All of a sudden, Ovi Suite only shows my photos as "grayed out" icons rather than the thumbnail.Not sure what has happened. Anyone see this? Better yet, anyone have a fix?

As the title said, deleted photo's thumbnails appear in my N97's capture gallery. I capture an image or two and when I go to my Photos > Captured I see tumbnails of images I deleted a long time ago. When I open a file I still see an image that was deleted ower a year ago.
Only when I click "edit" do I see the recently captured image that I should have seen in the first place.I tried everything. Restore factory settings, delete everything the phone lets me in explorer... still the problem persists. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Than I restored my files via Ovi Suite... Than I ended up with 1800 broken thumbnails
I've tried formating it- same
I've tried finding the private folder where the cache is-doesn't exist
It has something to do with the phone memory, can't find the cache/thumbnail folder there...
after taking pictures, the thumbnails isn't showing. there is only 1 small unrecognizable icon appearing and when i tick the icon, only blank screen is showing. the settings are either saved in flash media or built in media. what could be the cause of this? i'm on OS7.also sometimes there is an error message java.lang.illegalargumentexception popping. is my phone defective or is it the OS only?

Whenever I use the facebook on the Communities app on my 5800 xpress, it saves all the thumbnails that appear on each page into my gallery.which as you can imagine with hundreds of unwanted tiny pics and no mark multiple function is a pain to say the least!I've tried looking for a setting to turn it off but no luck.anyone got any ideas?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI used the Ovi suite to install the free maps on my E72 which work great but the software itself is very poorly written, too many bugs and problems so i would like to uninstall it and use the PC suite instead. can I now update my phone using the PC suite with it's updater software or do I have to now rely on the Ovi suite.
The reason I ask instead of having two pieces of software is i want to a Vista/XP (two machines) clean install followed by a Ghost DVD so the smaller image the better (plus i dont like to have **bleep** installed on my machine:-)
I am trying to delete photos on my iPhone 5. I select the photos and videos I want deleted, but the trash can in the lower right hand corner is greyed out. How do I get these pictures off my phone? These are all pictures I took with the phone.

I have a Nokia E71, and i was using Nokia PC Suite to sync it with my outlook 2007 it all worked fine, contacts, to do notes and calendar (i wasn't syncing mail cuase i use gmail), untill the new ovi suite came out and i decided to try it since It sounded better.turns out It really sucked this ovi suite!! one of the worst softwares I've ever used, it duplicated all of the appointments that had color categories in outlook 2007, it is dead slow to sync!!!(i mean reeeaaly slow), even tough the Suite integrates more stuff in to one place it has reduced funcionality to sync stuff with my phone, it offers less funtions, not to mention that the user interface sukcs (its poorly desingned, it takes long to accses stuff, it shows me stuff as if it was advertisement).PC suite was very simple but funcional, oviously i went back to pc suite, to my surprise i couldn't sync, pc suite & the phone would do as if they were syncing, but when i checked at the end it wouldn't sync stuff.

View 8 Replies View RelatedHave a N900. Got the phone to work against Smart Suite and later Ovis Suite very well for the first 3 weeks. Then the trouble started. I used it both with USB cable and BTooth. First my synchronization with Lotus Notes calendar stopped (have to go by the PC), then contacts and messages. And today it does not even recognize the phone as a compatible phone. In the whole period I have been installing all kind of applications. My suspicion is that the trouble is due to an installation of a particular application - my question is:Anyone that got an idea what might have caused this?? Hope for help without re-intsalling the machine.

Im trying to sync my phone with outlook 2003 but the sync calender option is greyed out.
i checked the settings and i got sync with outlook selected.i also keep getting errors when trying to sync my contactsi didnt write down the error code but ill try again tomorrow and write it down.

View 4 Replies View Relatedwhen I try save my pics off my HTC One to my PC, they are stored on the phone in a 'thumbnail' folder no. Once I transfer them to the PC, I cannot zoom in on them at all as they lose all clarity completely. I can only imagine that the problem is the phone somehow saving the pics as thumnails rather than as they used to save.The pics used to store in DCIM/100media.They now appear to save in DCIM/thumbnails.

You can change the folder icon, BUT, it still shows the app thumbnails on top of that. What I'd like to do is have folder icons and no thumbnails, so that you can essentially get the same result as you would using the Categories app (being able to pick your own folder icon), except without the hassle of using a now-obsolete functionality. So, in essence, let's say you have an icon of a game controller/joystick. I want that to be my icon for my "games" folder. I keep the stylish icon with no thumbnails, but when I tap it, it opens up like a regular folder.
I assume that this would involve changing the way folders function within Springboard itself (not as simple as replacing a few files here and there). Have any developers made an add-on that disables folder thumbnails, or does anyone here know how one would go about doing that?
I am also having issues with the phone! Since I updated my software 2 weeks ago my app world stopped working and now I cannot download it after deleting it. About a month ago when downloading mp3's it all of a sudden started having format issues even though the music is in the supported format. My photos that were taken with the camera turned to thumbnails that cannot be opened and that is why I decided to update the software in the first place. Since the new software update I now also have a java.lang.error when ever I reboot the phone. I have deleted all third party apps and the error persists. Is any of this indicative of a corrupt media card??

View 5 Replies View RelatedStrange picture behavior: When viewing the list of pictures (on media card), the thumbnails are generally visible. However, with some recent pix, there's no visible thumbnail. At first, it looked like there simply was no thumbnail, but I see that by moving to where the thumbnail is, it's outlined in blue (but the thumbnail is all black). Clicking on that all black thumbnail opens up the picture, which looks just fine. This has occurred for about ten pictures. I copied those pictures onto my computer, and thumbnails are visible there. I transferred the pix back from my computer to the BB, and those same pix still have an all-black thumbnail (but visible picture when opened).
View 5 Replies View RelatedPerhaps i'm preaching to the converted,but since hi-res images do not show up as thumbnails,just as DNG files when looking at the files on the phone, using windows explorer,i decided to copy all the hi-res images to a new folder on the computer.On looking at the new folder in explorer, thumbnails where being shown, but with strange purple and green casts.I then decided to run all the images through Adobes DNG convertor,and lo and behold all the images where now normal,and easily viewable.

(I dont like that the back button doesnt close apps so I always use the menu button when I finish using something. However there are some apps that have a dedicated exit button. What bugs me is that even though I use the exit button, the thumbnails are still present in the menu. Did I change something, because I think the exit used to work properly in UC browser before? I mean if my memory serves me right the exit button seemed to bypass this problem before, so I didnt have to close the tabs in the menu. But now im just left confused.
Even if I end all active applications in the task manager, the thumbnail tabs remain in the menu. soo...is this normal?
