I recently bought my girlfriend a 8520 Curve. Not even a week later she told me that she had uploaded 40 songs onto it and only 6 where showing when she went to her music player. I couldn't find anything on the actual phone, so plugged it into my computer. There I found that the BlackBerry folder on the media card was hidden. I tried going properties unhide, which work on all the other folders, but it didn't work.

Yesterday I had some of my files hidden on my phone that I could not access. The files that I want went to the media card when hidden. I've searched google and tried some suggestions, but I still can't find them. First, is there a way to get to the media card directory? People say to go to explore, but I don't have this on my device i even went on my stock theme from att it takes u too explore but it still don't show my hidden pics what gives.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAll my media files on the memory card are hidden. When i select any of the options in Media menu, I can only access the item that have been saved onto phone memory. All the files/folders that where on the memory card have dissapereard.
When i am in Explore mode and select the Show Hidden option, I can see all my previous files/folders. All the folders on the mem card have been hidden, and thus my device cant access the files.
How do i change this attribute permanatley, restore it to what it was.
I have hidden images on my media card and tried everything to retrieve these, I have gone into media menu like the other forums show and looked for explore (this is not on my menu list) how else can I retrieve / unhide these?

In Memory settings everything is switched to 'On' but the handset doesn't want to recognise the card for some reason. I took it out and put it back in and got nothing, did a soft recent by pulling the battery and still nothing.

It did until i set up desktop manager and then i dont know what i did but they dont show. When I connect my phone to my computer I can transfer music and pictures to my memory card. But once I disconnect it, I can't get anything i.e. the music folder is empty as well as the picture folder&video folder. I've formatted my memory card, and redid the process and still its the same problem. Taken my phone apart still the same problem. And I've checked and in my settings it says my memory card is inserted even shows how much space I have left etc. I can't even store any pics I take or see them on my phone I can't even rename them cause it tells me that operation isn't allowed on a read only file. I've checked my settings and its setting is everything must be saved to my memory card even changed the amount or size of pics. Even changed the type of pictures that can be taken from super fine to normal.

Since that I only have one glitch, the media folder is called net_rim_bb_file_explorer.Media I assume that's the internal name, not the display name, anyone knows how to rename it?? View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently added a new app to my phone, upon completion of installation of app I noticed that all my pictures were missing. At first I thought they got deleted and was really upset but upon exploration I have found them. When I go into the media file and go to explore it brings up my device memory then I go to home where there is nothing but I can hide the user folder but when I go into the properties of the user folder I can not unhide it because the hidden button is greyed out. Does anyone know how to change this or fix this? I would really like to have it back to normal! Again I don't have a memory card it is just the user file on the device memory that will not unhide

View 1 Replies View RelatedOk, media card was working fine, had alot of work pictures stored on it and was becoming a hassle to hunt through all of them to find what I wanted. So, I inserted media card in computer and transfered what I wanted to a folder on the computer. Then I formatted the card using the computer. When I put the card back into the phone, the phone knows its there, but I must have wiped the card completely as none of the folders for video, pics, etc. are on it anymore. If I take a picture and go to find it, the media card does not even show up, just device memory.
Does anybody have a remedy for this? I already tried formatting the card in the phone but that didn't work. The phone is telling me in the memory options that 1.8GB is free, so I know it works, it just lost the folders or whatever........
