Galaxy S5 :: Cannot Add Events To Primary Google Calendar But Events From Calendar Appear On Phone?
Dec 2, 2014I just switched from the default Samsung calendar app to the Google Calendar app. Events from my primary Google calendar, "Personal", appear on the Google Calendar app on my S5, but the calendar itself doesn't appear as an option when creating new events or in the Settings page. As a result, I can see all of my events that I enter via my PC browser (correctly under the label "Personal"), but I cannot add new events from my phone to that specific calendar. My other, less frequently used Gmail calendars (Birthdays, work, a few shared calendars) appear.

Dec 7, 2015I want to add two Google accounts in my Google calendar at the same time in my phone. But the phone only show one. I can see all the Hotmail accounts so I don't understand why not Google work in the same way. When I look in Google mailbox I can see both accounts.

Nov 7, 2014I recently upgraded from the HTC EVO LTE to the Samsung S5. One widget I loved on my EVO was a Google Calendar widget. It was 4x1 and just showed the next event coming up on my calendar right on my home screen. While I have downloaded the Google Calendar app from the Play Store, I still don't have that widget. Not from the Google Calendar app nor the built in Samsung app. I just have a 2x3 one, 4x2 and 4x4. Which widget I'm referring to and how to get it? Or even if I could just get it to show up on my lockscreen but nowhere else, that would be fine!

Sep 24, 2015I've posted this problem earlier. My Birthdays in my Contacts, do not carry over to Google Calendar. I don't have access to a laptop to go on the Web, to use the web version of Google calendar. All advice has mentioned Gmail. I don't use Gmail for email. It's not loaded as an app, but I used to use it. Is that the reason why contact birthdays don't show on Google Calendar? I have added birthdays as a recurring event, but it annoys me that it doesn't work.

Feb 6, 2015I started google calendar notifications to my email before I had a smart phone.... on my old Galaxy S4 I didn't have this problem. I have my default set up to send email (was supposed to be only to my computer) days before and hours before as a reminder. Now that I have my GS5 phone and have sync'd it with my calendar I get double notifications for some things and I cant get it to turn off. I dont want to turn off all my notifications? I turned off my email notifications on my phone but that doesn't stop me from getting double Notifications Texts and sound?

Dec 29, 2015It's been about 4 years since I had an Android phone (back from the dark side) and I am getting our shared calendar setup.
My Windows Google calendar to my wife's Windows Google calendar is fine, syncs within 20-30 seconds. Seems like the sync to her Note5 and my S6 is so slow that to be sure we are getting the calendar updates we have to go in and manually sync the Google account on each phone. This process takes a good 5 mins and is not ideal to be doing it all day long to ensure we have the latest events.
Is there something I can check/change to get the sync to happen a bit more automatically/frequently on the phones?

Oct 10, 2015Today the native calendar (green one) on my Galaxy S5 stopped syncing with my Google calendar. When I checked the settings there were no calendars listed. When I try to add a calendar, the app crashes. In addition to that, all the appointments on my phone have been deleted. The calendar is version 1.0.
It also will not sync to Outlook, which it had done previously.

I'm using the Google Calendar app (not the built in Samsung calendar app). I create all of my Google Calendar events on my laptop. The Google Calendar app on my S5 displays the events just fine.
In the Google Calendar app on my S5, I go to the Settings menu, I select my calendar from the Settings menu, and the "notifications" section says "1 hour before as SMS".
Also, in the phone's settings, I go to "Application manager", select "Calendar", and the "Show notifications" box is checked.
The problem is that I never get notifications for calendar events. (I expect that they would show up in the notification drawer, but I have never seen a Google Calendar notification there.)

Jan 11, 2015I like the Samsung calendar app but installed Google calendar as well and synced them so that if I lost my phone, all of my calendar data would still be on the desktop site through Google. It worked when I first installed it months ago. I just signed on and noticed that nothing but birthdays are on the desktop site but everything that I've entered into the Samsung mobile app IS on the Google calendar app on my S5. I've tried syncing everything through both mobile apps and the desktop, as well as followed the instructions through Google's calendar desktop site.

Dec 11, 2015I have the Verizon S5 SM-G900V running 5.0, I use OK google to set up things like the days I work, Where I'm working, Who I'm working for, Dr. Appointments etc. Well when setting up these things using OK google voice command it automatically defaults to reminding only 15 minutes before the event. I need a full day notice so if someone asks me a day before hand if I'm available the next day I'll already know. Instead as it is right now if I forget I have Dr appointment it only gives 15 minutes notice and with my Dr being 45 min drive away this is just not sufficient. (MORE DETAIL) I am in fact using the google calendar on my phone and not the samsung calendar.
I have went to google calendar on my laptop clicked on the gear and went to calendar settings and changed that to default 1 day for both settings listed there and saved. I know this won't change past submissions but it didn't default to 1 day on new submissions on OK google. I even manually synced the calendar and tried again. The old phone I had (LG Exceed 2) allowed me to set a setting in the calendar settings to default events to remind 1 day in advance. But no matter where I go in the S5 (google settings,calendar settings, OK google settings) Or even web calendar settings I can't find a way to make it work?? This is a big nuisance for me to have to manually change it every time.

Apr 10, 2015I use both the Gmail inbox widget, which let's me preview and scroll through current mail without opening the Gmail app, and the Google Calendar widget which allows me to preview my calendar in agenda mode.
Both widgets have extreme lag in scrolling. Calendar has lag and sync/updating issues.
It was like this on my Edge (exchanged for regular S6) and on my new S6.

Jun 3, 2014I recently traveled overseas and had all my calendar items show on my iPhone as in the new locations time (ie, they moved X hours so wrong, but consistent). So the Appointments stayed in my home time zone, they just showed in the equivalent time period on the iPhone calendar.Â
When I returned home, my Calendar on my MacBook reverted to normal (ie, all appointments went to the correct, original time) but the iOS Calendar has somehow locked into the other time zone that I visited for a week or so. How can I get all the appointments on my iPhone to show correctly without changing or losing any of them.

Jul 27, 2015I finally found a S6 with good button and display, but I think I have again bad luck: from time to time, camera is failing and is not related to low power because I encounter the issue at 80% battery level.
I tried factory reset, clear cache and data, and it comes back. But always, the camera is working after pressing Clear all in Smart Manager. If I simply kill the processes using the standard task manager, the camera shows the same error.
if it's an hardware problem, as I read online, why works after clean all operation? I have stock ROM, without root or special app(just fb, dropbox installed)
