I just updated to the latest BB OS for my Sprint Tour and my Memo and Tasks applications have disappeared. The applications are not hidden nor did another wipe and install of the OS help either. I quickly looked at the files in the Core applications list and did not see the memo or tasks app there.

It backed up and restored most of my data correctly except for my MemoPad and 3rd party applications. When I go to the app loader it only lists the 3rd party apps and not the MemoPad or any other apps on my phone. Anyone have a suggestion?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Tour used. I havent activated it yet but through my laptop I installed all my info (contacts etc..) through the desktop manager. The service provider is Sprint. I have noticed that there are some apps/icons missing from the menu. Most importantly there is no web/internet icon/app and no BlackBerry app world icon/app. There are also others missing, Pandora, Sprint Nav, Sprint TV and a few others. These I am pretty sure I can download for free, but what about the web and app world? Why are they missing? Is it because the phone is not activated yet?

What has happened is that I have lost my memo pad completely.and I have tried everything mentioned by anyone on the various sites.I tried the app loader, but the memo pad application does not show up.I tried showing all apps and looked in each folder, but it is not there,Checked in the applications list on the phone and its not there ,even did the "press the D button" after changing the call from home screen thing.the memo pad is so very important for me and I really want to get it installed asap

View 1 Replies View Relatedmy phone tried to upgrade to 5.0 OTA today and it got all messed up. Long story short, it auto reverted back to 4.7, but a bunch of my settings were changed, and the very annoying problem of my BBM Group calendar being my default returned, so I decided to wipe the handheld entirely. Before I did so, I created a backup file using Desktop Manager in case anything went wrong.
So I wiped the phone, upgraded to 5.0 via DM, and then re-configured all my settings, 3rd party apps, etc. The only things I am missing now are my memos and task list items, which are contained in the aforementioned backup file. I'm afraid to do a complete restore on my phone using this file because some settings I don't want may get restored...so is there a way to just restore the memo and task list data contained in the backup file to my phone? I messed around w/ DM a little bit and wasn't able to figure it out, but then again I don't use DM too often, so I'm hoping you guys know something I don't.
I have a brand new Blackberry Bold 9700 - just started it up. I set up synchronization with Outlook and everything went smoothly. The Device Manager log shows that Memo Pad data was transferred to the device. But I cannot find the Memo Pad Icon (or the Task icon or the Search Icon...). I've looked everywhere. From reading other posts, it appears that I may have to reinstall the device operating system. Is that the case? If so, it's pretty discouraging to have to do this with a brand new BB.

The software prompted me to change the settings to MTP, after I changed, my Mac couldn't detect the phone. After I disconnected the phone, I found that many of my Apps went missing. Went to Google Play store to reinstall the apps, only to get the message "App cannot be installed in default location". My phone memory storage has been really low lately, about 30Mb left, and I haven't installed any new apps. I have moved most of the apps to my SD card, not sure what has happened.

For example, if you highlight the Games folder and press the Blackberry options, one Tour can choose "edit folder" and pick a new Icon. The other Tour mine is missing that choice. Any fix? If I create my own folder, I have the feature, but not for my Games, Applications and other folder that were there in the old OS.

View 10 Replies View RelatedMy Tour is 3 months old. Suddenly calls are dropping in the house and the battery charger is taking 10 hours to charge the spare OEM battery. Running the 5.0.419 and it's been fine. Verizon came out with theirs and it's so bad I went back to 419. Now I have an email from RIM saying new software for the phone is available but it doesn't say what version it is so I'm afraid to load it. Any one else have same issue? Phone was fine after going to the first 5.0 for 2 months but now after having changed from Verizon's 5.0. (been a month or so) the issues started about a week ago.

I have looked in the downloads folder, the apps folder, and every other folder I have on my phone just for GP for that matter but can not find the BB App World Icon. Under the Apps it says that it is installed. I have removed and reinstalled several times and done a battery pull VS a restart more than 10 times. The only thing I have not done is format the phone.

Looks like there is 2 of the folders and missing one. How can I set up Blackberry Desktop to sync with one of the missing folders and just get the contacts that that folder or "sync" description?I guess I need to know where and how to find the one folder as well.I do not know if folder is right term. On my contacts the top says "Synchronize Using: Unknown" or Synchronize Using: Desktop". I know there was a third and can not remember the heading.I just need those contacts in that sync.Hopefully I am communicating this correctly.
