I just reset the settings of my phone thinking there could've been a virus or something but I can't delete several messages that appears but got no info at all. I can't read it neither delete it.
View 5 RepliesLike all users of N97 I have a serious problem with the phone memory (C) being full To correct it, I have been using for quite some time (more than 6 months) the E: memory for messages and emails. However, every now and then, without any reason, I get the message that the phone is unable to use the selected memory (E) and it goes back to C. The problems are multiple:
1. It doesn't let me choose the memory I'd like to use, when this appears, and it does this when a new message comes, which is directly stored in C - no options given.
2. Following this, half the messages are stored in one memory and half in the other and (of course) they cannot be moved from the one to the other.........
How can i save 999nos om msgs stored in my nokia 5800xm to my pc or phone memory card?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using nokia 5800 model. In that two messages got failed while sending and stored in Outbox. I tried to delete those two messages. But the status of those two msgs has been changed to 'Deferred' and are not getting deleted. I restarted the mobile, but again its there in the Outbox. I tried PC Suite to delete those messages. But those messages are not getting listed in the PC Suite. Kindly Suggest some solution for this problem

View 1 Replies View RelatedI lost all my Text Messages eventhough I did a backup and restore using Content Copier. What I did was:
1) Backup my n95 using Content Copier (backup log is shown down below)
2) upgraded my n95 to the latest firmware and it was a success
after the upgrade it deleted all my Text Messages
3) Restore using Content Copier: Contacts, Calendars, etc. were restored except none was restored on any of my Text Messages folders (Inbox, Sent, etc.) are all empty.
What did I do wrong given the log even stated I can transfer the Text Messages to another phone?

Following content can be copied to other device models:

I did try to restore using Device Memory, Memory Card, Device & Memory Card but still none of my Text Message have been restored. My Content Copier software version is v6.82.15
I used to store all texts in memory card. Yesterday as usual I tried to open the msg frm my frnd and suddenly the phone freezed. I had to remove the battery and put it back to make phone working, but then I was shocked to see that inbox was empty! I'm confused as what would've been wrong. I had around 5000+ texts. Is that a reason or could it be a virus?

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy E71 has died a slow and painful death.Now I've read elsewhere on this forum that the E71 does not support charging via the onboard USB port however:
- My E71 is absolutely dead flat out of battery;
- My E71 is refusing to charge due to some inherant damage to both power charger and charging circuit (because it still won't charge on my Husband's charger);
- I have some very important information stored on the phone memory (not SD card) that I need to access and have no real way of doing so; and
- I have recently done a backup of the phone, but won't allow me to access the file without the phone connected.
I had a N73 before,and I save my messages to my computer. Now they are VMG Files. But when I copy them to my new Nokia C7,and try to open file, appears a message "unknown file format". Is there any way to copy my old messages to C7,and how? I don't know actually where messages are keeped (in which directory) in my C7 phone?

After update all messages are erased and she had important information there. I read in trouble shooting, that:: What should I do if the automatic restore of my phones content doesnâ work after I did the update to Nokia Belle and I dont see my contacts, calendar, bookmarks, etc.?A: The backup of your phone content is stored under C:Users[username]DocumentsNokia SuiteBackups and includes "Nokia_Belle_Update" in the filename. I installed Ovi Suite on Mac and downloaded extra support for C7, but I couldn't restore that information. She never installed Ovi Suite on her PC. My question is: is she installs Ovi Suite for PC on her laptop, will she be able to restore old messages? I recently switched to Belle as well on my Nokia N8, but I'm not that crazy about old messages, so I haven't noticed it. I am not able to send Group messages from Nokia C7.I am sending messages to a distribution list having 70 members in it, only 20 messages are going fine and the remaining 50 stuck in the inbox saying Failed or Resend at XX:XX.Then i usually try to click on each message in the out box and send them again. [i dont know why there is no mark all option in outbox ] But from 3 days eventhough i am trying to send the 50messages again it is just saying Resend at XX:XX.
1) I tried sending the messaged from OVI suite but no luck
2) With help of vodafone customer care i verified all my message settings, message center number and everything are fine. (if they are wrong the first 20 should also stuck na..)
3) I thought it was a n/w problem i called to vodafone Customer care and they asked me try in another phone.
4) I have taken my old nokia 5310 Xpress music inserted the same sim and sent the 70 messages, they all went very fine.
After 08.63ď firmware update for my Nokia C3 phone, there are invisible messages in my inbox, sent folder that I can't view or delete. I get something like "Error occurred. Deletion not completed".

View 2 Replies View RelatedSuddenly today after deleting a handful of messages out of one mailbox it suddenly says that mailbox has 4294967295 messages. There is nothing in the mailbox. If I send mail to it, the count changes to 1 until I delete that message then it goes back to 4294967295. I have deleted the account and recreated it but that didn't fix it.

I am about 12-13 months in to an 18 month contract with 3. My W595 has recently started to play up. It is a random occurrence so I cannot just take it in to a shop and show what is happening and going wrong. I have over 290 contacts and details in my phone. Sometimes when I reach for my phone and press the down button to get to my contacts there is nothing there apart from New Contact and My Numbers. All of the contacts have disappeared. Not only do the contacts disappear but so do all the stored text messages that I want to keep a bit longer before deleting. Fortunately I meticulously back my phone up using PC Suite so at least I can get them back again, but that in it self has it's problems, which I will explain further down. My contacts are stored in the phone memory, (there too many to store on the SIM). All other data, such as the calender, photos and notes remain intact and OK, I can only surmise that this data is stored away from the phone memory on the SD card so it cannot "disappear" in the same way.
I have reported this to 3 tech support but all they do is get me to check for updates to the phone software, (which happens to be current anyway). I just reinstall using the update facility and be done with it. The crazy thing is that because my confidence level is so low at the moment, I have to cart my laptop with me when I go away for wekends, just in case I lose everything again. The phone and the laptop have to be kept together for obvious reasons. The problem was reported to 3 well before the 12 month warranty ran out so any more reported problems that are connected will be covered in the event of a claim being made. They won't send a replacement phone whilst my own phone is away for analysis. I cannot do without the phone and the contents.
I have made my mind up to leave 3 at the end of the contract and I do not want another Sony Ericsson phone - I want to go back to Nokia, I never had any trouble with them. At the moment, I just feel as though I am limping with this W595 to the end of a painful 18 months. Has, or is anyone else experiencing similar problems with their W595? PC Suite Problem. My main problem with PC Suite when used in conjunction with my Sony Ericsson W595 phone is that there is no facility to produce a hard copy or print of the contacts list. I will need to do this when I change phones at the end of my contract to make it easier to input them into the new phone, (which hopefully will be a Nokia!). The only method that I have found is to do a "Print Screen" or a Screen Capture. Of course this has to be done several times to be able to cover nearly 300 contacts and all their input details.
How to mark and delete multiple messages on a Nokia C3-01. I just find it difficult to delete messages one by one.

I do have all the service books since I restored my backup from my previous phone to this one. View 1 Replies View RelatedWhenenever I plug my phone in to my laptop to charge, the folders I created on the phone are immediately emptied. To be clear, the programs stille exist on the phone. It's just that the folders get emptied of nearly all of their contents.
It happens as soon as I plug the phone into the computer with the ethernet cord--it doesn't matter if I transfer any data.
Also, this problem does not happen when I charge the phone via an electrical outlet. It only happens when connecting my phone via the laptop. Recreating the contents of these folders is getting frustrating.
