IPhone 5 :: Picture Messages Not Displaying In Threads
Jun 28, 2014
I have started to experience a new issue with my iPhone 5 this week. There have been several instances where I have sent a picture message to someone, after I send the photo, i go back to the messaging thread a few moments later and it doesn't show the picture(s)... It's as if I never sent the photo. I have asked my friend(s) if they got the photos i sent, but they said no, so I have to send a 2nd time.
messages app continues to crash. All messaging stops working and all of my message threads disappear. the only thing that has seemed to work is restarting my phone. Happens at least once a day.
I purchased 4 BB Bold 9900's in June 2012 for a new small biz venture. None of the phones are retaining text messages and or previous threads past 30 days. i.e. If I scroll to the last text message, it will go back only 30 days....and the end date changes each day, with text messages falling off.
Upon purchase, I made sure to set all to "Keep messages forever". Does anyone have ANY suggestions? Our previous BB's did not have this issue, and these previous text threads are critical for referencing past text message threads and the data exchanged.
T-mobile Tech Support and RIM did not have an answer
When I receive group messages (whether from iphone, android, or windows) they show up in individual message threads. I have to download them, then they disappear from that thread and show up in the group thread.
I do not get a notification when they originally come through in the individual thread. I have to open my messages app and see an unread message. I do get a normal notification though once it has downloaded and transferred to the group thread.
I have group messages checked in the message settings I have data roaming checked in data usage settings I have AT&T I use the stock messaging
I also have this same issue if someone sends me a picture, no notification and it must be downloaded
Is it due to having background data restricted? I cannot turn it on to see if it changes anything because I have a small data plan and don't want to risk going over.......
I have just upgraded to the new blackberry 9900. I backed up my old device and transferred across all my contacts.
All contacts appear in BBM, but none of them have there display pictures showing. have checked with contacts via sms and they do not see my current profile picture either, even though I have one to display.
All data works and can BBM contacts with no issue. All data files have been updated by vodafone as well. I have tried a re install and also a battery pull.
I've just purchased the new Samsung galaxy S6. I'd like to know how you can display the picture of an incoming caller on the screen? I was able to associate an image in the contacts list but for some reason, when that person calls me, their picture doesn't show on the screen. On the IPHONE it shows a full screen image of the person calling.
Everything is superb however 1 thing is annoying me and i cant seem to sort it, ive had a look round the forum and cant see this elsewhere.
When viewing "Messages" im getting Emails but its also displaying BBM messages too, the help files say check Filters but i dont even have that as an option when clicking Menu > Options. I just want Emails displayed in messages nothing else, SMS and MMS is together in another view, which is fine.
I have two GMAIL accounts and one Exchange account on Iphone, and suddenly I can't see the content of the message when I open it. At the Inbox, I see who it is from, subject and the first few sentences, but as soon as I attempt to open it, the body of the message vanishes.
My iPhone 5 has abruptly stopped notifying me of new voicemail messages yesterday. I did not update any software recently. Not only am I no longer notified of new voicemail messages in visual voicemail, they are not listed.
I only learned of the problem when a friend bragged about the humor in his message to me. I looked but could not find the message. I then left myself a voicemail on my iPhone from a landline, but have not been notified of the new message.Â
Anytime i miss a call, the missed call log takes over my messages application (even though i did not enable call logs to be displayed in my messages application). So when i open my message or email application i will not see my emails but my missed call logs will be displayed there until i do a hard reset.
my Xperia Neo has decided recently not to alert me to new messages when they arrive. I have checked my alert settings and nothing seems to be wrong there. Because of this, I have missed a couple of important messages, which were too late to deal with when i actually saw them. A good 3 hours arfter my phone said they were recieved.
To be clear, no notification bar message was displayed, my phone did not vibrate or make a sound at all.how I can fix it, but I do not wish to do a factory reset.
My Xperia-Neo V Has Stopped displaying thumbnails of of message sender.it's displaying only the names.also in the contacts, though sycronised with my fb acc the thumbnails are missing of many...
I have a Torch 9800. Ever since I got it, I've noticed that, occasionally, messages will not show up in my inbox. My phone will buzz when I receive them, and I'll have the "new messages" icon on the homescreen, but clicking the messages icon brings me to an empty inbox.
I've noticed this behavior impacting email (my gmail account is the only one I have going to the blackberry), text messages, and two different third-party chat clients.
I don't have any messages being filtered to different folders or anything like that. Clicking "View Folder" verifies that my inbox is selected.
But here's where it gets weird: if I compose a new email and send it, when I return to the inbox, all the messages appear. It's almost as if the inbox is having a problem displaying the message list, but once I force a new item to display (the newly sent message), it shocks it back to life.
I have an issue with sms from just two senders with android phones, Samsung phones. The messages they send appear in inbox and taskbar but when opening the conversation the messages do not display at all, very annoying. I have tried force stop, clear data and restart but messages just don't appear.
I have had several people try to text me pictures through the messaging program and they do not even show up. Is there a setting I am missing to enable them to come through?
My husband carried both our phones to be serviced.. It worked for a few hours and stopped again. We found other ways to send pictures through apps but not everyone uses these apps. Sending pictures only works through imessages but then again not everyone on my contact list has it. Anyone got any ideas or fixes to the problem?
Every now and then I have a problem where my iPhone 4 will not send picture messages. I have checked MMS and it is on as well as cellular data and everything else involving sending or revieving data (except for mobile hotspot, but that's irrelevant). It will send pictures via iMessage (I sent a picture to an iTouch)it will not send pictures via text message.it WILL send text messages. turning WiFi off or on does not affect outcome turning MMS off to try to send via iMessage through WiFi results in the picture icon going away I've tried turning the phone on and off. I'm thinking there might be an error with the SIM card, where it may not think I can send picture messages... When sending to someone who has an iPhone, it will not try to send via iMessage it goes straight to text message.nothing works
Just recently, in the past couple of days, my iphone will not send pictures through text. It ends up saying not delivered. I noticed that this is only to other iPhone users. I also noted that it does not matter if I am on wifi or cellular network. It just does not want to work. When I send pictures to non iPhone users, they always go through. Â
I have tried restoring my iphone, turning it on and off, reseting the network, making sure mms messaging is turned on as well as sms.
I just received the Bold 9650 with 6 OS on it a few weeks ago. Although I am receiving text emails alright, the HTML emails aren't displaying correctly. It is just a bunch of jibberish displaying on the screen. After searching online for a solution, everyone just keeps saying to enable HTML under the messages option... but I'm not even finding the messages option choice? Under the Options menu, I have:
Sounds and Ring Tones Networks and Connections Display Typing and Input Device Call Management Security Accessibility Third Party Applications
how to get my HTML messages to display? I've tried taking the battery out and I've also tried "Get Images" and that doesn't do anything at all.
When I go into the text messages app, it only shows the current day's messages and the time that I received them. No contact name, no number. I've played around with it a bit, but cant figure out where to even begin addressing this.
I recently switched out my Curve 9350 under warranty, since the old one was overheating and draining the battery. The first one I had didn't have this issue, from the get-go it showed contact names, pictures, and broke the messages down into days, but I could scroll and view all of them. My new one has only shown my text messages in the way I described above.
I have several text messages from several different people. The problem is the display only shows 1 text message string from that 1 person at a time. All the other text message strings are hidden from me .. until I delete THAT string.Oddly, sometimes I can see 2 text message strings from 2 different people .. but I cannot see all the others until these are removed.I can't even scroll down to see the other text message strings.
how to sort problems with sending/receiving picture messages on the iphone 4S? I've gone through all the re-setting etc at the place I bought it and it still doesn't work!! Spoken to 02 and they said it's an issue with Apple software?
Twice now someone has sent me a picture attached to a text message. When I touch the picture to open it, I csnnot return to Messages. The picture is stuck and if I try to get out of Messages and back in, the picture is the only thing that pops up.
