I recently did an update for my Torch, but after it fully updated, all my picturesmusic, videos, recorded notes, etc. were gone. Im thinking they were backed up somewhere, but i can seem to find them.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the app called Picmix from app world and decided I didn't like it, so I deleted the app after I done the reboot like it says to do after deletion of any app. I went into my media and then my pictures folder and all my pictures have gone from the camera folder and the folders I've created in there with my dogs. As I've deleted apps before and never had this happen, its the pics of my dogs I'm most upset about. Can I get them back in anyway or is that it? Also when I do reboot I have a pop saying "the media inserted have errors do you wish to repair the media card".

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have an N8 and haven't upgraded it to Bella. I can't access to my pictures in my phone. If I go to the pictures gallery and select albums it says "837 captured items" but when I select the file it shows nothing, it says "no images or video clips"!!!.
I know they are in E:
but when I use File manager and enter to E: I can't open the images file, it says "unable to open, file not supported". I don't know what to do, I don't have the cable to connect my phone to my computer and even if I had it I cannot enter to Ovi suite because I have a Mac.
I'm trying to add some ringtones to my Torch. They are there and I can see them in the file manager or when I sync to my Mac. But when I go to the ringtones folder, they are not listed. There is an option to select music for a ringtone, so I put the mp3 file in the music folder along with other music files, but none show up.
The same thing happens when I take pictures with the phone. If I look at the pictures folder, it says no pictures. But if I go through file manager to the media card, I can see the pictures.
All of my videos and pictures taken / saved on my BB Bold have disappeared. I did not receive a message about storage or anything. The videos and pics were all there last night - and have gone today. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can recover my media?
View 1 Replies View RelatedYesterday i was running out of charge and didn't have the charger - a colleague had a charger cable connected to his PC, so i charged my phone through this cable.Next thing i know - i open the pictures folder and i only see the pictures stored on the device - which were taken ages ago. All pictures, videos and voice notes that were on the media card are gone.I took a picture just to see where it gets saved - it mentioned "saved on media card". I open the picture folder and it's not there.
I tried the trick of choosing "view pictures" through the camera - nothing. went to Options - memory - and the media card IS recognized, and says "total size 900 MB, Free space 700 MB).Now something weird happened - i went to the pictures folder and "created a new folder". It got created on the media card and now it shows. And thus, any picture i take and i save on THIS folder - it appears in the "all pictures" folder normally.
My 9700 was being real buugy, not allowing me to open a sms text. So I powered the phone off then back on. I wanted to add some music, when I looked in the music folder I noticed all of my media had been deleted. Not real happy with RIM. I guess this is why the BB is known for being a work tool and not a media device.

I used it a few times OK and then after connecting to my PC (may be a coincidence) I cannot locate it and have to look at my music and picture files through the Files Icon. The memory card is located OK and I have my music and pictures on it.

When the phone came back on, it connected just fine, but all of my saved media (pictures, music, videos) was gone. The media was all saved on the device and we use a BES at my office. Any chance of recovering the lost media? Phone seems to be working just fine--just don't have any pictures or videos left.

So the phone was master reseted before any of my pictures or videos were backed up. Usually I would be able to take a recovery program on windows like recuva to get the files back but my problem was, was that the mass storage was encrypted. Would it still be possible access the encrypted data that was reset off the phone?

I checked where they are supposed to be stored and everything is right: Media Card/Blackberry/pictures, but still nothing gets displayed!
