im lost on this blackberry website, and im starting to think there useless, i had my phone wiped out and when i went to install the back up of my phone, the password was not entered in and its been over 2 years since ive used the email password. i dont know how to find out my password or now sign onto my email.
I am try to add my gmaill account to my Torch 9800 but keep getting a message "Invalid email address or password. Verify your email address and password.If error persists, contact gmail.com."
Knowledge Base articles tell me that in order to recover from forgetting my iPhone 5s's encrypted backup password, I have to erase the iPhone and set it up as a new device, then restore it from my backup. However, one thing is not clear -- am I right in understanding that the restored backup will no longer be encrypted? and/or does restoring the backup allow me to specify a new backup scheme that does not encrypt future backups? I find it difficult to understand how/when the former encryption is removed.Â
I store my pics in the files options on my phone, not on the memory card. For whatever reason all the pics were accidentally deleted.Is there anyway to recover these pics?
Have tried to go to the message /setup icon and clicked menu to open the Internet Mail Account ,but its not responding or opening so that I can change the password.
I have a Torch exact message is "unable to validate the email address and password combination". When I try "forgot password" the message I get is "Blackberry App World is having trouble connecting to the blackberry app world server. Verify your network connections and try again. (error id : 30637) "This happens when I try WIFI or not on WIFI. My plan lets me use internet anywhere I get reception. I have tried wiping my phone and restoring everything.I can not find any help on the internet and this is a very frustrating problem as there is no point in having a blackberry if I can't download any new apps.
I have requested three separate times to reset my Blackberry ID password. Each time is says that an email with instructions to reset my password has been sent, but the emails are not coming through to my email account (not inbox, junk, spam...anything). I'm effectively locked out until I can reset my password.
I got an email on my smartphone from Blackberry this morning, saying "Action Required: Validate Password". It says that email messages are not being received for my email address and gives directions to resume receiving messages.One thing that made me suspicious was that the email address listed capitalized the first letter of my real address. But I wasn't getting more email, so I tried the fix.When I followed the directions, using the capitalized address, I got a message saying invalid password. I tried to change back to the lowercase version of the address, and got a message saying that address was already set up.I did NOT get this message in my inbox on my computer, and I've not gotten any further messages on my phone. I suspect foul play, but need advice as to how to put things right. I'll change my email password for sure.. what else?
My BB ID for my Torch has an email address that is missing a digit.When I reached the maximum login attempts, I tried resetting the password but the BB ID for this device is missing a '1', thus when it sends the reset email, it's sending it to an email that isn't mine. I reset my password for the BB ID I thought was for this device, which includes the '1', but when I try using that BB ID on this phone, it says something like "use the BB ID associated with this device".
For some reason when i try to change the password for my email account it dont pop up. i neeed to change the password so i can receive my email to my phone .
Is there anyway to update your email password WITHOUT using Att Network. Just wifi. I went to setup and email accounts. But it wants me to connect to the network. I am deployed overseas so I don't have access to the Att Network.Torch 9800 OS6?
I got a blackberry torch. I set up my emails before and then I updated my phone and wiped everything off. Now when I go to set up my emails again its asking me for a user name and password.. Which I don't remember.. How do I retrieve the username and password?
I need to reset an existing email and setup is now asking me to login with a user name and password, this has not been the case in the past on my phone. I do not have a password enabled on my phone. It will give a forgotten password option and asks for a username. No matter what email address I give it tells me the password was successfully sent to my blackberry, but it does not appear in any of my email addresses. I have shut off the phone; taken out the sim card and battery and started back up and that doesn't change it either.
Try as I might I can't get onto anything that requires me to log into my new (11 days old) blackberry torch; and I know I am putting the correct email address and password details
I just replaced my Blackberry Torch 9800 with an identical device. There is a User name and Password needed to access e-mail settings.
My device prev iously remembered the User Name and Password (e.g., when I had to synchronize my e-mail whenever the password for the e-mail account changed) but now that the device has been replaced, it is now asking for this information which I have misplaced. Is there an easy way to re-set this password?
I do not remember the User name either (it says the password can be sent to the device if the correct User name is provided). Unfortunately right now I cannot access any e-mail on the device.
I have changed my email password on my gmail account using the web browser on my desktop. But I am having difficulty accessing the email settings on my Torch so that I can tap in the new password. I go to "Set up" and then have the choice of "Internet mail account" or "Enterprise account". I click on the first one and get a page entitled "existing users". I then have to tap in my user name and password. I assume this refers to my blackberry username and password. But when I tap the info in and press "continue" I get a message saying "The user name is invalid. A user name must be at least 4 characters". My user name is my gmail address which includes 16 letters before @gmail.com.

I have a bb torch, need to recover deleted text and mms from about a month or 2 ago, since those messages were deleted, there has been a lot of text message activity and deletion.The corporation i work for has sent the device off to 'forensics' (not sure who to)What is the likelyhood of these texts being recovered?off the device or the sim card.I do not have a backup file.I dont think i had the 'save to sim' option checked.

I have an icon for the email account, but it does not receive emails/it is empty/won't send or receive messages.
I was trying to sync the unit with my PC the other day to back -up my contacts and SMS messages when it prompted me to enter a password. I initially keyed-in the password that I inputted to the device when I got surprised that it prompted an error message (I remember my password really well and normally do not have problems with this.). Thinking that since I am syncing my phone device to my PC, it might be prompting for my PC password (as opposed to my phone password), so I also tried my PC password, again an "Incorrect Password" message. Thinking it might be some default password, I also tried 1234 and 12345 and still both failed! Now, I am down to my last try (4/5 tries already), or else "All information will be erased".Is the password being prompted my ORIGINAL phone password? Does syncing the phone with the PC "change" the password of my device to that of my PC? Also, since my password includes numerals, I am now suspecting that I may not have pressed the Alt Key hard enough to properly register the numerals? Although in the past, I didn't really encounter a similar problem keying-in my password that's why all this is a surprise for me.I am tempted to use the touch screen qwerty for my last try to ensure that I am typing in the right password, inclusive of the numerals. I just need a reassurance that the phone password is the same, and that syncing the devise did not change it.
Maybe I'm not doing it right, but I enable a password on my torch, use the lock button, and when I press the lock button again it unlocks it without asking for the password. Both my 9000 and my 9700 made me enter the password after I hit unlock.
I synched my wife's iPhone 4S with her MacBook for the first time today, and inadvertantly wiped her contacts by selecting some of the advanced settings and replacing the contacts on the phone with the the 0 contacts she has saved on her laptop.
I imported about 500 photo's from my iPhone into iPhoto from my holiday, after it finished importing it asked the usual 'Do I want to delete the photo's from the phone now?' so I clicked yes. iPhoto then froze up and I had to force close it. My problem is now the photo's are neither on the iPhone or in iPhoto! Is there any free recovery methods/programs that I can use?
