View 1 RepliesI just got a new blackberry tour and I'm having a heck of a time moving new apps that I downloaded to my homepage. I downloaded three apps and was able to move them to the homepage with no problem by clicking the blackberry button and selecting "move to home". That is very clear and I understand the concept.
But for some reason I can't move any other apps. I can't move my facebook app because there is no option to "move to homepage" or "move". Pandora and all of these apps are located in My world in the Black Berry app world.Can anyone help me? maybe I'm missing something simple.
haven't seen any news about it but I just downloaded blackberry appworld 1.1.0.33.

It takes like 2 minutes to authenticate my sign in info and it says it can't do it and has to close app world because an error occured. AND I can't update app world or even connect my blackberry to my computer because I can't download/install the desktop manager.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI would just like to first say I checked out the similar topics generated before I posted this and also attempted a few searches.I'm a new Blackberry user with my first device as the Verizon Storm 2. I love having a Blackberry, it makes everything a lot easier. I don't think I would buy any other phone besides a Blackberry now after owning this one.
I do have one problem that I can't seem to solve even after searching both this site and Google. None of the solutions seem to be working.
I have two apps from App World, Fingerprint Scanner & Pattern Lock, both that have Upgrades Available. For the life of me however I can't seem to get them to update. The most common error I get when trying is "app name is not available for download from App World". Which I have checked and they are available in App World. I also get "General Socket Error" a lot.
I have tried doing numerous battery pulls. I have tried with both Wi-Fi on and off at home. I have tried other Wi-Fi like at restaurants. I have tried doing device resets from MeterBerry. I have tried re-installing App World once with no luck. I'm not sure what else there is to try?
I'm running a Verizon Wireless Blackberry Storm 2 with the OS it shipped on (.320). I have not tried any of the updated OS. Would that fix this and how simple of a task is that for a new(3-4 month old) Blackberry user? Are there any other suggestions?
I just updated to the latest BB OS for my Sprint Tour and my Memo and Tasks applications have disappeared. The applications are not hidden nor did another wipe and install of the OS help either. I quickly looked at the files in the Core applications list and did not see the memo or tasks app there.

Thankfully I was able to find most of the apps I downloaded in the download folder, but one of them reset and I don't have the activation code or the record that I bought that particular app since my world has no record of it.

A while back I updated my phone. So I backed up and restored my applications so I didn't lose the few I paid for. The other day I got a notification for an update for one of the applications I downloaded after the update. That got me thinking - since none of my other apps are in the "My World" section of the App World, I haven't been - and won't be - getting any updates for those applications. Is there any way I can add those applications to "My World" so I can get notifications for updates and stuff?

I have looked in the downloads folder, the apps folder, and every other folder I have on my phone just for GP for that matter but can not find the BB App World Icon. Under the Apps it says that it is installed. I have removed and reinstalled several times and done a battery pull VS a restart more than 10 times. The only thing I have not done is format the phone.

I tried already restarting my device and enabled content protection still this one occurs. I also already checked my USB and it is not broken because every time I connect my phone via usb on my laptop I can use my blackberry desktop.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Tour is 3 months old. Suddenly calls are dropping in the house and the battery charger is taking 10 hours to charge the spare OEM battery. Running the 5.0.419 and it's been fine. Verizon came out with theirs and it's so bad I went back to 419. Now I have an email from RIM saying new software for the phone is available but it doesn't say what version it is so I'm afraid to load it. Any one else have same issue? Phone was fine after going to the first 5.0 for 2 months but now after having changed from Verizon's 5.0. (been a month or so) the issues started about a week ago.
