Aug 23, 2010When I had my 8310 curve there were a crapload of options in the brower settings and one of them was to select which type of brower it viewed the webpage as, (blackberry, IE, etc.)
anyways, I'd like to know if this option still exists, because I'm trying to access a mobile website but its coming up as the full website. When I tried putting an m. in front of the website it didnt work so I'm not sure how to access it.

Mar 17, 2011I've been a blackberry user for almost 2 months now and I've been able to surf the internet with,no problem using the blackberry browser. I've been accessing my email through the browser because I don't use blackberry enterprise server. But for the past month, whenever I try to access websites where I need to log in e.g. gmail, yahoomail, etc., the browser always says "your browser's cookie functionality is turned off. Please turn it on."
I already tried the advice given by different users like:
1.) Turning off the blackberry phone, removing the battery and reinserting it.
2.) Changing the blackberry default browser configuration from blackberry to internet explorer to firefox
3.) Changing the browser settings into hotspot browser in the Options icon. i.e. Open < Options > go to < Browser > then change the default configuration to < Hotspot Browser >. In this case, I can access my email when I use the wifi available in the area but not when I use the Blackberry browser using my mobile service provider's internet service.

I've installed several of these on this phone, and none of them work. They freeze at whatever the battery level is at bootup.Installed Juice Defender. It's in "Balanced" mode, which is supposed to disconnect data flow when the screen is off. I hope it's working. On the JD setup screen, I tried to change to Customize, but the "Confirm" button doesn't respond. It appears to be working normally, though.Sometimes, the "bars" are turned off, until I make a call. Then when I dial, they suddenly light up.When I look at the battery activity, it shows "Browser" as using 19%! That's an awful lot, considering that it's not open. lets say i log into yahoo mail on my browser, the persons name will only show for a random one of the 25 mails on the page. the rest its click ?too much of the content on the browser is just being blanked out and not showing up. i cant seem to find any updates for the browser. i have tried rebooting.blackberry torch - att 3g type.

Jun 14, 2011i have recently activated the data plan on my phone, and now i am still not able to set up the connection so i can use it on the go. when i'm connected to home wi-fi i can use the browser but not other apps like windows msger, and when i'm out even though i do have a data plan on my phone i'm not able to use the browser, or anything. i can't set up email either because the error msg keeps showing up saying i don't have the right configurations/failed to connect to server.

Aug 28, 2010I was running a few tests to see check speed of my browser on my home network over ATT. When I disable the Mobile Network and enable wifi to my home network, I get an error in my browser "You are not currently in an area that can handle data communication".
I connected successfully to my home network as shown by status on top of home screen. Is there another setting I need to select to 'force" use of my home network? I used to have this in my BOLD settings under browser options, but from what I read the connection switch is supposed to happen automatically on the Torch browser.
