for the past 2 days FB places hasnt worked on my torch. When i go into options the check box is greyed out so I cant select it. Ive searched through like a million support forums who all seem to say the same thing...the GPS or maps is disabled. I have checked all these and they are all enabled. GPS location is on, I confirmed this is by switching on the Geo tagging on my camera, all working fine...

connecting to the Places App via Facebook, keeps saying Location temporarily unavailable, I have contacted my Wi Fi supplier who assures me everything is connected and fine, even refreshed it, checked all settings on fone and the only thing I've noticed is that it won't allow me to tick the Share My Location With Facebook option, it's a grey colour and I can't tick it!

I tried to check for Face updates but it was check off to check automatically. GPS location is enabled in system properties.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor the past week or so when i try and check in on facebook places on my blackberry bold 9780 its not been working, its always worked perfect until i tried about a week or so ago, and since then ive tried nearly everyday just to see if its working but no nothing, keeps coming up with facebook error 2002 try again later. It works fine, finds my location, asks me if i want to check in, i click on check in and thats when the error message comes up, so doesnt let me finally check in. I dont know if its since ive updated to the new facebook app, i dont always use places, just now and again ,but always has worked great, until when i tried a week ago, it wouldnt let me and hasnt since. Ive got my location settings ON on options and ive refreshed GPS ,tried it with wireless on and wireless off, in many different locations, reboot phone etc but nope still the same.

I have version 5.0 updated on my device and I have recently upgraded my Facebook application, my friends have the exact same phone as me and their Facebook places are now working... but when I try to "Check in" on my device it says No GPS Support, Your device does not support location servives. To use Facebook Places, a device with buillt-in location services is required. How come my friends have it and I don't?

Smart Lock for Trusted devices (that is, bluetooth) works fine. however, Trusted places does NOT work EVER.
i can add Trusted places such as Home, my office, etc.... but it does nothing. no matter what, it won't allow me two swipe up to access the phone- it requires my PIN 100% of the time.
Location Mode is High accuracy (GPS and networks).
I've rebooted many times. I've added, removed, and added places... no place ever works for this feature.
I can't download blackberry appworld, my facebook, twitter are not working, but I managed to download opera mini browser and I have been using that to access facebook, twitter and other web pages.
