Jun 25, 2011I was working a festival as Security/Staff yesterday and I dropped my phone a few times, I got bored sitting around so I downloaded an app called Erie PA Scanner, it worked okay for awhile, then I went to dial somebody and it kept pressing 3 down at a time, wouldnt let me erase, and it was a big problem. Ive had this problem before too, I was just able to delete the app... then it went back to normal, but now I cant even enter my password properly to gain access to my phone . What should I do here ? I absolutely need this phone

Jul 9, 2010A friend of mine JUST got a replacement BBerry Curve 8330 (US Cellular) after her last one bit the dust. She got it two days ago, and from the get-go, when she types, particularly in Blackberry Messenger, it types the words backwards and changes the letters to weird characters. It doesn't do it all the time. She brought it over and I updated the software for her, and we did a battery pull, but it didn't fix it.

I have deinstalled all apps -- reloaded OS 7.1 tried just about everything problem started at noon today and happened on and off for a while but now is all the time.part of the problem now is i cant unlock the bb due to the password letter combination -- have to access it through desktop manager.

Dec 11, 2012Yesterday I received a notification of a BBM Update. So I do, as I always have done in the past, the upgrade. But this time it's different. After my BB reboots my BBM Icon has vanished completely off of my phone. I then go into My World Apps. It says it's installed. And in no way can you uninstall it or delete it so it can be reinstalled? I also tried restoring my phone to before I upgraded it, but that didn't work.I don't get it?

Apr 18, 2012I had a notification telling me there was a new version of Blackberry App World available. So as usual I updated it and then continued with the reboot that was needed after. I didn't look but later that day I wanted to download something and was shocked to find blackberry appeared was not there. It still shows as being downloaded on my phones management but it is not on the menu. I have deleted it and reinstalled it off the website but it still doesn't come back.

Jun 22, 2014I was texting today and my messages app froze. When I tried to open it again, the app stalled at a white screen and froze. When I closed it and reopened it, all of my texts were gone. The app loads but there's just no texts. I can send and receive texts fine, and sending a text doesn't load the previous lost messages just the new ones. I tried restarting my phone 3-4 times and hard resetting it with the power and home buttons. I hard closed the messages app by holding the home button and clicking X. Nothing Loads the texts. If I type anything in spotlight, all the texts come up, but clicking on it takes me to the empty messages app. I need my texts back. I have hundreds of photos, contacts, and important work data in those texts.
restoring my phone from a back up or resetting all data is not an option. My laptop was water damaged in a flood along with any backups. I have thousands of photos on my phone so I will not restore to factory settings. I know the texts are still there because I had well over a GB of texts and since they vanished, no space has been freed up.

Mar 31, 2010I've been running a copy of windows live messenger on my e71 successfully for over a year - the other day (and no, I hadn't run any updates recently) I tried to use it and found the icon has just vanished! - it was still listed in App. Mgr. as "installed" but there was no icon anywhere, not in "installations" etc. etc. i updated the phone firmware, uninstalled in app.mgr reinstalled etc. etc. tried different .sis no joy at all - any ideas? it's almost if it's being hidden - is there some app I can use to see the icon location of installed apps?

BB Bold 9000 :: Where Have Missed Calls Vanished Too
Feb 4, 2010I have the Blackberry Bold on the Vodafone UK network.Last week once it became available , I updated to the new 5.0.0.411 S/ware.On the whole I have had no problems , however I have noticed that my battery life is most definitely not as good as before the update.The one thing I have noticed is that my Missed Calls Log has vanished , & I just can't seem to get it back.
On the old s/ware , if I couldn't take a call I just had to then press the green button & there would automatically be a list of that , & all other missed calls.
Now when someone calls & I choose not to take it , if I then press close , however then press the green key to see the log , the missed call log is not there. All that's displayed is the actual Call Log. I agree that the number that called me is there with the missed call symbol next to it , however this is in the complete call log.
How van I retrieve this Missed Call Log only? In my line of work , it is certainly possible that I will legitimately miss calls during the course of the day. It will become very annoying if I can now not view them at a glance.
