Jun 26, 2010Since iOS4 it seems no matter what I do the email get archived instead of deleted. Is there a secret I'm missing?

Jun 30, 2010Okay so why aren't my messages Deleting on Both sides? I thought BIS made modifications where it would delete on both sides?
Oh and Gmail plug is DL'd and also I do have Wireless Reconcole set that it will delete on both sides.

Jun 14, 2014Just got a replacement N5 and I'm using the native email app (as I was on my previous N5), with gmail syncing turned on. The problem is when I delete an email on my phone, it's not deleting it from the Gmail server (it's still there if I check email on my PC). Some setting on the phone or in Gmail on the PC that I'm forgetting about?

But I have one question; When I delete messages do they get archived or do they get sent to trash? there's no option to specify this in settings as there is with the IMAP setup.

Issue is I'm not seeing any of my existing / read messages on my phone. After set up I had zero messages in my blackberry email inbox. How do I go about getting these message in my blackberry email?
HTC One M7 :: Disabling / Deleting The Gmail App
Jun 7, 2013Is there a way to permanently disable the gmail app (or better yet, delete it)? Basically, I want to use my gmail account for gtalk and google voice only. (By way of background, I don't use gmail for email, but i do have some email accounts that will forward mail to my gmail account, so I do wind up having "new mail" in gmail every now and then.)
I already have the sync setting turned to OFF under settings -> accounts & sync -> auto sync is OFF and under "manage accounts," my google/gmail account is set to OFF for sync. This seemed to be working fine until I downloaded the update for the HTC one, and upon installation and reboot, all of my apps did a global sync and gmail started ticking again.
I know that I can turn off gmail notifications as a (temporary) workaround, but I'm hoping there is a more permanent solution.

Sep 2, 2010while in the process of setting up my phone, i created a gmail account, which i need so i can use market, etc. how i can go about removing that gmail account... silly blonde moment, i spelt my name wrong, so want to remove that email account and register a new one, but i can't find anywhere where i can delete it, it just keeps coming up to put my email in.

Aug 15, 2011When I started my phone for the first time, it automatically synched my GMail contacts, which I really don't want on the phone. On other Android phones, there was a way to clear the data in Contacts Storage when you went into the app through the app menu. That option is "greyed out" on the Photon, so I can't just erase all the contacts and let my Outlook contacts automatically repopulate.Is there another way to clear Contacts Storage without doing a reset? I"m sure I could get rid of them by starting over, but they I lose all the customization I've already done.

Mar 24, 2012I have just replaced my old phone with the iPhone 4S and it is great. I am going thorugh the learning curve, and want to be as effcient as I can be as quickly as I can. My first challenge is to try and delete multiple e-mails, rather than doing it one at a time. How can I delete consectutive emails from my in box? I still get junk mail and it would be so much easier to highlight a bunch of them if I could. With my old phone I would click on one of the messages and then start touching the screen below that point and it would include all of the messages in between.

Sep 10, 2014I delete a text message. I kill my message app. Open the app back up and it's just a white screen.
I have to turn my phone off and turn it back on to get my messages back.
But the message that I "deleted" is still there. How do I delete the message?
It's a message that I've had in my phone for a really long time, so I can't delete every text individually considering the conversation was in my phone for two years.
I've tried to delete the message in every way that I know how and it still does this.

May 14, 2010I use gmail and when I delete an email on the web, it doesn't delete on my BB. The same goes for when I open an email on the web, it doesn't show 'read' on my BB. Interestingly though, if I delete or read an email on my BB, the action is reciprocated on the web.And finally, if I send myself an email (either from the web or my BB), it appears on the web but not on my BB.

Whereas in the previous OS, I had a choice of deleting messages on the handheld only or on both the handheld and my computer, I now only get an option to delete which removes the message from the handheld but not from my computer. Is there an option which enables the delete to remove a message from the handheld and the computer? Is there also a way to maintain the ability to delete only from the handheld?

Nov 3, 2011I have Curve 9300 3G, running on OS 6 (6.0.0.600, platform 6.6.0.223)The device is automatically deleting my messages after few feeks, starting from the oldest (they last about 1 month than they are deleted..)I have tried to look for an option of "how long to save messages" in the device and couldn't find any.... In the device manual it says and in the device HelpSearch it sais the same:home->messages->options-> Message Display and Actions , but this sub-category option doesn't appear on my device messages options (i googled it and also ppl said they can't find this option on their curve 3G...)i have in option of messages this sub-categories:General Text Messaging options, SMS Text, MMS and in none of them there is an option regarding how long to keep txt messages...

Oct 4, 2012I am new to the forum, and I am very frustrated with my phone. I've had it for 2 years, no problems, till the last few weeks.About 3 weeks ago, I stopped getting any messages or notifications from FB on my blackberry. Don't know how to fix that.I also cannot delete notifications I did get back to 9/27.I cannot erase my messages. It was erasing all of them just fine, then it was deleting current ones.Now its not deleting any. I have messages on my phone going back to 9/27. I've had this problem a few times here and there, but if I turned it off, took battery out and put back in and turned back on, it'd let me do it.I can't find anything on this website to help either problem. I am able to get an upgraded phone, but can't afford it right now. And even when I can, not so sure it'll be a blackberry. I really don't understand all the technical mumble jumble.

Apr 18, 2011I have a BB Torch. When a message comes in on my phone, it is displayed at the center beneath the clock. I click to open. Then just below where the box shows there a new message that had just come in, a "text message box appears". Now, then the message would be opened on clicking. It will then disappears to the inbox once read. If I go click "Text Messages", I will find that message in the inbox which is fine. I can therefore delete any message in the inbox.
The Problem Some of the messages will not be diverted into the inbox for some reasons I don't seem to gather. These though, when opened, will just show a symbol (smiley, etc.) but without any text. The symbol will appear at the extreme right.
Nokia :: 5530 Restarts While Deleting Messages
Feb 17, 2010I've been using 5530 for last 2 weeks and every time im deleting mssgs whether one by one or sometimes by marking few and then deleting them, the phone will restart itself showing black n red lines first, after that, nokia screen would show up and then the home screen would appear?
Is it some kind of bug issue or some virus problem?And should i upgrade my cell software cause right now my cell software version is v11.0.054.
