I delete a text message. I kill my message app. Open the app back up and it's just a white screen.
I have to turn my phone off and turn it back on to get my messages back.
But the message that I "deleted" is still there. How do I delete the message?
It's a message that I've had in my phone for a really long time, so I can't delete every text individually considering the conversation was in my phone for two years.
I've tried to delete the message in every way that I know how and it still does this.
I have Curve 9300 3G, running on OS 6 (6.0.0.600, platform 6.6.0.223)The device is automatically deleting my messages after few feeks, starting from the oldest (they last about 1 month than they are deleted..)I have tried to look for an option of "how long to save messages" in the device and couldn't find any.... In the device manual it says and in the device HelpSearch it sais the same:home->messages->options-> Message Display and Actions , but this sub-category option doesn't appear on my device messages options (i googled it and also ppl said they can't find this option on their curve 3G...)i have in option of messages this sub-categories:General Text Messaging options, SMS Text, MMS and in none of them there is an option regarding how long to keep txt messages...
* Memory Cleaning is disabled** Also in some searches in google ppl said free some memory. it is not the problem.. i have 70 MB free on the device and 7GB free in my memory card.. my BB is new.. only 2 month old so where can i set the device settings regarding saving my messages?
is there any other way to delete the text messages rather deleting one by one can we delete in one single tap. (I am talking abt msg thread not conversation, as we have a option to delete the whole conversation in one single tap).
I have a S5 and whenever i get a text i can see it on my locked screen but when i go in t the message its gone, same if i send a text it gets sent and everything but i cant see it in my log...
I have given up on trying to find the answer to this ridiculously basic question in the User Guide. (I must not be using the keywords that the user guide understands!)
how to delete multiple text messages at the same time, rather than deleting them individually? My phone is an X10 mini pro.
I've spent so long googling and I've made exactly no progress at all...!!- Problem: my blackberry only keeps text messages for about a week before deleting them- Phone type: It is a blackberry Curve 9320. It seems to be on OS 7.1. I got it around the middle of October 2012.- Also worth noting: unlike most people I've found online with this complaint- my call logs aren't being deleted, and are still intact all the way back to the middle of October when I got the phone.- Also, emails aren't deleted after a week, they perhaps linger for as much as a month before vanishing.
(I don't care about those as much because I can access them other ways, whereas texts I can't)According to various googlings and also questions on here, this is most commonly due to lack of memory, therefore they suggest that you check your memory status and then free some up if required.- When I go into device and status information it tells me that my free memory is around 133602256 bytes (which I believe is in the region of 126mb?). Does this count as a lot or a little? Could this be the source of the problem after all?- Similarly when I look in memory use under media it says 'built-in media storage 96% free (30.4mb)' and 'media card storage 95% free (1.7gb)'The other obvious thing which I've checked (and initially thought had solved the problem but it hadn't) was 'Message display and actions' where I've had 'days to keep messages' set as forever but it doesn't seem to have made a difference.Am I missing something really obvious? How can I get it to keep my messages for more than 7 or 8 days?
I have just replaced my old phone with the iPhone 4S and it is great. I am going thorugh the learning curve, and want to be as effcient as I can be as quickly as I can. My first challenge is to try and delete multiple e-mails, rather than doing it one at a time. How can I delete consectutive emails from my in box? I still get junk mail and it would be so much easier to highlight a bunch of them if I could. With my old phone I would click on one of the messages and then start touching the screen below that point and it would include all of the messages in between.
On my iPhone, I noticed that the "Other" file in iTunes had grown. I also remember hearing that "Other" was your app data (like Angry Birds high scores), Text messages/iMessages, and so on. I was wondering if it was possible to delete older Messages (any messages older then a month ago) and not the newer ones.
Just yesterday my Iphone started deleting my contact information once I call or text someone. The number stays on the phone but all of the other information saved with the contact (including their name) disappears. Im using a 4S latest IOS. Ive done several complete restores to attempt to solve the issue with no luck.Â
My current text messages are being combined with old text messages, creating messages that don't reflect what I sent. The recipients of my texts are very confused....as am I when I get there response.
1) When I delete email messages using my pc (aol) they remain on my iPhone (also aol) and the same is true in reverse. How can I delete from both simultaneously?
2) Where/how on my iphone can I store various passwords.
I'm trying to delete a large message thread on my iPhone 5s. It's been there for a few years without being cleaned. Every time I try to delete it, my phone gets really hot and my messages app doesn't work. When I restart my phone, the message thread I tried to delete is still there and the messages app works again.
I have two mail inboxes, one for my hotmail and one for my work email. The hotmail one works fine. The other is a pain in the butt. Once I receive an email in the work inbox on my iphone I can see it, but the second I go to my laptop and open it in microsoft outlook it gets deleted from my iphone inbox.
I can send text messages but can't receive any text messages (sms). Ideed, i have a message like that : "message memory full" i delete a lot of messages, i don't have any video or pictures, my memory is not full, so i don't understand why it's like that. I have this probleme for 4 days ant it becomes very annoying. delete any message cause i delete three-quarters of messages..
I can't really receive any messages. It's all delayed. I'm from Philippines. my iPhone had been unlocked since my mom bought it in USA. I can't receive any messages here in our province but when I'm in Metro Manila, it's working.
When I send messages to an ordinary cell phone, they sometimes go through as photo messages even though I have not touched the camera icon next to the text window. When I intentionally send a photo message, my phone asks me if I want to take a new photo or use one from my camera roll. This question isn't asked when I type a normal text message, but it often is received as a photo message even though there is no photo.
Can anyone help me to delete every text message in my inbox and sent items in one go please? I seem to have accumulated thousands of them and can only work out how to delete them 1 by 1. At that rate, it will take me all day!
Hey guys, I did a quick look through and couldn't find a similar query about messaging: pretty much I'm looking at wanting to: - delete selective messages - delete them all in one go rather than for every one [options -> delete] x 100 - something similar to sony's [mark selected > tick those that you want to delete > delete] is there anything like that or is it just delete all or one at a time? if not - could it be something that can be included in the next software update? Thanks all, mk PHONE: Nokia 5800 XM
My messages are deleting by themselves, slowly but surely. I have my phone set to save them 'forever' and i always have done, so i'm not sure why this is happening. I have a Blackberry Curve 3G.
When I receive a text message I try to reply to the message and the text message window closes. I have synced the phone and it still will not let me send a text.
how can i delete multiple msgs on the X6 at one go? say if i have 50 msgs and i need to delete 20 together. there is only an option to mark all msg or mark each msg separately!
I have a BlackBerry Bold 9700 and recently upgraded to the new operating system 6.0.0.526. Whereas in the previous OS, I had a choice of deleting messages on the handheld only or on both the handheld and my computer, I now only get an option to delete which removes the message from the handheld but not from my computer. Is there an option which enables the delete to remove a message from the handheld and the computer? Is there also a way to maintain the ability to delete only from the handheld?
I am new to the forum, and I am very frustrated with my phone. I've had it for 2 years, no problems, till the last few weeks.About 3 weeks ago, I stopped getting any messages or notifications from FB on my blackberry. Don't know how to fix that.I also cannot delete notifications I did get back to 9/27.I cannot erase my messages. It was erasing all of them just fine, then it was deleting current ones. Now its not deleting any. I have messages on my phone going back to 9/27. I've had this problem a few times here and there, but if I turned it off, took battery out and put back in and turned back on, it'd let me do it.I can't find anything on this website to help either problem. I am able to get an upgraded phone, but can't afford it right now. And even when I can, not so sure it'll be a blackberry. I really don't understand all the technical mumble jumble.
