I updated my Blackberry Tour 9630 today via the BB Desktop Manager for Macs. It backed up and restored most of my data correctly except for my MemoPad and 3rd party applications. When I go to the app loader it only lists the 3rd party apps and not the MemoPad or any other apps on my phone. Anyone have a suggestion?

The applications are not hidden nor did another wipe and install of the OS help either. I quickly looked at the files in the Core applications list and did not see the memo or tasks app there. Anyone have any idea how I can download the apps?

View 8 Replies View RelatedAfter I installed the new operating system I lost a feature. Both my husband and I have the Tour. For example, if you highlight the Games folder and press the Blackberry options, one Tour can choose "edit folder" and pick a new Icon. The other Tour mine is missing that choice. Any fix? If I create my own folder, I have the feature, but not for my Games, Applications and other folder that were there in the old OS.

My brother texted me with a new phone number he is now using so I hit options in the test message and then the only thing is "add to contacts" so I choose that but it is a brand new contact.Why cant I choose to update a contact?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI had the sotweare problem that everyone has been having lastley yesterday an i couldt fix it in anyway and today i was like wat the heck let me give it another try to i plug my phone in the computer open desktop manager (5.0) an i pressed aplication loader and update softwear an it had some new 5.0 (i already was using 5.0) so i clicked on it and it reset my phone and now it works perfect but im missing my browser.

I have looked in the downloads folder, the apps folder, and every other folder I have on my phone just for GP for that matter but can not find the BB App World Icon. Under the Apps it says that it is installed. I have removed and reinstalled several times and done a battery pull VS a restart more than 10 times. The only thing I have not done is format the phone.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Tour used. I havent activated it yet but through my laptop I installed all my info (contacts etc..) through the desktop manager. The service provider is Sprint. I have noticed that there are some apps/icons missing from the menu. Most importantly there is no web/internet icon/app and no BlackBerry app world icon/app. There are also others missing, Pandora, Sprint Nav, Sprint TV and a few others. These I am pretty sure I can download for free, but what about the web and app world? Why are they missing? Is it because the phone is not activated yet?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Tour & did an OS upgrade through Wireless Update. I had 3 folders in Contacts(top of each contact had three different sync references). Looks like there is 2 of the folders and missing one. How can I set up Blackberry Desktop to sync with one of the missing folders and just get the contacts that that folder or "sync" description?I guess I need to know where and how to find the one folder as well.I do not know if folder is right term. On my contacts the top says "Synchronize Using: Unknown" or Synchronize Using: Desktop". I know there was a third and can not remember the heading.I just need those contacts in that sync.Hopefully I am communicating this correctly.

What has happened is that I have lost my memo pad completely.and I have tried everything mentioned by anyone on the various sites.I tried the app loader, but the memo pad application does not show up.I tried showing all apps and looked in each folder, but it is not there,Checked in the applications list on the phone and its not there ,even did the "press the D button" after changing the call from home screen thing.the memo pad is so very important for me and I really want to get it installed asap

I changed the housing in my Tour to make it white but the trackball doesn't sit right and i have a problem scrolling down. The Device Manager log shows that Memo Pad data was transferred to the device. But I cannot find the Memo Pad Icon (or the Task icon or the Search Icon...). I've looked everywhere. From reading other posts, it appears that I may have to reinstall the device operating system. Is that the case? If so, it's pretty discouraging to have to do this with a brand new BB.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've developed a problem with my 9630 (carrier: Sprint) recently. I won't receive emails on it for quite a while, but once I open my Internet browser, all of the emails I received since the last time I opened it will come through at once. If I check my messages, they're all listed as coming through at the same time, but inside the email, they're datestamped at the actual time they were sent.
Any ideas as to what it could be? I haven't changed any settings recently, the problem started independent of anything else, from what I can tell. It seems like a problem with my phone not checking for new emails until it uses data services (internet browser).
Is this possible if so how?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've researched my problem on other posts, and still not completely sure if my problem is unique or not.I have an unlocked Sprint 9630 I grabbed from our IT department before a trip to Turkey. It was supposedly deactivated - turns out it is still active on a Sprint number.
I've replaced the Sprint SIM with an Avea Turkish prepaid SIM that has data and Blackberry capability. It works fine for phone and text, but no ability to register the email with Avea Blackberry. Tech support there unable to determine the problem (unable to connect to server is the error message, both with phone and online).If I can deactive the Sprint number will that help? Or am I just out of luck.
I have an issue with my BB Tour.When I woke up this mourning and took my bb off the charger.I notice there were HLhlhlhlhlhlhlhlhhlhl type on my bb so I tried to press the esc button and the end button and it didn't work. So I did a Battery pull and let it load up...and that when i found out that my trackball wasn't working.then all a sudden it started to type the HLlhlhlhlhlhlhhlhlh again.So I did a another battery pull and it did it again.So I wiped the phone decided to install 5.0 on my phone and I get the same thing.The only thing I did before my phone went hay wire was a couple days prior.I downloaded a couple free themes and screen saver from BB App World.I thought by doing the battery pull and wipe I would fix it but didn't. I know I didn't get my phone wet or anything can anybody explain this?
View 13 Replies View RelatedThis is my third Tour (I just got this one a week ago) and with it sitting in my pocket where I have service, not running ANY applications, it is running hot and draining battery very quickly. Did a battery pull, double checked memory leaks, and nothing is taking care of it. It's draining at about 15% per hour. Any thoughts (other than Tours suck.)
