I have a Torch 9800 and recently have been unable to view camera thumbnails. S6.Have attempted soft restart, hard restart, removal of the media card, also have attempted to allow thumbnails to load for over 5 minutes.

I recently did the update to version 2.3 and now my phone is slow. Lots of lag, and I cant seem to find the thumbnails of all my photos in the camera? Is it gone or hidden somewhere?
View 1 Replies View RelatedStrange picture behavior: When viewing the list of pictures (on media card), the thumbnails are generally visible. However, with some recent pix, there's no visible thumbnail. At first, it looked like there simply was no thumbnail, but I see that by moving to where the thumbnail is, it's outlined in blue (but the thumbnail is all black). Clicking on that all black thumbnail opens up the picture, which looks just fine. This has occurred for about ten pictures. I copied those pictures onto my computer, and thumbnails are visible there. I transferred the pix back from my computer to the BB, and those same pix still have an all-black thumbnail (but visible picture when opened).

I recently updated my phone to 5.1 and now the lock screen displays the camera permanently but doesn't work? Has anyone else experienced this? More importantly is there a way of rectifying it? View 3 Replies View RelatedSo everyday I go through a dead zone with my phone, and everytime I go through this dead zone, I have to reboot my phone after because it prevents me from being able to use the internet or bbm. In bbm it makes an eternal red clock (even after I fix it the messages I wrote before rebooting never send) and the internet will not load anything (nor facebook). So what I do everyday is pull out the battery to do a full reboot.

However it defaults to my old email address. I change it to my new email address and password but it says 'unable to log in at this time' I can log on through the PC as my new email address and password. When I look afterwards in the received calls call history, the name is there again.It is not all the time, one hour later the name might be mentioned again. A very annoying problem.This problem occurs at the sames time with the problem that I have connecting via Bluetooth with my car. The call history is not shown properly. When I go to twitter to download the blackberry app it gives me a notice."Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support Twitter for BlackBerry Smartphones."
I don't use twitter that much, but would like it installed in case I do. It's really not my main concern, my main concern is that this is a bigger issue that I need to get resolved before I'm stuck with a phone that doesn't work like it's supposed to and won't be able to run other apps. Any ideas? I'm still running the original OS.
i had a torch 9810 previously and it was stolen so i bought a new torch 2 but this time it was having some american company's symbol on it. I upgraded it to the next firmware and downloaded blackberry protect but the problem is my phone isn't being displayed on the blackberry protect website even after 10 backups.

Once I transfer them to the PC, I cannot zoom in on them at all as they lose all clarity completely. I can only imagine that the problem is the phone somehow saving the pics as thumnails rather than as they used to save.The pics used to store in DCIM/100media.They now appear to save in DCIM/thumbnails.

I do not have a memory card in the phone and there is no pictures on and only 9 songs so it cannot be the memory that is causing this problem.When I take a picture it shows at the bottom of the screen but it does not save to the phone as well as when I bluetooth music it downloads and shows download complete but when I check the music folder it does'nt appear.I have tried inserting a memory card but the items on the memory card does not appear on the phone.

You can change the folder icon, BUT, it still shows the app thumbnails on top of that. What I'd like to do is have folder icons and no thumbnails, so that you can essentially get the same result as you would using the Categories app (being able to pick your own folder icon), except without the hassle of using a now-obsolete functionality. So, in essence, let's say you have an icon of a game controller/joystick. I want that to be my icon for my "games" folder. I keep the stylish icon with no thumbnails, but when I tap it, it opens up like a regular folder.
I assume that this would involve changing the way folders function within Springboard itself (not as simple as replacing a few files here and there). Have any developers made an add-on that disables folder thumbnails, or does anyone here know how one would go about doing that?
I am also having issues with the phone! Since I updated my software 2 weeks ago my app world stopped working and now I cannot download it after deleting it. About a month ago when downloading mp3's it all of a sudden started having format issues even though the music is in the supported format. My photos that were taken with the camera turned to thumbnails that cannot be opened and that is why I decided to update the software in the first place. Since the new software update I now also have a java.lang.error when ever I reboot the phone. I have deleted all third party apps and the error persists. Is any of this indicative of a corrupt media card??

View 5 Replies View RelatedPerhaps i'm preaching to the converted,but since hi-res images do not show up as thumbnails,just as DNG files when looking at the files on the phone, using windows explorer,i decided to copy all the hi-res images to a new folder on the computer.On looking at the new folder in explorer, thumbnails where being shown, but with strange purple and green casts.I then decided to run all the images through Adobes DNG convertor,and lo and behold all the images where now normal,and easily viewable.

(I dont like that the back button doesnt close apps so I always use the menu button when I finish using something. However there are some apps that have a dedicated exit button. What bugs me is that even though I use the exit button, the thumbnails are still present in the menu. Did I change something, because I think the exit used to work properly in UC browser before? I mean if my memory serves me right the exit button seemed to bypass this problem before, so I didnt have to close the tabs in the menu. But now im just left confused.
Even if I end all active applications in the task manager, the thumbnail tabs remain in the menu. soo...is this normal?

View 5 Replies View Relatedafter a year (or more) without a lot of my thumbnails, I finally figured out how to restore them.I'm not sure when, or how they got corrupted, but for the longest time, I haven't had all my thumbnails working on my phone. They would regenerate (slowly) at runtime, which made browsing painful at best.Searching online gave me mixed results of things that didn't work.Finally, this seemed to work for me:At your home screen, press the options menu button then press "Manage Apps" Then select "All" Scroll down to "Media Storage" and select it Click "Clear Data" I then went into "Gallery" app, which showed NO photos, and NO albums! OUCH! Don't worry, we're not done.I then took one photo with my camera (I'm not sure if this step is needed).Exit the camera and enter the Gallery again. You will see your new photo.Wait a while, your gallery will be rebuilt and all thumbnails are regenerated... it took a few minutes for me.NOTE This procedure will delete any saved albums that you have created. It won't delete the pictures (They will all be there in the "All Photos" and "All Videos" albums, but you will have to recreate any separate albums that you had previously.I can now browse my photos and videos again without having to wait for my thumbnails to be regenerated at run time!After they were all regenerated, I rebooted my phone to be sure they were still there, they were!Now if I could just make up my mind between upgrading to the Razr Maxxx HD, or the S G S3! Tough choice for me, I keep waffling back and forth! ;)
