i have a a very important text thread running and for security reasons I would like to e-mail the whole lot at once to myself as a backup. (I can do individual messages but the thread has got so long there are not enough hours in the day!) It is also not clear when a whole backup is done to the PC whether text threads are backed up as well.

None of the phones are retaining text messages and or previous threads past 30 days. i.e. If I scroll to the last text message, it will go back only 30 days....and the end date changes each day, with text messages falling off.
Upon purchase, I made sure to set all to "Keep messages forever". Does anyone have ANY suggestions? Our previous BB's did not have this issue, and these previous text threads are critical for referencing past text message threads and the data exchanged.

I then want to send a brand new unrelated text message to the same recipient using the + (New message) icon at the upper right corner of the screen.he new text message invariably is appended to the bottom of the old thread, unrelated to the subject matter of the new text message that I want to send.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a droid incredible and am running handcent sms. Today I noticed that it WILL NOT show my text thread with my mom! Its not in the list, and the messages from her dont show up in my notifications. The only way I can read them is if i click the "send message" button on her name in my phonebook and it shows the previous messages, otherwise I cant find it. It really sucks because I can never tell when she texts me! Any solutions? All of my other messages work perfectly
View 1 Replies View RelatedOne of my SMS threads with someone has gotten so long (a LOT of messages over a year or so) that it's slowed right down and takes about 10 seconds to load up initially, and then trying to reply is all jumpy & slow, it basically seems to have slowed right down to be unusable. I'm assuming the thread has gotten too long and it's juggling it around in memory.
I'm just wondering if there's any way I can resolve this? If possible I'd rather not delete the thread, but will if there's no alternative. Is there a way I can save this thread and then start a new one with this person? Or back up the thread or something?
Is there a picture thread for Samsung based phones we can post to similar to the Apple, SE and Nokia forums?
View 15 Replies View RelatedI got my galaxy s2 about a month ago, and it's not rooted When i go to delete SMS threads, the mesages are deleted but the 'shell' of the thread remains in the list of threads. This is whether I use the stock messaging app or GO SMS. I've also tried backing up my text messages, deleting them all, restarting the phone and then restoring the messages but it doesn't work. If I back up the messages and then delete them using SMS cleaner no messages are deleted (even after a phone restart) although SMS cleaner then says there are no messages to find when I try to repeat this step. The shell messages all have the date 1st Jan 1970. Is there a way to fix this without rooting my phone?

I have tried to restart my phone but when I do, the "deleted" threads show back up on my phone. I use iOS 7.1.

View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen I receive group messages (whether from iphone, android, or windows) they show up in individual message threads. I have to download them, then they disappear from that thread and show up in the group thread.
I do not get a notification when they originally come through in the individual thread. I have to open my messages app and see an unread message. I do get a normal notification though once it has downloaded and transferred to the group thread.
I have group messages checked in the message settings
I have data roaming checked in data usage settings
I have AT&T
I use the stock messaging
I also have this same issue if someone sends me a picture, no notification and it must be downloaded
Is it due to having background data restricted? I cannot turn it on to see if it changes anything because I have a small data plan and don't want to risk going over.......
Is there a function in lumia 610 that allows all of the conversations in the threads to be deleted all at a go, instead of one at a time? Also, is it possible to mass select contacts (when you are sms/mms-ing) by just checking the box besides the contacts instead of adding one contact at a time? I just got the phone 4 days ago hence I do not know the functionality very well.

There have been several instances where I have sent a picture message to someone, after I send the photo, i go back to the messaging thread a few moments later and it doesn't show the picture(s)... It's as if I never sent the photo. I have asked my friend(s) if they got the photos i sent, but they said no, so I have to send a 2nd time.

I have a Mid-2009 MacBook Pro 15" and am having issues using the images taken from my iPhone 4S and using them on blogs and/or threads. When I want to upload an image for my "profile picture" for instance, I continually get an "unable to upload error" from the website.I have tried several different websites and I continue to receive these messages with any image originally taken with my 4S. When I upload an image from iPhoto that was captured from my digital camera, the same website(s) have no problems uploading the image(s). It appears that any image I capture using my iPhone 4S, I can't seem to upload on any website EXCEPT for Facebook. For whatever reason, I keep getting "rejection" from all the blogs and threads I belong to.

And also, it takes ages to send a text, and sometimes it doesn't at all. This isn't the area im in either, it's from my house and it's always been fine so it isn't the connection. View 1 Replies View Relatedjust got a samsung galaxy sII yesterday after updating from a htc incredible s..(which i found to be incredibily s**t). so far the samsung seems to be a nice phone. easy to use and very fast. theres only one thing thats causing me a bit of frustration, and thats that i cant seem to make my contacts appear with their profil pics in my message inbox next to their conversation threads. they all appear with the default silhouette. i've synced my facebook contacts with my phone contacts and done it both through the facebook app and the social hubb app. my background data and auto sync are activated aswell. i've tried using an app called syncmypix and that didn't work either. when a contact calls me their picture comes up, but im my messages their pics dont appear. i just got off the phone with a samsung representative and they told me i had to merge my contacts with my google account. so i did but this still didnt work, and then they told me its probably a problem with my network provider, which i think was just an attempt by them to get rid of me
