A few days ago i wasnt able to use any data apps such as BBM, Facebook etc...then I wasn't able to use my browser, even though it says im connected to the internet and I have a full signal.I've backed up my BB and did a security wipe and restored it, but it's still not working, and now i cant get activate my email account either! My BIS is not connected...I assume thats a major problem, and Rogers said they can do nothing about this (because my phone is not a Rogers phone, and has been unlocked, and I dont know who the previous provider was)
i cant connect and get this message= Unable to connect to the internet.try again later. If the problem persists ,contact your service provider the opera browser has no problem.
how to set up the opera browser as priority browser [eg.when i ask questions form the help icon, it redicrects automatocally to the bb browser, how to get the opea isntead]
When I had my 8310 curve there were a crapload of options in the brower settings and one of them was to select which type of brower it viewed the webpage as, (blackberry, IE, etc.)
anyways, I'd like to know if this option still exists, because I'm trying to access a mobile website but its coming up as the full website. When I tried putting an m. in front of the website it didnt work so I'm not sure how to access it.
Service provider say I have access to internet - I was receiving mails and BBM for a while but have now lost that as well! When connected to desktop software, it says the Browser needs to be installed,....but how to do it?I have looked under options - advanced options - HRT which list a lot of GPRS numbers, and SErvice book has ticks by various things such as Facebook (browser Config) etc?
I am unable to access my browser and get the following message "Unable to connect to the selected Mobile Data Service, please try again later.
If the Problem persists please contact your administrator." I have pull the battery out for 1min and rebooted. Resent service books.
and gone into Options -->advanced system setting --> host routing Table --> enter --> register. I received the email through from blackberry, went back into the browser and I still get the above message.
p.s the problem has occurred since RIM went down last week?
I AM USING BB BOLD 2 AND NOW I AM FACING THE PROBLEM THAT I AM NOT ABLE TO OPERATE THE BROWSER. I AM USING WIFI AND BY THIS WEB SITES ARE OPENING BUT I AM NOT ABLE TO WORK IN SITE.LIKE NO ONE PAGE IS OPEN BY CLICKING ANY OPTION IN THE WHOLE SITE. 2 DAYS BEFORE ITS WORKING PERFECTLY. I HOPE THE IS APROBLEM IN SETTING.
I bought a blackberry curve 8520 today and have spent most of the day trying to set up the browser, I currently use O2 as my service provider. I've requested settings from 02 but it sends me a text saying something like we are unable to send settings. Can someone here please help me set up my browser, I've been at it pretty much all day and I'm getting quite annoyed now.
I was able to surf the internet using my torch browser 2 days ago but not today and yestersday. It seems that whenever I select the browser my torch goes "hang".
i have a blackberry torch that was working good ish till a few days ago. now when i open the web browser or click on 'apps' that just open the web browser to a certain page, i see
finance: today in europe thursday, 856 pm ___________ ( yep blank ) thursday 754pm
[code]....
not just on finance pages, but on all pages, random story titles or information are just missing. lets say i log into yahoo mail on my browser, the persons name will only show for a random one of the 25 mails on the page. the rest its click ?too much of the content on the browser is just being blanked out and not showing up. i cant seem to find any updates for the browser. i have tried rebooting.blackberry torch - att 3g type.
i have recently activated the data plan on my phone, and now i am still not able to set up the connection so i can use it on the go. when i'm connected to home wi-fi i can use the browser but not other apps like windows msger, and when i'm out even though i do have a data plan on my phone i'm not able to use the browser, or anything. i can't set up email either because the error msg keeps showing up saying i don't have the right configurations/failed to connect to server.
I have been able to get into the internet without any problem, but I find that I can only type the domain (www.....) - it does not let me type any other information. So I cannot write things, post or access mail, for example, because that requires you to actually type things. All this browser lets me do is hover over the box where you type things in, but not actually type anything on it.
Did I see that right? If so that sux. There are a lot of times I want to see the full version of websites not the web version.Maybe I am just stupid and didn't understand what I saw or how it works, but on my 9000 I can change the browser identification to say Firefox and get the full web page to load.
I was running a few tests to see check speed of my browser on my home network over ATT. When I disable the Mobile Network and enable wifi to my home network, I get an error in my browser "You are not currently in an area that can handle data communication".
I connected successfully to my home network as shown by status on top of home screen. Is there another setting I need to select to 'force" use of my home network? I used to have this in my BOLD settings under browser options, but from what I read the connection switch is supposed to happen automatically on the Torch browser.
Every few days the browser will stop working properly. It only displays the page partially.....some words are just simply gone and some hyperlinks are just displayed as a line. It happens on multiple websites. I have been to the ATT store several times and they have checked all of the settings and reset the device. All cache and cookies have been cleared. I have also spoken with support on the phone and they had me delete some service books and they resent them. The only way I can correct the issue is to pull the battery, but it just happens a few days later.
Torch 9800. Browser won't open. Also if I select a hyperlink, the browser won't open either. I have tried rebooting the device but did not have any luck.
I just got my BB yesterday. It's the first one that I've had.So far, I'm not really impressed with it. I'm already having problems. I can't open my web browser. I know when I tried to open Slacker Radio the device said I didn't have enough battery power. But now I have it charging and I still can't open the browser
I'm having problem with my BB 9860. It appears that my phone is connected to Wifi but when I tried to use the Browser and other apps, it's says "Unable to Connect on the Internet".
My Blackberry Torch cannot connect to the internet browser today. I am in Ajax which is just east of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The e-mail and maps work, but not the internet. I am on a regular monthly plan and don't believe that I have changed any settings.
The button for the browser randomly dissappreared from my phone a few weeks ago. I can still access the net by typing in generic words it allows me to search through google and then I can type in the web address I want to go however I cant access the browser any other way.
I have a BlackBerry Torch 9800 and recently I've been having a problem with words on the browser screen not showing up. I haven't changed any settings or downloaded any programs that I can think of which would have caused the problem. It mostly effects words that have a hyperlink, but some pages don't have any type showing at all.
I have had a BB for many years, all kinds of models and styles. I recently got the Torch when I changed carriers. Before when I would google a business or look at a website it would detect phone numbers and let me dial them. Now I have to write the number down or memorize it which is a pain. I have searched and read all the threads on this and people say to make a link <> but that seems pretty rediculous just to make calls. Then people say its the website and its not hyperlinked but if I use by buddies BB on the same site he can dial the numbers. IS there any fix for this or app that aloows me to do this.
Every time I go to Google News and click on a news item and then press the Back button, I am taken to a Google news page cached a week ago. If I refresh the page, I get the latest news page, but browsing to a news item and then attempting to return to the home page takes me back to the old cached page. The only way to clear cache is to delete the History in the browser settings and I have done this several times but to no avail. I am unable to understand why the old news page keeps coming up.
I am running 5.0.0.411. My browser says unable to connect to the internet please try again later. If issue persists please contact your service provider. I have a bis connection andd full service. Email andd viigo both work.
I have a blackberry bold 9900 and trying to use my home wifi connection. However, when i connect to my home wifi i cannot go to internet,BB app world and emails.
The device request to open data service to navigate on internet. how i do use wifi connection for internet and emails without using my data network.
I am getting the "unable to connect to the internet" error when i launch the BB browser. I have read quite a few threads and havent seen an answer for my issue.
The odd thing is if i use the Media Net (AT&T browser)....i can connect to the internet. Is there a way to "re-install" the black berry browser? Also my Facebook app give me a "can not connect error" as well
PS this all started after i recieved some "verify this certificate" notices.
My web browser works perfectly fine. But none of the applications that access the internet - such as gmail, facebook, market, etc. work. They show a "connectivity error" kind of message. am led to think whether there is some global setting that these applications use, which doesn't allow them to access the internet settings somehow?I did a factory reset, I also used the Sony Ericsson update service and did an upgrade to Android 2.1...
