Just yesterday my Iphone started deleting my contact information once I call or text someone. The number stays on the phone but all of the other information saved with the contact (including their name) disappears. Im using a 4S latest IOS. Ive done several complete restores to attempt to solve the issue with no luck.Â

I wonder if anyone can help me. I am using the nokia 5310 and even though I am using a sim card with all my names stored in it, when I get a call or a text from someone who is in my phonebook it still just shows up as a number.
Also the names are not in order in my phone book.I am using this phone in Canada, and I got it from Ireland so the time on my incoming messages is 5 hours behind.So many issues!!
If I'm in the text message app viewing a conversation, press menu key, call, all the contact phones numbers show as "Other". the contact phone numbers have the correct labels in the contacts app.

I have actually watched it happen...I was reading a text message and saw the contact name disappear and just the phone number stay. When I went into my contacts the contact was no longer there so if I hadn't just gotten a text from that person I would have lost that number completely. This has happened many other times and I wasn't so fortunate as to have had a text message to fall back on to reenter the contact. Why is this happening and how do I stop it from happening.

I currently have my iPhone contacts synched with my Macbook Pro address book. I am wondering if there is a way to delete contacts from my phone, while keeping them in the address book of my Macbook? I have many contacts that I would like to keep permanently for future use, but am hoping to clean up the contacts on my actual phone. Each time I delete a contact from the iPhone, the contact is simultaneously deleted from my Macbook address book.

On my iPhone, I noticed that the "Other" file in iTunes had grown. I also remember hearing that "Other" was your app data (like Angry Birds high scores), Text messages/iMessages, and so on. I was wondering if it was possible to delete older Messages (any messages older then a month ago) and not the newer ones.

I delete a text message. I kill my message app. Open the app back up and it's just a white screen.
I have to turn my phone off and turn it back on to get my messages back.
But the message that I "deleted" is still there. How do I delete the message?
It's a message that I've had in my phone for a really long time, so I can't delete every text individually considering the conversation was in my phone for two years.
I've tried to delete the message in every way that I know how and it still does this.

I have a contact on BBM but it keeps deleting them. It has happened about 5 times now and I'm getting really annoyed at it. I have now lost all contact with the person and I want to know if there's any way to get them back? It's not the first person my BBM has deleted.

After finishing the call, the screen goes back to main menu.... but the contacts-app sticks active in the background. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Curve 3g and when I set the alert tone for message alerts for a contact it still plays the default tone.If I goto contact info it shows that is has the tone that I had set for it.I have tried rebooting, deleting contact and re adding them with the tones.When I deleted and readded it worked ok for a brief moment but then reverted back to using the default.It uses the proper ringtone.Its just the message tone I am having a problem with.

I tried highlighting it and looking at the menu options (when i press the bberry key) and there is no option to delete that contact. will i need to delete it from my main contact list to 'make it go away' and then re-enter it? I'm asking because this contact has a blackberry, and before I was able to scan their code, I had entered them into my blackberry messenger using their phone number. Since I just scanned the code from their phone, I now have 2 contact listings, (one which I don't need).
Just wondering if there was an easy way to delete the one contact, or if I need to completely delete them from my contact list, and start the scan process over again, and re-add them to my contact list.

I now have 300+ random email addresses in my contacts list that I cant seem to get rid of. View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been searching and searching on how to change to contact photo size when you make a call or receive a call. I prefer to see the small thumbnail in the upper left corner as opposed to the entire screen being taken up by the contact's photo. After checking multiple threads on this website every answer states that when you use the Address Book on the Mac it syncs the small thumbnail and when you apply the photo on the iPhone it displays the full screen photo size for the contact. Well this solution is not working for me. I've tried deleting the contact's photo then applying them using the Address Book on my Mac and after they sync with iCloud and I make a call it still displays as a full screen photo.

For some reason, when i scroll to the top of the messages between me and my daughter, the call button is not there. EMail face time and Contact are there, but no call. When I press contact I get her contact and her number is right there, face time and email work as well; but I cannot call her from the message screen.
Additionally when I sent her a text and she responds my text to her is not shown and hers shows us as a new sequence of messages.
Whenever I try to call one specific contact, my Iphone rings once, then says that the person I'm trying to call is unavailable. I never blocked the person, and the person never blocked me. My texts go through perfectly fine. I just physically can't call them. And it has nothing to do with being out of service or anything because the person can call me back a second later with no problem. I never had this problem until I got my iphone.

When some people who are listed in my contacts ring me they come up as unknown, this happenend before & Telstra told me how to fix it unfortunatly i didnt write it down & its happeneing again & they cant help this time, very annoying
