IPhone :: Updating Apps Trying To Use Gmail ID As Apple ID?

For some reason, all of a sudden, when I try to update an App on my phone, it's trying to use my gmail email address as my Apple ID. So, I keep getting the error "Your Apple ID or Password is Incorrect". My Apple ID is an @mac.com, so I can't change it. I went into settings on my phone, signed out and signed back in trying to force it to use the @mac.com as my Apple ID, but it still keeps thinking that that my email address is it.

iphone4s built-in email is frustrating because it does not allow for replies to incoming mail; deletions and archiving, composing new mail, et al., as gmail does.. is it possible to disable or eliminate iphone email app and sub for gmail app, which i use regulary, just as i do on my laptop?

Why iPhone 4S has a problem with Apple ID. When I go to the Apple Store that update any of my apps. It says Apple ID underneath it Browser LBJ but when I type in my Apple ID it always says it's wrong. So I go in and reset the Apple ID and it still does not work on my iPhone.

I was trying to update software for my iPhone 5 from 7.1.1 to 7.1.2 but it froze on the apple logo and loading bar. I haven't backed up anything on my iPhone so would I loose all my contacts, photos and other important data? I can not restore my iPhone 5 unless there is a way to back it up. I am having trouble after updating Hubby's iPhone 4 after it wanted an update. After doing the backup & etc none of the applications will open. You can hit the app button it just blinks & closes. I went onto my App Store and noticed I had an update for Messenger. I tried to update it but when I tried to update the app it just gave me that buffering circle for multiple minutes. I thought something was wrong with my Wi-Fi but nothing was wrong with that either i contacted my internet supplier and they sent me a new signal and everything. Still nothing, I went to my friend's house and tried updating my apps there, nothing happened still. It just tells me "Waiting" When I exit out the App Store to check on the progress of the apps that are suppose to be downloading. They didn't have any progress at all, I tried reseting my phone and nothing happened still! I then signed out of my Apple ID to see if that would resolve the problem. Still nothing. Now today Instagram has a new update, I tried updating that thinking that only Messenger was having a flaw with updating, Instagram wouldn't update either.

eversince i updated my iphone 4 to ios 5.1.1 most, if not all of my apps, suffers from crashing. there are times that all will be normal, but there are many times when after just a few seconds of launching an app, it will just crash.

I have an iPhone 5S running iOS 7.1.1, and recently (I believe just since the iOS 7.1.1 update) apps are not updating in the App Store. For example, Instagram rolled out new version 6.0.0, and if I search for "Instagram" in the App Store, the "Information" section for Instagram says that the version is "6.0.0". However, at the top where it should have the "UPDATE" button, it still just says "OPEN" like the most current version is installed. If I go open the version of Instagram I have installed, and click "About This Version", it confirms that I am using "Instagram V5.0.13", the older version of the app.Â
If I click on the "Updates" tab at the bottom, apps that have newer versions do not appear there as available to update. For example, I should have a notification that an update is available for Instagram, but I do not.Â
I'm not sure how many apps are affected, since I would have to manually go through and check the version number listed inside the app, and then check the version number in the App Store, but this is not the first time this happened. I only noticed it this time because of news stories covering the new Instagram release.Â
I only use one Apple ID on my Phone, and I have always used the United States app store, but since I've seen this listed as an issue I went through and re-selected the United States app store and re-accepted the Terms and Conditions. I have tried logging out of my Apple ID and back in through the App Store, and also through Settings > iTunes & App Store. I have tried restarting my phone, and I have also tried performing a "soft reset" (holding down Home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously until the phone restarts). Nothing so far has worked.

Over the past few days I have been having issues updating and downloading apps. When I go to do either, the app or apps just sit there "waiting", sometimes for hours. Eventually they will download or I will just connect to the computer to update. This is happening on both 3G and wifi connections.
