BB Torch :: Lost Contacts When The Os Was Updated?
Oct 30, 2012I'm not sure if I lost my contacts when the os was updated or the memory card was placed. All I an know is all my contacts disappeared and all my apps disappeared.

Mar 14, 2012I updated through my phone not itunes to 5.1 everything worked and is fine except it deleted all my contacts in my contact list. The weird thing is that in my txts the names are there and if you hit contacts at the top of the txt it shows all the info of the contact like id be looking at it in my contact list.

Apr 8, 2012I have updated to os 5 today. Took all the precautions beforehand pressing sync and backing up etc. After the update I have lost all my contacts and apps and how they were arranged on the home screen. Stangely, I still have all my text messages. I'm not bothered about my apps or music they can be purchased again but is there any way of getting my contacts back? I have spent 3+ hours trying many of the options that other have used after a google search but they don't work.

Dec 3, 2012This is regarding my bb torch 9800. I just did an update directly from the bb website and NOT from a desktop icon. All I did was connect the phone and pressed "check for updates", from which the results said that there was an update available. It never once asked me to do a system backup...just told me that this could take up to an hour and that I'd be unable to use the phone. All my contacts are gone. This is my first bb so clearly i had no clue about doing a sync to my sim card. Is there any way that I can save all that lost contact info?

Oct 12, 2012I lost my bb 9800, i think i have data somewhere on bb server because when i login on BB protect website i can see that in archived back up details but i'm unable to restore it. And when i try to restore on my new 9810 it says "This data is already wirelessely synchronized with a remote service and cannot be restored by blackberry protect" only for contacts. And i've archived the device by mistake n now it shows "Remote admin commands are not available on archived devices".
