I have a bb torch 9800 and some of my on screen icons have stopped responding . 1st my facebook icon , I tap it and it doesn't responds and my phone freezers , 2nd I go into media - pictures - my albums are there but when I tap on them they don't responde either and my phone freezes .
View 1 RepliesFirst off when I take my phone out of lock or wake up it from sleeping the icons are missing till i wipe my finger across the screen.. its weird to explain but its kinda like i have to swipe the whole screen for the icons to be visable the same thing happens when my phone goes to sleep and the keyboard is open.. any ideas?
and another thing is sometimes ill be writting a msg and my phone will make 3 beeping prompting type of noise any idea what this is?
My icons which appear at the bottom bar of the screen have disappeared, I have to touch the bar to open the tray, how do I get the icons back on the bottom bar.

My Torch (my 6th BB) somehow switched the number of icons per screen configuration from many icons to a single icon per screen. The Torch screen locking mechanism is too sensitive and my BB unlocked in my pocket (this is a major defect).Once unlocked my "pocket" must have launched a shortcut from the touch screen reconfiguring the number of icons per screen. I was told by a BB guru that I would probably have to reload the OS software to get the standard configuration back. how to launch the icon settings short cut? What is absurd and annoying is that there is no way to change the number of icons per screen from all the Options (tool icon) menu.

After changing my passwords, I went into my email setup to change the passwords on my phone. However, when I tried to access the email setup, all it would do is the "loading" icon, followed by nothing. Attempting to leave the Setup would then cause the phone to lock up, necessitating a shutdown. I've tried hard-resetting it via battery pop, not sure what else I can do to access the email setup.

I have owned the Torch 9800 since March.All has been well until last week when I changed the password on one of the 3 email accounts I had set up on my device. This password change left one of the accounts unable to send or receive mail, and is also what lead me to discover that I could not enter email set up on my device or via my network providers website ( www.o2email.co.uk ) .I have spent hours on the phone with O2 discussing this issue. The usual checks and procedures have been carried out, battery pulls, checking settings etc and the service books have been deleted and resent several times. These actions have not resolved the problem but instead led to the loss from my device of the other 2 email accounts which were working correctly but have now disappeared into thin air. Having tried all possible solutions with O2 I now come here looking for an answer.
When I visit my Network Providers BlackBerry mail service trying to create an account using my pin etc, I am without fail getting a pop up box containing the error message ''Your account is not accessible via HTML browser. Please use your devive to access BlackBerry Internet Service'' !? The result is the same whether I log in from my device over 3G or Wireless, or from a PC (have tried several browsers) .On my device, when I click on the Email Accounts icon from the setup menu nothing happens, no response at all. I have tried many times and there is just no way to set up or edit mail accounts. I am without mail on my device and growing increasingly short of patience.
I am now hoping somebody here can offer me some advice on how to resolve this issue. hat use is a BlackBerry without email capabilities ? I see from researching email set up problems on the Torch 9800 that I am not alone here so if somebody at BlackBerry is listening ? If this is a Torch 9800 issue then I am sure you will be doing all you can to resolve this but in the meantime

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've acquired the handset yesterday and I have tried the "card in front battery trick" but nothing works, the four knobs on the button and the knobs on the side works, everything is visible with the screen it is showing everything just perfect and it isn't "sticking" or "laggy" but when I touch the screen it just isn't responding no matter where I touch it and also how hard I press.

i recieved a text today and when i went to slide to unlock my phone my screen didn't respond. i tried to take a picture and my screen still doesnt respond. so i slide up and it works but it doesn't respond when i try to click on camera, calculator, flashlight, etc...then i pull down and it works but wont allow me to press on anything.

My iphone 5s' touchscreen has not been responding as of late. it glitches very badly, randomly opens apps and does not respond to my touch. Sometimes it even completely freezes up. I do not know what to do. It just goes in and out of apps crazily without me doing anything to it. Its as if it is being controlled remotely from somewhere else.Â
I have tried to restart the phone to fix the issue but that hasn't worked. I also reset the phone to factor settings and set it up as a new device but to no avail. this is really inconvenient as I need my phone to function properly for day to day use.
