I have a problem with my Maps Application. Firstly I only have 9 icons on the Maps display page instead of the 10 that is shown on the Nokia website, I have found I do not have the Michelin guides........any ideas why?
I cannot download the Here and Now 2.0, it states that the Installation failed and have tried many times to reinstall it. Does this have anything to do with the missing Michelin Guide icon not being there?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've installed ver 3.03 and maps to my memory card. I've discoverd that if I'm offline I can only drive to a location within about 1 mile. Above that I get a "route not found". I dont get this problem selecting walk. If I configure the application to be on-line then I can create a drive of any length.I've tried removing the application and maps and then reinstalling but get the same problem.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI purchased an Unlocked Samsung Galaxy S5 on Amazon in March to use with AT&T. Since I purchased the phone I've been having continued issues with the GPS specifically when using Google Maps and Waze for GPS directions. The location services works fine for every other app, including Swarm/Foursquare, Weather and Facebook...there are no issues finding my location for these applications.
When using Waze: I will always get the "No GPS. Showing approximate location." error every time I attempt to use the app.
When using Google Maps: The phone does not track along with my progress through the turn-by-turn navigation. The GPS will follow me along the route, but the application will not provide the turn-by-turn updates as I progress along the route (it will stay stuck on the first step of the trip throughout).
I've already attempted to clear data, clear cache and force stop the apps several times, I've used the GPS Status app to download GPS assistance data as well as using it to reset the GPS cache. The application is unable to find GPS location, no matter how long I leave it running and regardless of whether I'm sitting outdoors on a completely clear sky or indoors, there's no luck with the app.
This really starting to get on my nerves, and I'm considering just doing a factory reset of the phone in the hopes that doing so will reset the GPS as well (I'm assuming I must have done something along the way during the set-up when I first started up the phone).
had it in my pocket whislt I was walking round, and when I sat down at a restaurant and looked at it, and it was almost like the phone had just died, but the screen didn't light up and the LED didn't flash. I charged it up fully the night before and i know that when the battery is flat it flashes yellow, but it was doing nothing.When I got home i tried charging it, but nothing and then I plugged it into my laptop to try a retrive all of my stuff on there but again nothing!

I'm trying to use the location-based reminders feature. It doesn't recognize my contacts' addresses.
So I've tried figuring out what's wrong with the addresses I've entered: I touch them on the contact details screen, and it switches to the Maps app, and after a quick search tells me "No results found". However the search string (the same address I had in the contact details) is still in the search bar. I just touch "Search" at the bottom, and it finds it straight away!
Now, if I touch this adress pin and "Add to contacts" it puts a usable address in the contact, meaning that _this_ address I can touch and reach the location on Maps just fine. However it does NOT save the house number, so it only locates the middle of the street, which isn't _that_ good for me.
Another try: If I remove the house number from the manually-entered address it also finds the location on the first go, but again: that doesn't allow me to properly set location reminders for my house.
More attempts: Entering a US address (my childhood house) also succeeds in finding a location on the first touch in the contact details, however it gives me the wrong location. Only a second touch on the "Search" button brings me to the right place.
I'm beginning to think that there is some kind of miscommunication between the contact list software and Maps...

The phone works fine, but I'm having some problems with the maps.
Whenever I try to search for an address I get a (very) brief "searching online" progress bar, but every time I get "no results found", regardless if I'm searching for a full address or just a city.
A few days back I tried to retrieve attachments to emails on my BB Torch and received the message "Attachment Server Not Found" and could not get the attachments.

Firstly I have 2 icons that flash intermittently in the top right of my homescreen - 'DA' and 'ENG'ould someone please advise what they mean, and why they are thereI have been using the phone for 2 months, and they have only appeared in the last week or 2Also, the phone is very slow to unlock, etc - there is a lag. Now of course I've tried selecting "Show All" from the BlackBerry menu, yet none of the missing programs show up.It first started a few months ago, where my Twitter app stopped showing up (even though in BlackBerry App World it showed as installed, yet was no where to be found). I managed a work-around, by using UberSocial, so I didn't bother looking into it. Then I tried downloading Hoot Suite, with again the same problem; App World said it was installed, but the actual program was no where. Now I just had a third program do the same thing, but this one's more important. The actual app for BlackBerry App World is now not showing up; so not only can't I use its barcode reader, but I obviously can't download any programs, or update any.

When i highlight the "hidden" icon and press the button to open up the menu no menu comes up. But it works with other icons, I press the button to call up the menu and it works (i can even hide and unhide other icons at will)

The arrow head is just a vertical and horizontal line that looks like an "L" if you removed the arrow tail.I don't see an app that starts with an "L" in my list. View 1 Replies View RelatedLast week when he got the phone I added a Hotmail account and 3 of his business POP3 accounts on to the phone and they seemed to work fine. Each account appeared as icons on the home screen and when I sent test messages to each they were successfuly received with the little star signalling a new email on the respective icon.Then, when tapping each account's icon I'd be taken to the inbox for that account. Went to his place this evening and it's gone a bit weird! When clicking on any of the email account icons I get taken to the 'messages' folder which only contains text messages. There's no way of accessing the emails in any of his 4 email accounts.When a new email comes in now there is a notification at the top of the screen near the time and that's the only way to view an email. No way of accessing all existing emails.
