I just got google mobile app and I see here that there's a gmail app as well which I installed. Just wondering which of you guys use most when you have gmail as your main email? The native messages app or the gmail app for BB? Also the google search app is pretty nice but I don't see any use for it when I already have the Browser icon in my home screen.

I ask, because I have multiple email accounts on my phone, gmail, hotmail, etc.. gmail is on the native gmail app, which is currently pushing... but the others are in the HTC Mail app.
I'd rather have 1 app for everything, instead of bouncing between.. IMAP is IMAP.. which the HTC Mail app supports (for moving to and from folders).. but if it doesn't push using the IDLE command (like gmail app does).. then I'm stuck where I am.
i was experiencing lag with my torch and got rid of social feeds cause i thought that what was the culprit and i think it worked, ive been using the phone switching between apps and it seems like the lag is gone. anyone else not using social feeds?

It says that application is already installed and if i want to replace with current version. But it can't replace the original files and says Unable to install. I have just activated my new Triumph. I have not installed any apps besides what came with it. Upon startup, everything works. If I leave the phone sit for awhile, maybe 15 minutes, I will start to get force close messages for almost every app.Messaging (process com.android.mms)Market (process com.android.vending)Facebook (process com.facebook.katana)Google Services Framework (processom.google.process.gapps)The browser crashes so fast, I don't get a chance to push "Force Close"If I restart the phone, I get a trouble free experience for another 10-15 minutes. Strangely, the phone works with no issue.This is very frustrating to me as I had heard all of the wonderful things about Android and mine crashes constantly.

i was messing around with my torch and noticed that the social feeds swiping doesn't have a delay if you swipe up top (once the top bar turns blue), this leads me to believe that 1) rim intended for the swipe delay or 2) rim didn't intend for the delay and it's fixable via os update. the video may explain it better.
I am trying to extend battery life and kill some native apps. One that shows as a big battery drain is Geo News but I can't find the app to uninstall it. When I go to the Play Store it only gives me the option to install it. This is on my Galaxy S5 which I've had since November and the last couple of weeks I've been going through the battery huge. Trying to follow all the advice here to delete and disable, but so far not terribly successful.

When I receive an email via gmail, I swipe down to see who it is from, if it is garbage I hit the "delete" shortcut (without opening the actual email or gmail app). I cannot get the message to delete. On my S4 I hit "delete" and the message turns in to a bar that says "deleting" and then disappears. With the edge, the "deleting" bar pops up, says it has been delete and the message and message notification do absolutely nothing. It is driving me up the wall.

So, I keep getting the error "Your Apple ID or Password is Incorrect". My Apple ID is an @mac.com, so I can't change it. I went into settings on my phone, signed out and signed back in trying to force it to use the @mac.com as my Apple ID, but it still keeps thinking that that my email address is it.

I saw last week on Crackberry that some users were seeing their read messages sync properly from gmail onto their BB. Have any Verizon Tour users seen this? Since last week messages I send from the web gmail interface appear on my BB but when I view a message online it doesn't show as read on my BB. Has anyone with Verizon and the Tour gotten this to work properly?

Oh and Gmail plug is DL'd and also I do have Wireless Reconcole set that it will delete on both sides.
My Gmail and Blackberry sync works perfectly except for one area. When I delete messages in Gmail through my web browser they do not delete through sync on the Blackberry. How can I fix this? View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I received a Canadian Rogers LG Xenon a couple days ago, I am not able to get any gmail apps to function on it (gmail, maps etc).After some troubleshooting I think it is because of the fact that the Access point settings in the phone are incorrect (read: not all entered)yet they are locked and not editable.For the rogers Internet Profile which is used for Application Data usage it did not have a user-name and password setup for the account.

When i look on the phone it does appear to have these settings (minus username/password which are blank) so.I tried to simply create a new Profile (new profile name also) to added the user-name and password but as soon as I enter the internet.com address the phone indicates that this access point already has a profile associated to it and you can not duplicate entries.Rogers Technical support also told me their "support" phone in the office was setup the exact same way and they could not edit it, and they do not 'support' gmail apps....I know other people have Rogers branded phones that are able to access gmail apps, could someone please verify if there accounts have the username and passwords set on their devices.The lady also said that the sim card is were this data is stored and that I should try putting my sim into a different phone to see if I could edit these settings there.....this doesn't sound correct to me, as this is my sim from my old phone were I manually entered all of these values.
I have a Blackberry Curve 8530 with v5.0.xx installed. I just setup my Gmail IMAP on my BB and when I read a message on my BB it doesn't show as read on my computer and visa versa.

However, the same is working on the wireless network.I have probably reset my phone to factory settings/repaired the installation atleast 3 times in the past for other problems such as missing entries in call logs, slow response, etc. I am on Anrdroid 2.1 Random reboots happen almost thrice a week and phone response is very slow.
