View 2 RepliesIn March I was asked to validate my credentials, so I clicked on the link and it took me through to the Verify Blackberry ID page.I changed my email address as I had just got married. However it defaults to my old email address. I change it to my new email address and password but it says 'unable to log in at this time' I can log on through the PC as my new email address and password. It doesnt even recongise my old email address - but always defaults to it on the verify page.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to add my gmail to my blackberry device all to no avail. Each time I enter my email and password, I received this error message "update failed". I was able to add my Yahoo Mail and is working fine. The problem is that, whether I enter the correct or wrong password, what I get is "update failed".
Under the instant mail account, yahoo logo display well, windows live and other email service providers also display well, but Gmail logo is not displaying the logo. Am using 2-steps verification for my Gmail and I have generated application specific password, but still having the same problem.
I can only see the Gmail account in my calendar. I want to add other accounts in my clendar and use them. When I got to the calendar options I can only see the default one as my gmail and have no options to change it. I specially wanted to add the face book calendar but none of the other accounts are visible. get the other accounts to my calendar.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a good Gmail account with lots of contacts and calendar entries. My device had been synched with this account until this morning when I did a restore from a date prior to having set up the gmail account. I added the gmail account back to the Torch after the restore, and the mail is functioning fine. But the contacts and calendar are not synching between the Torch and the gmail account.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had just about every Galaxy flagship phone in the Samsung series and am certainly not a stranger on setting up accounts.I have 2 hotmail.com email accounts, a business and personal. I tried setting up my personal entering details correctly and I get "authentication failed" ... I jump on a PC and CONFIRM the password I used was indeed correct. I tried setting up the account manually (POP3) which wasn't a problem, however the device has absolutely no interest trying to connect to my account and sync. It keeps telling me the OP3 server is not responding.
I have tried changing my password on the PC to something else. I then re-attempted the email set-up and received the same error...authentication failed. Now, google, gmail, yahoo, aol accounts (etc) ALL work fine. I decided to try the OTHER hotmail account...enter the details and BOOM. It worked. The device is running stock ROM and is rooted (problem also existed before root)
While trying to setup Gmail inside Email Accounts, I got error message:"Activation request failed. A service connection is unavailable."I am very much sure that my username and password is correct, every time I got the same message. And even I downloaded the Gmail app from [URL] the version is 2.0.6, but it is also not working. It starts and stuck on the loading screen. My wifi connection working fine.

My Photon 4 G does not sync calendar, contact, Gmail with my company Gmail account. I believe that it just stopped syncing last week and I believe that it was following a Motorola update, but cannot say for sure. Under Data Delivery, both Background Data and Data enabled are checked green. However, this is interesting because Email and corporate sync is grayed out on that screen. When I go to Account, checking the sync options is not possible, but I can do a manual sync. Please note, at one time, these options to sync Contacts, Gmail and Calendar were available. I've pulled the batter. I really do not want to reset to factory default. Suggestions? (Please note this is a company Gmail account, not just regular Gmail.)
View 7 Replies View RelatedI don't know if my thread title makes sense but basically what I would like to know is what are the advantages of downloading the Gmail app vs just setting up a Gmail account through my BIS (Email Settings/Add Account)? My main objective here is wireless contacts sync. I have read a lot of negative feedback regarding Gmail on a BlackBerry but I will not really even be using this for email all to often, although I will from time to time.
What I have done is just added my new Gmail account through the native BlackBerry email setup and then downloaded Google Sync. I downloaded the Gmail app but I didn't really like the UI and I like to have all 3 of my email accounts go into the same folder.
every time i try to download something from my web browser i get that same error '909 application authentication error' and this has been going on over a month now..
View 2 Replies View Relatedso, yesterday afternoon, i factory reset my dx2. i suddenly started having issues while walking through setup. original ota gb, no hacks, no roots.i was able to successfully set up my google account, opt to skip verizon backup, & then it gives me a connectivity error w/ (3) options of "retry", "setup wifi", & "skip". the setup skips the screen to set up my various 3rd party accounts such as Internet, facebook, yahoo, picasa, etc. when attempting to setup my accounts via "settings" afterward, it only lists (6) of the typical 12-15 options.this just started yesterday for me & did not occur on the previous 5 factory resets performed over the last week.
the error screen presented during setup after electing to skip backup assistant states something about "connectivity is required to complete setup", giving me (3) options. "retry", "setup wifi", & "skip". "retry" & "setup wifi" are still unsuccessful. selecting "skip" bypasses the ability to set up accounts.additionally, once on the home profile, "system update" states that a "motorola service account is required", giving me the same options as during setup. "retry", "setup wifi", & "skip". and trying to "add accounts" via "settings" only displays (6) available types, half of which give intermittent crazy errors about "problems with my clock on this device." or "timed out" & "your account may not be successfully setup".
My iPhone 4s asks me to 'Enter the password for the Yahoo! account..." about 3 times an hour. It clearly doesn't need the password, because I never enter it; I just hit Cancel, and I get all my Yahoo! emails.Â

I have a blackberry curve the 8500 series. And I use it for just about everything. The only problem I have is that I cant view my bank account on the browser. I am can get to the loggin screen and after I put my info in and press ok it goes to a white screen and says at the top "dual authentication".
The phone is not frozen it just wont load up my bank account. I know my bank account works on mobile devices because before I got my bb I had a phone that it worked on and my boyfriends phone lets me do it too. I know a bb can do just about everything so I am guessing there is a setting I have to change.
After getting my first Blackberry (Bold 9780) I wanted to set it up with my GMail account. So far, quite easy. My mails came through fine for a few hours. However, I soon received an error email from Blackberry error message "Action Required: Validate Password". Validate your ***@googlemail.com password. Hmm, a little worrying but no problem to re-enter the password...Messages - Menu (Blackberry logo) - Options - Email Account Management - Select Account - Validate - ContinueAnyway, so it went on. Error message - password validation - functioning for a while - error message. This got old pretty quickly. So, after plenty of hair-tearing over a couple of days I came across a piece of information on the GMail Go to Google Accounts "DisplayAccountCaptcha" link, below. Enter your account details and the distorted letters and this problem was solved. I am not sure how it works but it does.
View 7 Replies View RelatedSo everyday I go through a dead zone with my phone, and everytime I go through this dead zone, I have to reboot my phone after because it prevents me from being able to use the internet or bbm. In bbm it makes an eternal red clock (even after I fix it the messages I wrote before rebooting never send) and the internet will not load anything (nor facebook). So what I do everyday is pull out the battery to do a full reboot.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm traveling to London, England this upcoming week and purchased a Power Converter/ Adapter with a USB port. When I plugged the Blackberry into the USB, it said the charging device doesn't have enough power to charge the Blackberry. It says the USB output is 5VDC, 1 A max.How much power is required to charge the Blackberry and do you have any recommendations for power converters/adapters that are compatible with the Torch?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've had my Torch for 2-3 weeks now. I do not remember ever seeing the twitter app pre installed. I certainly don't remember deleting it. When I go to twitter to download the blackberry app it gives me a notice."Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support Twitter for BlackBerry Smartphones."
I don't use twitter that much, but would like it installed in case I do. It's really not my main concern, my main concern is that this is a bigger issue that I need to get resolved before I'm stuck with a phone that doesn't work like it's supposed to and won't be able to run other apps. Any ideas? I'm still running the original OS.
I tried to delete a gmail account from my g3. The process sent me to the web & it seemed to work, but seemed not to be completed on the phone, as the account is still there in accounts but highlighted in red with a "!" beside it.

View 13 Replies View RelatedFor the past two or three day my X10a (2.1) had continually been trying to sync to my Gmail account. I can turn auto-sync or the data off to make it stop, but once turned back out it starts up again. I have deleted most of my newer mail in case there was something bad included with the mail. Not sure what my next step would be. With the phone trying to sync all the time make it slow to respond to commands.
