Oct 27, 2011I was updating my Nokia C5-00 (RM-645) from Nokia Ovi Suite 3.1.1.90 (latest downloaded today). I was updating to latest release of 071.005. C5-00 battery was fully charged and I was updating through my laptop. Nokia Ovi suite downloaded firmware (some 128mb). while installing after some 4-5 min in the midway of installing it noticed "something wrong". It instructed me to remove micro usb from phone and reconnect it. I did like that again and again it gave same instructions and at last nothing happened.
Now my phone is switched off and it's not getting on... I can feel the vibration when I press Power on button but It's not working and even I tried (*+3+Green+Power on) button combition to reset, even that's also not working.. Now if I connect to Ovi suite, my phone is not ditected by Ovi suite. what I have to do now?

I noticed that when making or receiving a call, even with the volume set to 10 bars, when someone is standing next to me, he cannot hear the voice of the one am talking to. My friend has C3-00 with firmware V8-63, when he receives or makes a call, when you are standing next to him, you can hear the voice of the person he is talking to and you can reduce the volume in order for somone next to you not to ehar what you are discussion. Is it about the firmware or is it just my phone?I want to know so if I have to reverse back to V8.63 by flashing the phone or maintaining V8.71.

Why is this a problem ? Because it wont let me setup gmail Contact sync .. Keeps giving me a message "To start xxxxxxxx@gmail.com contacts synchronization with your BlackBerry® device, complete the security activation on your device:
1. In the Setup folder, log in to the Email Settings application.

This does not work and I'm guessing because i dont have the latest email settings on the device.. I have tried re-installing firmware , wipes etc..

Mar 17, 2012Yesterday night I was trying to install Nokia Belle on my C7 through Nokia suite. However, in between the installation process, my Nokia C7 went black and the installation could not be completed.
Since then my phone is blank. Now, when I hold the power button, the phone vibrates but does not start. The white charging light on the top blinks for sometime and then stops and nothing happens.
I believe it is a software problem as the phone is not starting even after charging my battery thru an external charger.
The original software was Symbian O3. Can I do a hardware reset? I can live if the phone data is lost.

Jun 4, 2011whenever i download and install applications from ovistore it doesn't continue and ends up as error. and when i tried to sync again my phone to nokia acount (the one where nokia sends link to your phone to sync it) i never receive the message. the instruction in the manual syncing doesn't seem so helpful as i can't find the "To create the profile, select "Menu", then "Connect", then "Sync" part.

Since I'll very likely be only using the card I'll buy with only these phones it doesn't really make sense to buy a Class 10 if e.g. a Class 2 is the only speed these handsets can sustain to the SD slot.Also if Class 4 or worse is all these can manage then I'll probably invest in 16Gb instead (simply for the reason that it'll just take an unreasonable time to re-fill that 32Gb) - so it's a fairly important question.

(even after restore factory settings).. plus my conversations menu showing a couple of msgs as standalone. apart from that i cant see Internet videos no matter what i do. i've followed a way to do it, a lot of people were succesful in doing it but i cant get it to work. i guess reinstalling firmware might work.

I tried to install it, which was a mistake During the installation Suite lost connection to the phone and as I checked the phone it was in test mode. It didn't respond to any keys so I had to remove the battery. After that the phone has been dead. When I try to boot it up or try to hard reset it with three-finger-salute the only response is a short vibration. After vibration the phone stays dead.Removing battery does not change anything.

Jul 22, 2011I work with a Nokia C5-00 operator locked (Movistar Spain) one month ago. When I connect it thru Ovi Suite (in a Windows 7 box), a firmware update was available, and yesterday I tried to do the upgrade.
Ovi Suite detected my phone, and a few moments later, backup its contents, and started to download the new firmware. Troubles came when Ovi Suite began to do the update, as it failed with a "Network Connect Error" when started to do the process.
Screen of my phone went completely white, and after disconnecting the USB cable, the phone simply died, except when I press the red button (it makes a vibration, but screen doesn't turn on). If I reconnect the phone to the computer, Windows try to install a "Nokia USB ROM" device, but unsuccessfully.
Can I make a sort of "reset" to revive my phone?

Apr 12, 2011I owned nokia C6-01 for about 2 months and update my firmware to PR1.2. I also put the 'notification widget' on my first homescreen. The notification will notify incoming message and miss call event. Recently, I noticed that widget didn't prompt any message notification even though I received a new message. I thought this must be widget problem. So I remove that widget.
However, when received new message, the phone not show a new message alert. But, the message icon (on top right,if in portrait mode) can be accessed to preview the message. To revert back my phone to normal, which to normalized 'notification widget', I restarted the phone. And put back 'notification widget' on my first homescreen. Then, everything was fine. Until for a few days,the problem same still after my phone.
