I recently notice that my "Switch Application" command does not work. I have always and already "press and held" the Blackberry Icon, but the screen never pops up. I want to make sure I don't have too many apps running at once.
View 1 RepliesI have too many icons ( and I guess apps too) running in the screen when you want to switch apps. I have tried going in the app and then clicking "close" in the menu, the end call key and nothing seems to work. Some applications have the word "exit" on their menus and that seems to do the trick for some and but not all.

I had a Windows phone, and when a text would come through my Bluetooth, it would say Text From......then read the text, then it would give me the option to reply back (With voice text) ignore, etc. Now with my LG G4, it's synced up, but when a text comes through....it just comes up on the car display...New Message Received...then I was told to push the OK on my steering wheel, but only defaulted text replies come up....no voice text command anymore. I was told it's not the phone, but possibly need to take it in to the dealer and it may not be compatible.

I am unable to switch applications after having answered a phone call, but only when I answered the the phone while it was locked. I can get to the "switch application" option by pushing on the BB key, but nothing happens after. Is it a setting issue on my device or a limitation of the locked phone?

On my Windows Mobile phones I can run an application called Bandswitch which lets me select whether I want a 2g or 3g connection. need some help with my Curve 8520. It was knocked off the sofa and a white screen appeared which won't go. Doesn't matter if I take battery out, as soon as put it back in the screen re-appears. Power switch won't work. Red light which ususally indicates message/email is flashing but I can't get into the phone to see what it is.

When i put it in my pocket, and after a while i take it out and i found that my phone is switched off. When i tried to switch it on again, it didn't work. I have to connect it to the charger then it can switch on again. And after it can be switched on, i have to reset all my time and date again. This happened almost like every single time i put it in my pocket. Did i press the reset button or i don't know. Please help me. It's really annoying. One thing im confused is that why do i have to connect to the charger to turned it on after it turned off by itself. If i turn the phone off manually, i can turn it back on but not when i put the phone in my pocket.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an iPhone 4S with iOS 5.1.1 I ALWAYS have data roaming turned off as I travel a reasonable amount and don't want the charges. All automatic downloads are also turned off. On a recent holiday to France the phone the phone decided randomly to download my emails at 3pm one Friday afternoon (after we'd been there for almost a week) - this totalled around 3MB and cost me around £10.00 This was the only time the phone did any downloads (it was in my pocket not being used at the time) - so it appears as if randomly for around 10 minutes one wet Friday afternoon the phone decided to ignore the data roaming switch and download my emails (and apparently nothing else). I have read some real horror stories online about this kind of thing but nothing where it just pops on and off.As I travel a reasonable amount I can't afford for this to keep happening.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have recently bought a Torch 2 (9180) phone with OS 7 from a retailer in India. However, I have been facing some problems from day 1 of the purchase. A summary of some problems is as under:
1. On clicking power off icon or pressing power off button, the phone does not shut down completely. It goes in somewhat standby mode and by just pressing the power button again, the phone starts as if only the screen had been turned off, i.e. the processor still keeps on working. Is it normal for OS 7 users because a friend has 9800 with OS 6 and it switches off completely on pressing the power off button and boots again when the power button is kept pressed? Also, if this is true for OS 7, then is battery pull the only way to completely switch off the phone?
2. The screen has stopped rotating automatically without disabling it!
3. The led light (white coloured) keeps on continuously flashing and drains a lot of battery life. I am unable to switch it off.
4. The phone has started hanging/freezing for 10-20 seconds each time I want to use any app.
Using browesr in my phone i can open all webpages. But using applications i can't connect , it's showing server communication error. Initally i tried gmail application. It keeps on showing your acount is syncing,mail will appear shortly. Android market also getting server error. so i checked other application facebook, etc for all i am getting server communication error.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI found this out last night, I think from some BB Tip site, if you are in an app and usually you have to push BB Menu button and scroll up to Switch Application. Try this hold down the BB Menu and it auto goes to the same place as Swith Application.
View 7 Replies View RelatedSine Tuesday night when my battery died, the Wifi on my device doesnt work (I left the app world open which ran it down). Whenever I switch the wifi on, it says that it is unable to turn the wifi on. I left the battery out for half an hour on THursday night which seems to have worked for a while, but the problem has manifested itself again. I have done a security wipe and re-installed the latest software.I somehow dont think that it's hardware related otherwise it wouldnt work, would it? My blackberry maps also dont work and it says that the GPS is unavailable. Can it have something to do with the Wifi?We have 3G where I live most of the time, but the Wifi is just so much faster using my broadband connection at home. I contacted bb support and have not received any assistance. My carrier seems to think that it's hardware related, but I dont think so.

View 2 Replies View RelatedLast week I purchased the new Torch 9810, a couple of days of use the trackpad started malfunctioning and well...for the first time in many years I received a defective device, yesterday I managed to change it for a new one without any problems.
As soon as I got home, I did the device switch operation with my BB desktop software without any problems too, but today I noticed something was diferent, I don't have or find anywhere in my phone the OS 7 digital compass. I know it's no big deal, but it was a nice app and would really like to install it on my new BB. I have surfed among the web and apps world and all I find are compasses for purchase, and it came free in this BB device.

I've tried the SIM card in another BB and it works fine in there. I've had it charging both with and without the SIM in for a good few hours and no joy. I'm sure theres other things I can try before asking for tech support but I don't know what they are?
