The calendar icon on the home screen everyone knows that its a square with a number of the day of the month. I don't know how to stop this icon from counting days. How to make it blank box without numbers?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy iPad 3, iPhone 4S, and both Macs are each set to automatically download purchased content. When I purchase a Universal App on a device other than my iPhone, the iPhone will first ask me for my iTunes password, then indicate Internet usage (the spinning "fan" at the very top of the screen). After the fan is done spinning - this takes about the time needed to download and install an App - there is no icon for the app. It also does not appear if I seach for it. But the App Store app insists it's been downloaded, and if I connect the phone to my Mac, it will appear within iTunes as being on the iPhone, icon and all.
The only ways to rectify this are:
(1) reboot the phone (holding down Home and Sleep buttons) without connecting to the Mac first; or
(2) if I've already connected to iTunes on the Mac, then (a) delete the app from within iTunes and sync (b) reboot the phone (c) reinstall the app from within iTunes on the Mac.
Is this a bug, or a problem with my phone? What steps should I try short of a restore-as-new from iTunes? It has been happeing regularly for some time now. I which I could remember when the trouble started - maybe with the iOS 5.1 update but I'm not sure. Also, there are no problems with iTunes content purchases (music, movies, etc.)

Received my Icon today coming from an iPhone 5S. Still getting used to everything but I have not been able to find a way to add a "favorites" list of frequently called numbers. Am I missing something or is that not an option on the Icon?

View 1 Replies View RelatedBought my 950 from AT&T. I use Office 365 and Outlook SMS calendar notifications (via Exchange) which are sent via carrier email to text.
On my Icon w/ a Verizon account, each notification nested within a single contact or send SMS number (was always "6245"). However, with AT&T I am getting each notification from a distinct number, such as "1 (410) 100-030," "1 (410) 100-031," "1 (410) 100-032," etc., and as per the attached (these messages are from RedOxgyen Outlook SMS that works the same as calendar notifications). It renders the calendar and other Outlook SMS functions useless, as it overwhelms my SMS inbox.
Been pretty happy with the ICON. Noticed a problem with sending group messages to Sprint Android users from Verizon ICON. They are getting a blank group message. Tried an Android on ATT and it worked. My friend tried it from is WP on Verizon and he gets the same results. Tried to talk to VZW and "We'll look into this" and now its marked as resolved but the same issue exists.

I assumed this was as a result of mistakenly clicking "clear who is it blinking" on the home screen menu, however, I've since been unable to re-enable it.Consequently, whenever I either make a call or pick up an incoming call, the screen goes blank and becomes inactive. Also when I have an incoming call waiting, I'ld hear the beeps but won't be able to see who is calling.In summary, whenever I'm on a call, I'm unable to see or do anything else with my phone until the call is over.

If I'm using the browser, or have apps that I look at that connect to the Internet, I have parts of the screen that are blank. I can read some text, but if I scroll down about two or three inches, there will be about an inch of white blank space. It doesn't happen with my Facebook app, Gasbuddy.com, but it does happen with ESPN, CNN, Washington Post -- anything that connects straight to the Internet as opposed to going through an app.
