Apr 18, 2011Just got my blackberry curve 8520 today and want to let my facebook friends know i was at home but the places icon, wasnt giving me a check in option, only showing where my friends where. can anyone help and let me know how i check in on the facebok app?

Jul 28, 2012I have the latest 9320 3g bb, i don't have the BB Addon, and im using wifi, when i try to check in it just says aquiring location and my location is never found. In my options GPS services are all on and in my fb settings places is also on but it's still not working? do i need to edit a privacy setting on fb?

Aug 1, 2011I have a BlackBerry curve 8520 and i'm with T-Mobile. I have version 5.0 updated on my device and I have recently upgraded my Facebook application, my friends have the exact same phone as me and their Facebook places are now working... but when I try to "Check in" on my device it says No GPS Support, Your device does not support location servives. To use Facebook Places, a device with buillt-in location services is required. How come my friends have it and I don't?

Jul 2, 2011does anyone know how to really sort out places in facebook? i know the 8250 doesnt have gps but it should still work using cell site location..i can get my location using google maps using cell site so i know my phones cell site works, but dont understant why it wont work in Facebook.

Jan 18, 2012Facebook places was working fine on my device, but now it wont show my proper location on the facebook places map when i'm at home....when im out at other places it works fine, but i've never had this problem before as i used to be able to check in where i live...Blackberry maps show the right location but the facebook one dosn't....My facebook is up to date so i know thats not the problem.

I go to Settings then Options then Advance Options and I can only find Location Settings. I have paired my phone to same Blackberry 8520. Location Services is ON. Location Data is ENABLED. And one thing more, I cannot received files through bluetooth.

I've tried upgrading the fb but it says my device isn't compatible or something like that. Sep 4, 2011My Facebook application was working perfectly on my Curve 9300, but then my Blackberry got wiped while I was trying to get it unlocked, and although I've gotten everything else back to nornal, I have't been able to check-in on Facebook.When I try to check in, it takes a long time saying 'aquiring location', and then eventually tells me 'Unable to retrieve your location. Your location is temporarily unavailable. Please try again.I've downloaded the recent update for the Facebook app, restarted the phone, Google maps works just fine, I've checked that the GPS is turned on, everything seems to be ok, except the check in feature is stil not working.

Aug 24, 2011For the past week or so when i try and check in on facebook places on my blackberry bold 9780 its not been working, its always worked perfect until i tried about a week or so ago, and since then ive tried nearly everyday just to see if its working but no nothing, keeps coming up with facebook error 2002 try again later. It works fine, finds my location, asks me if i want to check in, i click on check in and thats when the error message comes up, so doesnt let me finally check in. I dont know if its since ive updated to the new facebook app, i dont always use places, just now and again ,but always has worked great, until when i tried a week ago, it wouldnt let me and hasnt since. Ive got my location settings ON on options and ive refreshed GPS ,tried it with wireless on and wireless off, in many different locations, reboot phone etc but nope still the same.
