery, but I can't find the actual folder location in My Files where the contact photos are stored, so that I can put this file there - and I can't find this info on ANY web sites. Is the .nomedia thing the only way to stop this? Also, is it possible to uninstall / remove access to Gallery if I install another photo/video manager app?

I have them all backed up to Google Photos and don't need them also on my phone.
I read that if I remove my original pictures from my S6, all those pictures will be removed from my google photos as I am interacting with the cloud--instead of just my android phone. But I need to clear up some space on my 64gb phone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am looking for a safe, reliable app for storing/backup of gallery, contacts, etc for contents of my HTC One M7.I've tried HTC Sync Manager but it allowed me to backup my gallery only.I recently did an oopsey & did a factory reset & list even rything.safe reliable app I can access via PC & cell for storing/backup for photos, contacts, files, etc. My OS on my PC is Windows 8.
Looked on Google Play Store but unsure which app is good option.
Lately, for some reason, when I assign a contact a high rez photo, it reverts back to low rez after about a week.
I have assigned a contact a photo from my gallery.... It works fine.... Then about a week later.... it goes low rez...
I have even gone to my google contacts and added the high rez photo there.... It then works fine for a few weeks.... Then back to the low rez..
I've had the phone about a month and suddenly some of my contact photos no longer appear. I have my phone sync'd to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google contacts.
Everything was working fine, contact photos would appear next to each person in the messaging app, when they called, and in the regular contacts app just fine.
About a week ago, the contact photos for the people I call/text most frequently have disappeared. This only applies to Facebook contact photos, as all other contact photos still display fine.
So far, I've:
- Checked Facebook settings and all contacts are syncing. I even went so far as to remove Facebook and reinstall. Everything syncs fine, but then after an hour the same contact photos disappear again. This doesn't apply to all of them, just some.
- Edited the contacts and linked/unlinked from Facebook. Doesn't make a difference. I found in the contacts where to select the photo source (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and even in that setting it looks like the person has no Facebook photo, but they do.
I recently updated to lollipop, and i have been trying to update some of my contacts photos, but the message "Can not open, please try again" keeps popping up.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have the international SM-G920I version of the S6, running the latest 5.1.1 update.Recently, it has started giving me issues in the Google Photos app. I am unable to back up any photos. When I go open the app and go to the Assistant tab, it always shows "Backing up 1 item out of XX".
When I go to the "Backup & Sync" settings of the app, I get constant toast notifications saying "Backing up 1 out of XX". I factory reset my phone and tried again, however the issue persists. I am able to upload photos onto Google Photos using my computer, so it does not seem to be an issue in my Google account.
My htc one m9 was stolen from me last evening. My question is, can I access my contact list, photos etc on line in someway? When I had the phone in June, I signed up for google drive, various things with htc etc...I've logged into Google drive but I can't seem to see anything related to my htc.
View 3 Replies View Relatedwhere applicable, for my contacts photo's I have selected to display the profile picture from Facebook. Now, for some of my contacts it just displays a grey head and shoulders, even though their Facebook account is still linked. However, if I change their contact photo to their Twitter Profile, this is displayed fine.

Back in the day and even when you see people using iPhones on television or in movies; the photos that come up for your contacts are big, recognizable from a distance.
This seems to have never been the case since I joined the iPhone family during the release of iOS4. Is there something I can do to create/restore that functionality or are we stuck with tiny pictures in the corner?
Today my iphone got frozen. I turned it off and then turned it on. Now I found out that my contact address book on the iphone mixed the photos among my contacts. Let say, John now has Peter's photo and Peter as john's photo. This happened with several contact photos, however the contact information like email, phone and address are correct. I checked the icloud.com and my macbook pro, the photos didn't get mixed. So this just happened in my iphone. I have turn on and off the iphone several times but the problem still the same.
Info:
iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1
It seems sporadic. Some of my contacts have the high res photos but most don't have them.

How do i transfere photos, contact etc from xperia x8 to iphone4s?

iTunes syncs contact info from the iPhone to Outlook, but it will not input the contact photos which are visible on the phone into the persons contact information. They just show up as a white square. If I open the contact it acts as if it's not there and gives me the option to add a photo.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just noticed today that I have no more pictures (from facebook friends) in my phone contacts. This past weekend I had downloaded app "handcent".I don't kbnow if it's because of that app that the photos are no longer appearing. In any event I deleted the app. and still have no photos. I contacted T-Mobile and after several trys to syncronize, even deleteing factory settings I still don't have any contact photos.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI have a blackberry and an iPod that both sync contact photos with my Exchange 2010 server.
I just got an android and everything works except my contacts do not have photos.
Is a new version of the OS going to fix that issue or is the only solution for the forseable future a 3rd part app to sync the contact photos? I'm not talking about gmail, facebook or a USB sync
I am talking about a wireless over the air contact sync's with my Outlook 2010 through an Exchange 2010 server.
I have a couple pictures in my camera roll that I'm assigning to contacts but every time I sync my phone, they revert back to older pictures.
What do I have to do to make them stick?
I successfully upgraded to DM6 recently. Frankly I use DM only to sync contacts, because I need to sync three Outlook contact folders, and the wireless sync will sync no more than one contact folder.
After the first sync, for some of my contacts, their photo had disappeared - but only in Outlook, they're still there in the handheld's address book.I've tried to deduct why some photos get deleted and most not, but can't see any logic. Apparently the handheld reports (falsely) that there is no picture for that contact, causing Outlook to delete it. I am afraid that the next sync will make those photos disappear from the handheld, too.
I've searched on a number of forums but didn't find anything on this bug. I hope someone can help me out to fix this. Of course I do have backups of the contact folders, but I need to make sure that after laboriously repairing the affected contacts, the photos will not disappear again at sync.Dell Precision 380 running Win7 with Outlook 2k7 connected to Exchange 2k7 and a BES. The handheld is a Bold 9700 with firmware v5.0.0.545. The DM syncs over USB.
