Eseries / Communicators :: No Facebook Check-in On E6?
Jun 28, 2011
With my old e72, the facebook mobile site would offer the check-in option. Now with the e6 this check-in option does not exist. Also, there is no option to check-in when using facebook through Nokia Social.
I have an E6 and I periodically send test emails. I noticed that sometimes I receive my test emails instantly. Other times I receive them after a good while. On past phones I was able to set how often to check email, but on my E6 for some reason I cant.
I've only just discovered the E63 and purchased one. The phone seems pretty nifty, not that I need all those bells and whistles. I'm having a problem with the MMS, GPRS / WAP settings for Optus Prepaid. When I popped in my sim card when first turning the phone on, I was automatically sent these 'settings'. I was able to find my way onto the Ovi store and downloaded a few themes, so it must have been working. Now, it won't connect at all, less than two days later.
I've been exploring the phone, but I haven't fiddled with any of the internet settings, nor MMS. I've contacted Optus and awaiting a reply, and have been onto the Zoo website to send myself the settings, but the phone won't recognise them and the settings pop up as a text message that the phone is telling me I cannot open, and there is no option to save them.
I subscribe internet for mobile services..But I repeatedly receive notification saying connection fail and I cannot check the firmware status although I already type the #0000#
im very sad that i can`t find a facebook app in the ovi store for my E72. i read some threads from the past so apparently there was one in the past, but not now.
I'm sure I remember reading somehwere on these forums about a piece of software which automatically downloaded Facebook profile pictures for contacts in your address book and used these pictures for Caller ID?
When I go to m.facebook.com, and I want to view a picture, the picture is really reaaalyyy small, because the resolution of the E6 is very high. I had an e72, and the pictures were bigger on this phone because of the lower resolution, but it's better to view the pictures big.Is there a possible solution to enlarge the picture or something, or lower the resolution to view the pictures. I have tried the social app on the E6, but that app loads the pictures on facebook very slow, it's practically useless.
This problem just started last night, I've not been able to get onto any other site other than Facebook, if I try and get to either a bookmarked website or just another the browser just turns off.Seeing I don't really want to spend that much time on Facebook has anyone got any idea of what might be wrong and how I could fix it?
I just got my E7 and I always get auto logout from my Facebook account using the Social Networking App. The login session usually last not more than 5 seconds. All the apps installed on my phones are the latest version.
Just got my blackberry curve 8520 today and want to let my facebook friends know i was at home but the places icon, wasnt giving me a check in option, only showing where my friends where. can anyone help and let me know how i check in on the facebok app?
My Facebook application was working perfectly on my Curve 9300, but then my Blackberry got wiped while I was trying to get it unlocked, and although I've gotten everything else back to nornal, I have't been able to check-in on Facebook. When I try to check in, it takes a long time saying 'aquiring location', and then eventually tells me 'Unable to retrieve your location. Your location is temporarily unavailable. Please try again.I've downloaded the recent update for the Facebook app, restarted the phone, Google maps works just fine, I've checked that the GPS is turned on, everything seems to be ok, except the check in feature is stil not working.
I can send my location into my facebook account, but the delivered map link does not work. The link is opened, but no map.If I take the map link as copy/paste in properties I can open the link.Same thing happens, if I send a point from ovimap in suite.
Facebook check in.nearby places, etc., doesn't work.It has in the past, but with recent FB update, no longer.I've checked everything on the phone, and FB - everything seems right.
I have the latest 9320 3g bb, i don't have the BB Addon, and im using wifi, when i try to check in it just says aquiring location and my location is never found. In my options GPS services are all on and in my fb settings places is also on but it's still not working? do i need to edit a privacy setting on fb?
I cannot check in to places on facebook. I have re installed facebook and checked my gps with location on.. I have a curve 8300 and it tells me my location is unavailable.
I have bought a Nokia E71 from a friend and when trying to download something from the Ovi store it asks for my user name and password, but says my user name and password are wrong and won't connect. I am using the same ones I use to connect to Ovi on my computer and it accepts them OK. Could this be because the previous owner's user name and password have been stored somewhere on the phone and as a security measure it won't let me in with my user name and password?
Does anyone know what I can do to be able to log in to Ovi on my phone so that I can download an application? The one I want at the moment is Sports Tracker so that I can check how many miles I do when going for a walk. I could perhaps find it online and download straight from their website, but I do really need to be able to download things through Ovi if required.
My problem is, when the phone goes in an area where there's no service, the 3G icon shows up in the right top corner, but when I go back to the area that has service, the 3G icon won't go away and I can't make any calls nor receive. only solution is to turn off the phone and turn back on. can you help me about that, how I can receive service again without restarting the phone?
