I really like using the internet radio feature on my phone using the wifi that is in our home. The only problem is every time I want to use it, I have to enter our password (that is a very long, random string of numbers and letters). Is it possible to save that password somewhere so I don't have to enter it each time I want to use internet radio?

The network is now listed as a known WiFi and for that reason it does not ask the password again. Yet, the password is wrong and the browser fails connecting every time. Never-the-less there appears no opportunity to re-enter the WiFi LAN password.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I got my Verizon m8 today and went through the setup process. Everything seemed to be going well until I restarted the phone. Upon reboot I noticed I was no longer connected to wifi. I connected again and rebooted again. Same thing. I've tried everything I can think of, including a hard reset, and still it refuses to remember my wifi password?
OK, just found out that it's related to password length. My wifi password is 63 characters in length. As a test, I reduced it to 9 characters and it then remembered it after reboot. How long it can be and continue to work?

I have saved accesspoint with saved password.Password on this AP was changed and now when I'm trying to connect from my Nokia E6 I receive 'Check password'.But I didn't find any place where I could change password.In Settings-Connectivity-WLAN I see only information about APs. I expect the following behavior: each 5 minutes (as defined in Settings) this Service should activate WiFi connection, connect to server, get new mail (if any), disconnect from server and (!) deactivate WiFi connection. However, I see that WiFi icon is shown on my main screen instantly - so the WiFi connection is always On and the phone is consuming the battery heavily.

When I go to settings -> connectivity and then select wifi, it searches connection for a while and then shows that none are found. Meanwhile, my old Nokia E72 remains connected to my home wifi without any problem... I am really surprised and disappointed. Also when I try to set up the connection manually, it doesn't work at all.I can't believe that such a device is being sold, a wifi connection is something extremely necessary nowadays in a smartphone. View 5 Replies View RelatedI've looked around on the net but have not been able to find a solution to this problem.Using an N8 (on Nokia Belle), the WLAN settings does not seem to provide any place to specify the username and password for a proxy based network (Note:this is not the pre-shared key for the WLAN, but the username and password asked by the proxy server). When the browser is used, it prompts for the username and password and then works. However other applications cannot connect to this network as they seemingly lack this feature and the phone does not make this globally available.Nokia Configuration Tool (NCT) 6.3 seems to allow placement of username and password values. When configuration is transferred back to phone, NCT shows successfully configured, but this does not seem to be the case when the settings are used by the phone.

But since it kept draining the battery, I deleted it by highlighting the application and pressing the delete button.It was successful in removing the application but then unfortunately the wifi icon on the top is always on.Does this mean my wifi is always on? Or that icon which looks like "four squares" (vaguely similar to the windows logo, loosley speaking) stands for something else?

"browser unable to connect to website"
I dont understand what is happening. I tried resetting the router and the phone and nothing works. My nokia 5530 works on it without a problem and my friends use other devices on it without a problem (tablet, cell, laptops)

Now I have problems:
1. connecting to WIFI, my phone finds my wifi network, I can connect to it, but soon the connection is lost and when I try to connect again - it finds the same network - market as unknown, (it does not remember the wepkey,
2. browsing the internet - problem because loosing connection to wifi network.
3. setting gmail only through wifi - I can set it up, when trying to download any mails, I get a notice- mobile connection is unavailable, but I cannot set it to connect via wifi - as I had it set with Anna.
4. connection settings for phone and apps - I have less settings, cannot set it as I could with Anna.

The Wi-Fi has a username and password and even if they are entered correctly, the Wi-Fi doesnt connect through. Is there some restriction for NOkias to connect to such Wi-Fi's ?
