IPhone :: Contact Name Keeps Randomly Deleting

My iphone 4 keeps randomly deleting contacts on me. I have actually watched it happen...I was reading a text message and saw the contact name disappear and just the phone number stay. When I went into my contacts the contact was no longer there so if I hadn't just gotten a text from that person I would have lost that number completely. This has happened many other times and I wasn't so fortunate as to have had a text message to fall back on to reenter the contact. Why is this happening and how do I stop it from happening.

Just yesterday my Iphone started deleting my contact information once I call or text someone. The number stays on the phone but all of the other information saved with the contact (including their name) disappears. Im using a 4S latest IOS. Ive done several complete restores to attempt to solve the issue with no luck.Â

I currently have my iPhone contacts synched with my Macbook Pro address book. I am wondering if there is a way to delete contacts from my phone, while keeping them in the address book of my Macbook? I have many contacts that I would like to keep permanently for future use, but am hoping to clean up the contacts on my actual phone. Each time I delete a contact from the iPhone, the contact is simultaneously deleted from my Macbook address book.

I have a contact on BBM but it keeps deleting them. It has happened about 5 times now and I'm getting really annoyed at it. I have now lost all contact with the person and I want to know if there's any way to get them back? It's not the first person my BBM has deleted.

i accepted a contact on my bbm and after i relised he couldnt speak english and was wanting me to deposit money to him i deleted him and clicked the ignore future invitations, then the next day i got a message from him in the form of an email from his bbm pin to mine i have told him to delete me and leave me alone but he wont, how can he still message me like this after i have deleted him?

I have 2 contact lists on my 9900. Both with the same name, one will all my contacts in and one with only 36 in. I want to remove the small one as that is the one synching with Outlook, not the big one.

A glitch occurred on my contact list several blackberry's ago where some contacts have been duplicated 500 times. Now that I have a new blackberry I really want to get rid of these duplicates so that I can actually persuse my contact list. Is there a way to select multiple contacts to be deleted? It will take me way too long to delete 1500 duplicate contacts one at a time?

I have a Curve 3g and when I set the alert tone for message alerts for a contact it still plays the default tone.If I goto contact info it shows that is has the tone that I had set for it.I have tried rebooting, deleting contact and re adding them with the tones.When I deleted and readded it worked ok for a brief moment but then reverted back to using the default.It uses the proper ringtone.Its just the message tone I am having a problem with.

I just got a blackberry storm 2 about 2 weeks ago. I am trying to figure out how to delete a single sms contact. I tried highlighting it and looking at the menu options (when i press the bberry key) and there is no option to delete that contact. will i need to delete it from my main contact list to 'make it go away' and then re-enter it? I'm asking because this contact has a blackberry, and before I was able to scan their code, I had entered them into my blackberry messenger using their phone number. Since I just scanned the code from their phone, I now have 2 contact listings, (one which I don't need).
Just wondering if there was an easy way to delete the one contact, or if I need to completely delete them from my contact list, and start the scan process over again, and re-add them to my contact list.

It keeps deleting people off my bbm when I am not even touching it. Say I switch off my phone to goto sleep and turn it back on when I wake up it auto deletes someone off my contact list on there.

I recently needed to re-add all of my email accounts, doing it in a hurry I forgot to un-check 'sync contacts' when setting up my hotmail email. I now have 300+ random email addresses in my contacts list that I cant seem to get rid of. I had a look on desktop manager and all i could do was delete all -therefore including the numbers in my contact list too...obviously i don't want to do this....just want to get rid of all of these email addresses! I have tried deleting the email account and this also doen't work!

After the 5.1.1 update u changed something in the dialer so when you press any number or contact it call immediately. Have the option to remove it plz bcz sometimes when the phon is in my pocket it Calls people randomly.

Just got a replacement N5 and I'm using the native email app (as I was on my previous N5), with gmail syncing turned on. The problem is when I delete an email on my phone, it's not deleting it from the Gmail server (it's still there if I check email on my PC). Some setting on the phone or in Gmail on the PC that I'm forgetting about?

i have a problem by adding/editing new contact, after i added/edited the contact, it will shown on top of all my contact list, and i can't scroll the letter before the alphabet i added/edited.For example: i added James into my new contact list, it will appear on top of all my contacts with the alphabet J, then i can't scroll down using the scroll bar beside to search for the contacts name with alphabet before J like i want to search Benjamin using scroll bar but i can't, if i want to search someone name with alpahbet after J is fine, what's wrong with my phone?

When I tell iTunes' iPad or iPhone to install a new app sometimes there isn't room. When I tell it, OK, don't install, I still get the error - there isn't enough room to think it is uninstalled.  The error stays there every time it syncs. I turn off sync music, sync, then turn on sync music - and that takes hours. (and stops when my Mac goes asleep).Â
I figured that was a bug in IOS, but if so, it has been a bug for years.  Right now my phone has 923.9 MB free, and the app that caused this problem says it has 777 MB, so it shouldn't have had that problem this time.I have 2.27 GB of "Other" and 3.39 GB of songs (not nearly the songs I have in iTunes).   My grandchildren were playing a new game on my iPad, and wanted to play a copy on my iPhone as well.

I just got my 4s and I am new to apple products. My iphone resontaly started to delete some of my contacts and keep others. Everyday I readd my contacts and they soon delete again. I dont know if it has something to do with my icloud or itunes or what?

I usually have my whole iPhone (4S) synced on my iMac desktop. I decided to sign into my iTunes account on my MacBook. I bought the movie Alice in Wonderland and it successfully downloaded to the MacBook. I tried to sync my phones info to the MacBook too but everytime I check off the box to sync movies it says "Are you sure you want to sync movies (apps, contacts, ibooks etc)? All existing movies and their data on "First Name Last Name's" libray will be replaced with movies on this library." This is a problem because there is no movies other than Alice in Wonderland on my MacBook's iTunes library. So, how can I get this darn movie onto my iPhone 4S w/o deleting anything current on my iPhone!?
