View 8 RepliesI've had my Nokia E5-00 since 11/25 and it's been giving me hell this past week. I don't know if it's coincidence or not, but I tried changing the lock code so I could lock my phone, and right as I entered the default 12345 and then it asked me for a new code, I put in the new code and it restarted. I figured it was just the phone updating itself. Then, the phone began restarting randomly, and sometimes it restarts multiple times before it stays put for an hour or two... Only to start the process all over again.When it restarts, the Nokia logo doesn't have the holding-hands thing. The screen turns white, sometimes the Nokia in blue letters appears, but never the hand-holding.I know some people have had this problem with the E5-00 and I'm wondering what I can do. I tried updating the software - twice - and no dice.

Initially the phone used to abruptly hang and would require the battery to be taken out & reinserted to start the phone. After the Firmware update the problem got reduced but now the phone hangs and automatically restarts. This is quite frequent & very irritating. I have tried the hard & soft reset but the problem still remains the same. The firmware that i am using is 054.005 / make - Malaysia.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have E7 with symbian anna. A while ago I had to restart my home wifi (due to storm) and during that process a new wifi access point (wlan(01) was created on my phone. After that - as far as I have now understood - my phone stopped syncronising gmails altogether. Also in my provider's network (outside wifi, elisa). In order for my phone to sync emails, i need to reboot it (or just turn it off and on, no need to get the three vibrations when turning off).
Question 1) How do I delete this unncecssary wifi access point on E7? I was able to do it easily on my N900 but not on this E7.
Question 2) Is it likely that the reason my phone stopped syncin gmails is related to this wifi issue? Pressing send & receive won't help, either, nothing happens. I have had this E7 for 1.5 months now, Symbian Anna I've had for 10 days and this problem started 5 days ago. Before that the mails flew in very nicely.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have bought a new E63 recently. The issue is my E63 restarts automatically while using it for surfing the internet on the PC or using nokia's Internet radio. I have activated the GPRS service from IDEA and i am using it on the mobile phone as well as on the PC. But my mobile phone restarts after 5-10 minutes while using the internet connected through the mobile phone on PC. I am facing this problem all the times whether i connect through the data cable or through the bluetooth. My friend is also facing the same problem as he is also having the same Handset. i have also visited to Nokia service center ..They formated two times...and whether i use memory card or not...the problem still persist.....The phone gives me very high downloading speed 20kBs to 30 kBS .....but restarts after 5-10 mins. ...i think internal modem overheats....or some bug in firm ware...( i have latest updated firmware (500.21.009. 02-06-2010 RM-437 )

Not having access to the screen is a problem for two reasons: 1. I don't know who is calling me (as the screen is dark) 2. I installed Nokia EMail Service at my E63 phone. I'm using WiFi to connect to mail server. I expect the following behavior: each 5 minutes (as defined in Settings) this Service should activate WiFi connection, connect to server, get new mail (if any), disconnect from server and (!) deactivate WiFi connection. However, I see that WiFi icon is shown on my main screen instantly - so the WiFi connection is always On and the phone is consuming the battery heavily.

Unfortunately, Nokia PC Internet Access says it could not find a Nokia device connected to the PC. (**bleep**, you were installed from it, right now.) If I reconnect E52 to the PC, Nokia PC Internet Access has a completely black window. It pops up another window "Updating..." saying "Installer has found some installed components which are older than those in device's memory. There components will be updated." The progress bar remains at 0% and nothing happens. Cannot even cancel the installation.

Remote SIM access is enabled from E7 bluetooth settings. It is very annoying to see just the number for incoming phone calls, nor can you browse address book and make phone calls with car's built-in system.
