BB Torch :: Lost All Data When Updated?
Mar 27, 2012I just lost all my data when I updated the phone on the desktop and don't know how to retreive all my setting etc. I tried to restore but I don't have a backup file.

Mar 11, 2011My girlfriend and I both have Bberry torch (9800). I have updated her Bberry with the Desktop Manager a couple of days ago and for some reason, the update took a lot more time than usual (more than the whole afternoon). I know it was frozen, but I didn't want to loose any software info and have problems with a half-updated device. But, at the end of day, I had no other options, and I had to reboot the update again. Luckily, I had done my back up prior to this.
And as expected, after the successful update, I had lost all my personal data due to the failure of the first update attempt. Therefore, I uploaded the back up in the device, and all personal data came back (lucky me).However, the information in the password manager application is all gone.
BB Torch :: Lost Data After Upgrade To OS 6 Bundle 2647?
Apr 2, 2012I recently upgraded the OS on my Torch 9800 to OS 6 bundle 2647. Everything seems okay except that the passwords that were stored in my SplashData app are now gone. Is the data file still on the phone somewhere or can it somehow be recovered?I did not back up the phone with the Desktop manager before the upgrade.

Mar 14, 2012I updated the firmware of my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5.1 yesterday. After the update, I noticed that I have lost all of my contacts on the phone, so I plugged it back in to the computer and went with "Restore from backup", which was dated just a few hours prior to updating the firmware.
After it finished restoring, my contacts were all back but half of my apps are missing. I tried redownloading from the App Store as well as syncing from the computer, but the data (game saves, etc) are still missing. How do I get them back?

The weird thing is that in my txts the names are there and if you hit contacts at the top of the txt it shows all the info of the contact like id be looking at it in my contact list.

Took all the precautions beforehand pressing sync and backing up etc. After the update I have lost all my contacts and apps and how they were arranged on the home screen. Stangely, I still have all my text messages. I'm not bothered about my apps or music they can be purchased again but is there any way of getting my contacts back? I have spent 3+ hours trying many of the options that other have used after a google search but they don't work.

Apr 12, 2012How to retrieve my lost music. My laptop that I had all of my music on was ruined a leak in my ceiling. So after that I pretty much only downloaded songs to my phone. I just updated my phone and lost all of my music. It said that it was backing up my phone so I thought it was putting my music in a file on my new computer. I did a search and it appears to be no music at all. Does anyone know how to remedy this matter?

Jul 9, 2012Updated to OS 6.0 bundle 2921, the settings on the desktop software were only set to sync date and time. It updated and rebooted, and wiped all my music and most importantly pictures.
The strange thing is that my background wallpaper was one of those pictures and it is still there. Did this update Really wipe everything forever?? It shows total application memory of 250MB and free application memory of 34MB.

Jun 10, 2012after updating to the 5 version for my iphone 4 the screen went blank, nothing would work and the itunes said error. tried again and same thing happened. couldn't bring my phone back to life so did a restore on it. that worked but lost everything and the itunes said if you do a restore it will bring back the contacts on it etc but no. All the apps have gone, my contacts, notebook etc.I have tried syncing back to the itunes to pick up the music again and it will only do 1 song, then says there is an error and won't upload anymore, it just freezes. I have deleted icloud thinking that might be the problem as it was updated and was added. but no change.
