My nokia messaging email is no more receiving and composing messages. Sometimes it just fails to log on. But when I check my email via internet, it shows messages that were received days ago and was not report in the nokia messaging email.
View 1 RepliesInstalled Nokia Messaging 10,2,0,26 and did setup 2 accounts (Gmail & POP3).
- from the phone I have forced to restore settings from the server.
- phone starts syncing, and downloads correctly Gmail headers
- nothing happens, as for the POP3 account
So, I have deleted and re-created the POP3 account 3 times, still no email incoming.
Currently emails written in Chinese and Japanese are unreadable for phones from the Euro zone.Possible to enable this?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI can type about two words when composing or responding to a text message and then it freezes and I get the force quit error message. I get the sense the phone is trying to do something else at the same time - like find my GPS. I killed and deleted a bunch of apps to see if that would work and it didn't. I was running Go SMS Pro, but went back to the factory app - and it's still a problem. I am still running Go Contacts and Go Dialer.

I am sure I don't have memory issues as there is nothing on the phone now. However message sending is fine. I tried hard and soft reset and also updated software via OVI Suite but still its the same. Also calculator application doesn't open. When I select calculator nothing happens.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have Nokia C7, recently updated with Belle OS. Past couple of weeks, I am noticing "Messaging" app connects to the internet and uploads some data. This happens whenever I open Messaging to check my messages with my internet connection enabled.
I have checked for Virus/Spyware..etc, but nothing seems to be existing. I have Kaspersky Mobile security. I have also removed the thirdparty app's as well, but still I have the same issue.
If I access the Messaging app when my Internet connection is disabled, it will "Mobile Data Off", which means it tries to connect to internet.
I have noticed with the RAZR that when composing a text in landscape mode you actually have to click "done" and then "send" but not if the phone is positioned normal. Can this be changed? I tend to forget to hit send thinking I did when I select done.

View 5 Replies View RelatedBeen a blackberry 10 user for a long time - considering the new lumia 950. One of the key features I'm looking for is the ability to attach multiple files from cloud storage like google/sky drive, drop box etc.
With bb10, while composing an email i can click attach files it takes me to BB10 file manger which has all my drives integrated - I can choose files from dropbox or skydrive and attach it to an email while replying to an email (remember. I don't have to start with the file manager app to attach files)
I have just used the Email app that came with my Defy to send a message for the first time. The only trouble is that it didn't send. It is sat in the outbox not actually doing anything. what I can do about it to try and get it to send it? I just don't see much in the way of options.
I have looked at the settings for the different email accounts I have and that particular one all the settings for incoming and outgoing servers are correct and just the same as they are in outlook on my computer.
all the mails coming to the inbox, i am receiving one more copy of that email again either immediately or a few minutes later.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter reading all this threads about different issues with Nokia, here are my problems with the new Belle:
1st - the backup during installation DID NOT saved setting on my phone so I had to remake them all over again. The explanation I came up with is the new OS etc.
2nd - there is no option to see messaging as in normal view with inbox, Sent items, Delivery reports etc. Everything is shown as in conversation thus I can't personalize my view. Meanwhile there is still option in settings to receive delivery report which I can not see because it is not shown in conversation window. After some time I choose to restore factory settings and get back to Anna. Imagine my surprise when after rebooting the new OS was still on and this is NOT my original software.
3rd there are some other "small" but annoying changes, one of them is the fact I can not switch to battery saving anymore, can not use fast change of profile, if I don't have gadget for clock (and I don't) I need to go through menu in order to change alarm or time.
Basically I want to know is there a way to downgrade to a previous OS or should I bring my phone to the service?
AFAIU Nokia Messaging may or may not be free depending on the operator, which can charge you for the service.
Pretty much like BlackBerry, albeit in that case all data go through their servers.
If all connections go through your provider's APN, how would Nokia know whether you're connected to Nokia Messaging or to some other server? All data exchange simply count towards your internet bundle, regardless if you use it for mail, internet browsing or whatever else you want to do, doesn't it?
got today an update and since than i am not able to open any email anymore.if i open the email it just closes the whole programm. So not having any emails on the phone anymore this 5800 is not useable anymore for me.

It syncs all my emails up to the 14th of April and does not go further. Can someone help me solve this issue?
View 4 Replies View RelatedUsing E71 on latest firmware 400.xxx, Nokia Messaging application does not synchronize my mail accounts automatically. Tried various settings under "when to sync" with no luck e.g. days: sunday trough to suturday, sync all day, all hours, always sync etc. However the manual synchronization works just fine. So hope someone can help at least with how to attempt troubleshoot this issue. If not with solution, as having email that one needs to sync manually is totally pointless.

Now every time I open up the email widget, it keeps asking me for my password and says login unsuccessful when I enter the password and try to login.Just an hour earlier, it was working fine.
By the way, I'm in Vancouver, Canada.
