BB Curve :: Pictures Not Showing Up In Media Folder?

When she takes a new picture with the camera, it saves it and assigns a name (i.e. the standard "IMGxxxxxxx" file name) but it does not show up in any of the picture folders (All Pictures, Camera, etc.) on her phone.A battery pull does correct this, but that can get tiresome.The pictures can still be found on the phone by going through "apps > files > file folders > device memory > home > user > pictures" but again, can get annoying.I've checked and it does not seem that the folders have been excluded, nor are the pictures being hidden by default (if that's possible) simply because they do show in the folder after a pull.Is there any way to fix this for good?Here is the information as taken from her "About" screen:BlackBerry® 8520smartphone (EDGE, Wi-Fi)v5.0.0.900 (Bundle 1626, Platform 5.2.0.96)Cryptographic Kernel v3.8.5.85Branding Version: 1.0.107.668NMicro Edition Configuration:CLDC-1.1Micro Edition Profile: MIDP-2.1Micro Edition JTWI Version: 1.0Micro Edition Media Version: 1.1Micro Edition PIM Version: 1.0Micro Edition File Version: 1.0Micro Edition Bluetooth Version: 1.1Micro Edition Location Version: 1.0.1Micro Edition Security and Trust Services (APDU) Version: 1.0WLAN Version: 3.0.0.126 Also, she's on the Rogers network (though I know that has no bearing on it...)

Hi there, new blackberry user. I have taken a few pictures with my Bold 9700 and the have shown up in media/pictures/all pictures. Not sure what happened, but now when I take pictures, I can only view them if I explore and go to the pictures folder. How can I go back to viewing all pictures? Any help for a rookie?

I am unable to open pictures on my BB Bold. I can take pictures and do whatever with them right after taking them but when I go into the Media folder and try to open a picture or hit the "menu" button, it doesn't do anything. I've tried rebooting and pulling the battery but it won't open the pictures.

this problem has been driving me crazy for the past couple of days. For some reason every new picture I take doesn't get displayed in the main Media/All Pictures folder. I checked where they are supposed to be stored and everything is right: Media Card/Blackberry/pictures, but still nothing gets displayed! I know its not a problem with the camera, because I can see these new pix if I press menu biutton on Media/explore/media card/blackberry/pictures - but thats so annoying to look at pix this way!!! This phone is like a month old, and I really dont wanna go through the hassle of replacing it. So does any1 know what I should do to fix this problem?

I'm, new to blackberry, and on the first day I plugged my Curve 8520 to the computer and the Desktop Manager "recommended" to upgrade to the latest OS (v5.0.0.592 - Bundle1096 Platform 5.2.0.64). Since that I only have one glitch, the media folder is called net_rim_bb_file_explorer.Media I assume that's the internal name, not the display name, anyone knows how to rename it?? I don't want to mess with the OS by downgrading or things like that, I'm quite happy with how the phone works as it is...

Any picture I take save of have already had on my phone won't allow me to view it in the media folder. Even the sample pics won't give me any options. If I push down on the trackpad or hit the blackberry (menu) button it just sits there. Music, vids, ringtones, everything else works fine. Tried reformatting the card and repairing it and nuthing happened. I'm going to download the current OS for at&t and see if that works. I'm on a bold 9700 on at&t running 5.0.0.405. The only thing that I think has happened between the last time I was able to view a picture was I told it to do a wirelees update and the firmware update completed successfully. Anybody have any other ideas?

so forr some reason my blackberry torch doesn't order my media files like Internet or pictures and songs into the media section and the folder disppeared. but after a recent backup the media and all its content reappeared but it is still not in that media section of theblackberry torch's sliding menus.

For the first 2 or 3 weeks all pictures I took I could find them in Pictures. Now I either have to take the battery out in order to see them or I click on Pictures - Menu - Explore - Device Memory - home -user - pictures - and there they all are, but I can only view one picture at a time.

I recently bought my girlfriend a 8520 Curve. Not even a week later she told me that she had uploaded 40 songs onto it and only 6 where showing when she went to her music player. I couldn't find anything on the actual phone, so plugged it into my computer. There I found that the BlackBerry folder on the media card was hidden. I tried going properties unhide, which work on all the other folders, but it didn't work.

This morning I remember still being able to access my media folder through the Media folder, but now, I can't find the music icon anywhere, and when I mean everywhere, I mean like every folder on my phone. I'm still trying to get a hang of my software upgrade [6.0 Bundle 2342]. I can still search "music" and the music icon magically comes up on search and I can play my music, but I can't seem to find the icon anywhere else besides that...What should I do?

I have configured my mgail and official emails on my BB Curve. Till a few days back, everything was working perfectly but suddenly, some automatic change happened in the filters of both accounts, and I'm able to see only emails marked 'Important' in those icons. For all the other emails, I have to go to the 'Messages' icon.
When I check the Filter option for my gmail (or official mail) icon, I saw that it was default marked to 'Important'. I am able to change it to 'Inbox' and see my inbox emails temporarily but there's no option of saving that filter type. When I open my gmail (or official mail) icon the next time, I only see the 'Imporant' mails.

I have several email folders on my blackberry. When I recieve an email it only shows up on the "messages" folder.My previous BB would show the new mail indicator in both "Messages" folder and the specific email folder it belonged in. If I go to the specific folder, the email is inside, it just will not alert me to this folder.Hope this makes sense.Currently I have 4 specific email folders, a text folder, and a messages folder.
How can I fix this? I have an 8310 that was just replaced by another 8310 thru insurance coverage.

Could anyone help me please, My user folder has somehow made it's way into my pictures folder, folder. I can't delete (which i suspect i shouldn't) or move it. This doesn't inter fear with the running of the phone but it annoys me. Could someone tell me how to move it please. I suspect it's really easy but don't want to do something wrong and mess up my phone.

I renamed a pic in the main pictures folder. It disappeared and I can only find it if I Explore then go to pictures. It's saved on the media card like all the others but now when i take a picture it doesn't show up in the main pictures folder, I have to explore and go to pictures. How do I make my pictures go back to the main folder when I take them and put the old ones back too?

I want to move pictures from the device memory to the newly installed media card. I have consulted forums on this and the procedure seems to be clear - BUT! I follow procedure and when I see the media card as an option to move to, it appears above a line and cannot be selected.

A configuration snafu sent pictures to a folder in Device Memory. (Device Memory/Home/User/Pictures) All my previous pictures went to memory card. (Media Card/Blackberry/pictures) I am not able to move the pictures from the Device Memory folder to either the memory Card or to my PC. Normal "Move" and PC downbload procudes don't work (I can't get to the Device Memory folders via my PC, and the Blackberry won't let me move from the Device memory to the Media Card.) These pictures will be lost if I can't move them. I don't want to email them. How do I move the pictures in Device Memory/Home/User/Pictures to either the Media Card or to my PC.

I am new to Blackberry. Just got BB Curve 9380 few days back. When I click photo with the storage option being Media Card, the picture is not saved anywhere, it gets lost. But when I click picture with the camera and the storage option being Device, it gets stored and can be viewed in the picture list. Same thing happens with the Videos.

When I go to "Media Home", open the Menu and select "Explore" I am unable to locate the pictures that have default saved to "Camera Pictures." I accidentally hide an image on their and I was wondering how to find it, I was able to find some images on my media card that I had saved from text messages or imported from my computer, I was also able to find a hidden folder I had just made to test it out, but I'm unable to locate the missing picture.

So.. I took my phone in to get fixed due to a trackpad issue... they sent it away and I guess they just gave me a new one since its a new pin etc.. and layout is different
Readded all my bbm contacts but the display pics arent showing up .. and they cannot see mine.
