BB (RIM) :: Everytime On Updating OS / I Lose My Downloaded Apps
Mar 26, 2010So I've done 2 updates with my somewhat new 9700 Bold 2 with my Mac using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac. I will do backups and syncs before each of my updates always but unfortunately my 9700 fresh out of update has barely any Apps on it (not even all the default apps like AIM, ICQ, Maps, etc.). I'll have to get Desktop Manager going again to find out I need to click on the "Applications" tab and add back all of the original included Applications.
They don't even have all the Apps that I downloaded in that "applications" tab section via BlackBerry App World! Where did all of those Apps go? (Messenger, Poynt, Google Maps, etc.) I'm sick and tired of having to redownload all the apps that I want from App World every time an update rolls around. It's an unlocked Bell 9700 (using Rogers)

Mar 25, 2012Since I updated my iOS from 5.0.1 to 5.1, my iPhone:
1) Takes a lot more time finding the network when I turn it on.
2) Frequently loses reception and searches for network for 10-30 seconds before going back on the network full strength. The weird thing is that when this happens, I'm usually at the same place, so it does not make sense that I go from five bars of signal to nothing.
3) Also, when I lose signal, there is a prompt telling me that I lost signal. This prompt is annoying, is there a way to make it not appear?

May 15, 2012I have an IPhone and a few months ago, I bought my son an IPod Touch.I thought it would be easier to register his Touch under my account and share some of the apps, but now it is becomig an issue.I get all the texts and facetime calls that he receives, and he can see all of my calendar entries, notes, and contacts.I have set up an account for him, and I want to move the IPod Touch to that account, but I do not want to lose the apps that I bought specifically for the IPod touch, nor do we want to lose his "game data". Is there a way that I can move the touch to the new account and not lose the apps and data.I am okay with him not being able to access the apps that I bought and use on the IPhone.

Dec 3, 2014 I went onto my App Store and noticed I had an update for Messenger. I tried to update it but when I tried to update the app it just gave me that buffering circle for multiple minutes. I thought something was wrong with my Wi-Fi but nothing was wrong with that either i contacted my internet supplier and they sent me a new signal and everything. Still nothing, I went to my friend's house and tried updating my apps there, nothing happened still. It just tells me "Waiting" When I exit out the App Store to check on the progress of the apps that are suppose to be downloading. They didn't have any progress at all, I tried reseting my phone and nothing happened still! I then signed out of my Apple ID to see if that would resolve the problem. Still nothing. Now today Instagram has a new update, I tried updating that thinking that only Messenger was having a flaw with updating, Instagram wouldn't update either.

Sep 11, 2015I'm constantly battling low internal drive space on my Tab S (I'll NEVER buy another 16GB internal drive device), but this question should also pertain to my S6.
When I go into my "Storage" settings, I have the option to clear my cache with one click. I'd like to use this function to clear off my cached browsing, imgur, etc., but my concern is my games.
1) If I clear the cache, will I lose my saved game data?
2) Will I lose any settings for any apps?

Jun 2, 2012For some reason, all of a sudden, when I try to update an App on my phone, it's trying to use my gmail email address as my Apple ID. So, I keep getting the error "Your Apple ID or Password is Incorrect". My Apple ID is an @mac.com, so I can't change it. I went into settings on my phone, signed out and signed back in trying to force it to use the @mac.com as my Apple ID, but it still keeps thinking that that my email address is it.

Jun 4, 2014I have an iPhone 5S running iOS 7.1.1, and recently (I believe just since the iOS 7.1.1 update) apps are not updating in the App Store. For example, Instagram rolled out new version 6.0.0, and if I search for "Instagram" in the App Store, the "Information" section for Instagram says that the version is "6.0.0". However, at the top where it should have the "UPDATE" button, it still just says "OPEN" like the most current version is installed. If I go open the version of Instagram I have installed, and click "About This Version", it confirms that I am using "Instagram V5.0.13", the older version of the app.Â
If I click on the "Updates" tab at the bottom, apps that have newer versions do not appear there as available to update. For example, I should have a notification that an update is available for Instagram, but I do not.Â
I'm not sure how many apps are affected, since I would have to manually go through and check the version number listed inside the app, and then check the version number in the App Store, but this is not the first time this happened. I only noticed it this time because of news stories covering the new Instagram release.Â
I only use one Apple ID on my Phone, and I have always used the United States app store, but since I've seen this listed as an issue I went through and re-selected the United States app store and re-accepted the Terms and Conditions. I have tried logging out of my Apple ID and back in through the App Store, and also through Settings > iTunes & App Store. I have tried restarting my phone, and I have also tried performing a "soft reset" (holding down Home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously until the phone restarts). Nothing so far has worked.
